Is there such a thing as a good cliche? I can't seem to think of one...

I am impressed by how well you brought forward the influences from the other books and integrated them seamlessly into this story. Well done! This is the first fanfic I ever read in the Draco/Ginny ship and, unfortunately for many of the other stories out there, the one I use as my 'yardstick' to see how they measure up. The High Clan, the Veil, and the characterizations of the protagonists have brought me back to read more than once. Thank you.

What a complicated plot!
But my gosh, I enjoyed reading this a lot. Very cleverly written, and I will be back to read it some time in the future, for sure.

Holy cow...I can't believe I'm the first to review in almost a year! I've read this story before and I was still crossing my fingers at the trial, hoping Draco would be able to pull it all off! :) Excellent characterizations - I especially enjoy watching Ginny go from the sheltered, frustrated girl to a woman secure in herself and beginning to understand the world in a new way. I'm impressed with the amount of thought that has obviously gone into the High Clan concepts and traditions. The connection between the lord and his land and people reminds me of Philippa Gregory's Wideacre trilogy, when the darkness within corrupts the bond and has to be cleansed. You've written a really fantastic story and I look forward to more in the future.

My one tiny issue: although Unforgiven can stand well on its own, I'd love to see a link to The Bastard Malfoy and The Greater Good or the Lesser Evil before chapter seven. I think having the backstory gives it that much more depth.

The plot of this entire story was fantastic - it was incredibly well thought out, but you still managed to include so much emotion from each character... great job!

Hi, I absolutely adore your writing, and I was wondering whether I could use your concept of "High Clan". I wouldn't use anything else except that plot device, and I wouldn't use any of your characters (like Luc). I would most definitely give you the credit for the idea, and give people a link to your stories, along with a disclaimer.
I do not have a dracoandginny.com membership, but I am on fiction alley and quizilla under the name of Dragondaemon. If you could either leave a message on the review panel, or talk to me on quizilla or fiction alley that would be great.

...wow. This story is amazing.I think its incredible that you came up with a story with the bits and pieces you 'gathered' from things you read from various books, incorporated real history (The Battle of Hastings in 1066, if I'm not mistaken) and ideas from your own imagination! Really well done on a great story! Cheers xo

This is an amazing story, you should be very proud ;)
The complexity of the ideas and effectiveness of the writing is very impressive. Maybe law isn't the right path for you ;) I really enjoyed reading this, so cheers!

stirring... I don't know *how* you managed to think up all of the ideas surrounding the Locks and the Covenants, but it's genius :)

:o
what??? the ancient mythology-esqueness of this story is a bit confusing, but, though I don't understand all of it, it's very effective. What will they do, though? Can the locks be fixed?

I really liked the way you presented the trial. It was both believable (to me, as I am also not John Grisham), and didn't detract from the story... fabby :)

oh... creepy agents, especially Smith, but I guess that's intentional... I can't wait to see what kind of a plan they've got... They do have a plan though, right?

blimey... well, I guess they'll have to find that out now, won't they? Excellent chapter. The detail in this story is very interesting :)

“Ginny, look who’s here! You remember Gerald, don’t you?” arrg. Mrs. Weasley annoyed me here...
Gerald. Evil, sly, nasty... I truly congratulate you on inventing so disgusting a character... You have talent ;)

"velvet glove covering the iron fist", like Dumbledore, in a previous chapter, right?
hahahahahha. Gerald will get an earful now, right?? Stupid, annoying, pompous... Does he even *like* her?? Uhh, I guess I'll find out next chapter :)

ooh er... trust!!! lovely, well done. Draco the man, while a tad disturbing, seems like someone Ginny could understand. I love the way you've given houses and places specific magical auras...
