Creativity Comes Back to Life!!

Ahem hem.

An announcement:
They said it couldn't be done. They said it was a sign of the impending apocalypse! They said it was IM POSSIBLE. (Who are 'they'? Maybe it's better not to ask. ;)

What are we talking about? The next chapter of The Shadow of the Past!!! Now, understand, this isn't a trolling-for-review-bait post. (Not that I ever want to discourage anyone from reviewing, but it's really not. ;) No... this is a miraculous day that seemed like it would never, ever come. You see, the last time this fic was updated was on June 8, 2012. It's a looooong story as to exactly what happened next, but basically, Anise's creativity took a nosedive that summer and kind of never exactly came back. There were moments of hope, there were fics, there was endless work on an original book, but it just wasn't the same. And the last chapter of Shadow kind of came to symbolize this issue. It just seemed impossible that the next chapter could ever exist.

AND NOW, IT DOES. :) This is a very important symbolic thing.

Because there's a lesson in this for all of us. Do you have an abandoned fic that you were SURE was dead forever? Did you decide that you just couldn't ever write anything creative again? Don't give up!! You can find that lost creativity. It's still there, waiting for you! :) So my challenge to everyone who has been having problems with writing is this: go back to something you left unfinished at a very difficult time. Pick it up again. Just start writing. Don't worry about whether it's good or bad. And you, too, will find your creative soul. :) And if it involves D/G... post it here.

The highly radioactive lagomorph approves this.
In fact, she's been writing something that may include almost all warnings.
It's taking her a while, though. But it will be worth the effort.
And she doesn't care, because writing makes her happy. Yay!!

ALMOST all warnings? O.o.
But it's all good. :) Writing, that is.

Very inspiring, indeed :D

Yes... and you know, this is weird, but I think it fits into the whole idea... I was at a write-in today for my regular f2f writing group, and my nonfic book had a major MAJOR breakthrough. :)
