I love your work, and it would make me really happy if you two could update again soon. Also, I've been looking for more insight into writing and I'd especially love it from people that do it on a regular basis. If it's not to much bother to answer, do you think that it would be easier to start writing stories for the first time with fanfiction (because of the finished plot and setting), or if that would hamper my "creativity"?

Author's Response:
Ves says: Hmm...interesting question. I think fanfic can be a great place to start. Since you are working with known characters you have the freedom for some experimentation with styles and techniques. You don't have to explain to anyone WHO the character is...and you can dig into why he/she reacted to a particular circumstance a certain way or explore their background a little more. I don't think fanfic would hamper your creativity at all. The level of thinking about characters involved in fanficcing them, I think is great practice for someday creating your own fully formed imaginary people. Myn?
Myn says: I know fanfic has helped my writing, because I've gotten practice at all sorts of necessary skills, starting with the basics of grammar and spelling and moving up through plot and characterization. The reason this works is because there's almost always someone willing to read fanfic, and sooner or later to critique it, where it's hard outside of a creative writing class to find someone willing to do so for original fic. The trick is, of course, to look at what you enjoy reading, fanfic and "real" stuff, and figure out what you like, what you don't like, and what you can appreciate without wanting to apply it to your own writing, and then to put that all together to find your voice and write - then seek out honest criticism. All of us write crap when we first start writing - the way to grow beyond it is to listen to people who try to tell you where you're going wrong, and to read your own work critically. Fanfic really helps with this, and it also lets you get used to just sitting down and writing, which is the most important step of all. [/soapbox]

I knew that the last picture was going to be something...indiscreet, for lack of a better word, but I had no idea that the photographers would go that far. How did they even get her like that when she was nearly passed out?

On second thought - the fact that she was nearly passed out probably made it easier. Hilarious chapter. My mouth was agape the entire time. Can't wait for the next one!

Author's Response:
Ves says: Well, it might not be clear from the text, but the idea is that she is NOT showing that much. Artfully arranged limbs and foreground characters are covering her actual bum, but there is enough to tell she's totally naked. Myn had the inspiration for this, but my interpretation was that it was sort of a peeping tom shot...a radient Ginny framed by the dark and blurred forms of photographers and fans...sort of a peek into an esclusive world with a glimpse of the goddess at its center. Of course, I could be wrong...
Myn says: No, you're right. It's very much intended to give the illusion of a distant goddess, a star in the firmament, and while you see the curve of her hip, you don't actually see as much as you would if she was wearing a thong at the beach. I'd draw it to give a clearer idea, but my art skills are low to non-existent.

I love this story, but I hadn't seen it updated, I had almost given up on it. Then, I looked at the most recent and there it was! Please keep it going!

Author's Response:
Ves says: Updates are always going to be slower than you all would wish, I fear. Because there are two of us - responding to reviews and editing chapters takes twice as long. :D
Myn says: That and, y'know, varied personal crises require attention on a semi-regular basis. Real life - oy.
Ves says: We could totally be the next Jackie Collins or JKR or somebody if it weren't for these pesky lives...

Woop Woop! Now Ginny is a hot babe and all that needs to happen is another chapter soon and I will be mucho happy. ;) Great job on the writing girls.

Author's Response:
Ves says: Gin's a total babe! Another chapter is on its way!
Myn says: Well, maybe we can shoot for mediano happy, since it's been a while between updates.

OMG!! awesome! you havent updated in like ages!!!.....well done though. awesome chappie!

Author's Response:
Ves says: Yes, yes. Time began, dinosaurs roamed the earth and we updated...
Myn says: Sorry, we were all caught up waiting for Godot and forgot to check the time.

Oh you two are EVIL! and you've made my day...I can't wait for more!

Author's Response:
Ves says: Tee hee. Evil!!
Myn says: Evil is such a harsh word! We prefer 'goddesses of unmerciful fic withholding'.

Well, it was nude wicked smiling rather than nude smirking but still well worth the wait! Poor Ginny with her bum flashing across the world. Turn about is fair play, though. Draco's seen her in the buff, she should get to see him too.

I'm anxious to see Ginny's conversation with Narcissa after this. I also wonder if the patented Princess Pout would work on Draco...

Author's Response:
Ves says: You make a stunning point. Hmm....this fic needs more naked Draco.
Myn says: While it doesn't quite fit the plot of the coming scenes, it's hard to argue with the possibility of stripping Draco as a potential entertainment ploy.

I love this story. I can't wait to see how all the Weasleys react and if Malfoy gets the balls to do something about his attraction to Ginny. Good job guys!!

Author's Response:
Ves says: We know Draco likes pictures of Ginny...I think he is still trying to figure out what to do with the real thing.
Myn says: Or, rather,
how to do the real thing.
Ves says: Same difference.

I love this story. Very well written. I found this chapter so disturbing even though I knew what was coming. So I have to say I hope Ginny gets some power soon. Both Narcissa and Draco need to be taken down for using her like that. I have faith that Ginny will find a way in her own inimitable fashion and we will enjoy every minute of it. Thanks for writing.

Author's Response:
Ves says: *nods* This isn't going to be a "beat up Ginny" fic. She gets her feet under her soon.
Myn says: Well, see, the thing is that Ginny isn't so much powerless as she is allowing herself to be carried along by events around her. She hasn't come to a point yet where takes action instead of simply reacting (with the exception of bossing around her underlings and the duties she's empowered to carry out as an administrator under Narcissa). This will change, though, because one of the most important elements of any story is character growth, and as you plainly saw, Ginny's character needs to move forward in terms of taking power over herself and her surroundings/actions.
Ves says: Wow. When you put it like that, I feel like we are writing the great American novel here...

Hey - I'm slowly becoming addicted to this fabulous site and I LOVE this story; great writing style! Just one thing - are you aware that there's a real chain of shops in England called Lush? They sell handmade beauty and bath products and they're quite high profile. If that's deliberate (insinuating Narcissa is in charge of a real-life Muggle shop) that's pretty cool, but you may want to add a disclaimer or something, just to be on the safe side. (And no, our Lush doesn't sell lingerie... yet!) Update soon! xx

Author's Response:
Ves says: We are. I have been to them in the States and the UK. It is intentional and we assume that the real Lush would not be insulted to be called THE epitome of cool and quality in an imaginary world. And yes, the real Lush doesn't have nearly the diversity of products our Lush is moving into.
Myn says: Did I know? I don't think I did, but I don't remember. How about we just say that the muggle shops are an extension of Narcissa's enterprise? They don't get the good stuff, but then, they don't miss it, and Narcissa's more than happy to take their money.

This, again, was an amazing chapter and was well worth the wait. Bravo!

Author's Response:
Ves says: Many thanks!!
Myn says: Yay! While the waiting isn't intentionally inflicted, it's always nice to hear we're worth it.

Okay, I like it. It's smart and sassy, but I also think I don't want Draco to get away with this. No mistake, I like a devious Draco, but I feel too much for Ginny right now. She needs some power.

Author's Response:
Ves says: *NODS vehemently* She does. We aren't trying to kill Ginny, really we aren't!
Myn says: I wrote a long bit about Ginny and power a few reviews up - later than this one, but I was working downwards. In any case, Ginny's not going to be meek and mild and trodden upon, I can assure you.

Oh My God!!!! hahahahahha! Thats what I thought would happen but I... didnt actually THINK you would write it lol. wow. this should be interesting. And i see Malfoy's already lusting. I dont think love yet.
Write more soon!!

Author's Response:
Ves says: How could we NOT write it! We are evil, or so says another reviewer.
Myn says: Love takes a little more than a bare bum, despite what some fics would have us believe. We're not going that route.

OMG! Totally awesome! I LOVED this chapter! You honestly have made my day by posting this! (And before my day had gone so dreadfully)
I love it and I can't wait for more!
I'm so excited!

Ves says: How sweet! Glad we could bring a little joy!
Myn says: Hope the days between then and now were okay without us there to help!

I knew this was coming, but you guys simply have such a wonderful way with words! Splendid chapter, very hot. Now begins the most interesting life of Ginny Weasley... Your story reminds me a lot of The Second Assistant by Clare Naylor and Mimi Hare; it is about Hollywood and how to deal at the bottom of the rung so to speak. It is very amusing and completely shallow, and simply awesome. Take a look at it if you have time!

Author's Response:
Ves says: Hmm...I will have to check it out. This fic is already in debt to one book. Why not two?
Myn says: If it's good, pass it on to me, willya?
Ves says: Will do

Ha ha! This is even better than I had hoped. And I am still looking forward to Molly's reaction. Though maybe she will approve heartily of Ginny's new career as a modern woman. "And maybe Arthur Weasley would become Minister of Magic, or Beelzebub would need to stock up on firewood and heavy winter clothes." (I love that line, by the way!)

Author's Response: Myn says: Drat, we missed you when we were responding together. Never fear, Molly will be reacting in short order - it's in one of the chapters we have already written, actually.

This story is awesome. I really can't wait to find out what happens next. Please update really soon!

Please PLEASE keep writing!! It's so good and seems totally different from all of the other stories I've read on the site. Did draco see the pictures of ginny naked?? and I have this weird feeling that one of those photos will be at the press cinference...but thats crazy AND unbeleiveably embarrassing. Please update! SOON!!!!

Author's Response: Myn says: Funny you should mention crazy and embarrassing...

Ves says: Yeah, there might be some of that coming up. *grin* Glad you are getting into this!

Great story! I like how Ginny is hilariously blunt. The cliffy was cruel! Please update!

No complaints here!

Author's Response: Myn says: It's so much cooler when "blunt" gets paired with "hilarious" rather than "cruel".

Ves says: Indeed!! And we like Ginny telling it like it is. We already have too many silver-tongued Malfoys in this story to not have someone just out and say it!

Umm...this seems most absolutly intresting. Ver. Funny but just a bit improbable but thats ok tis fiction

Author's Response: Myn says: Well, if offered a choice between entertaining and probable, I tend to favor the one that's more interesting.

Ves says: Seconded.

O, I can't wait until Ginny remembers she has nude pictures taken. Yay! I love this story so so very much. Please keep writing. I check every day to see if another chapter is up.

Author's Response: Ves says: Well, at least we are keeping you out of trouble...'cause girlfriend, you've been doing a LOT of checking. New chapter is coming. Really.

Myn says: This story loves you, too, btw. It might be a painful love, what with its abusive absence, but it's still love.

Ves says: *SNERK* Thanks, Myn. I always wanted Coke in my sinuses.
Name: Lyraelin reviewed Chapter Six – Potions, Press Conferences, & Pastry Purloining on Feb 19, 2006 08:21 pm
I adore this! Ginny is so perfect as Narcissa's assistant, and I'm loving model!Ginny. Very funny, very entertaining. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response: Myn says: I see Ginny as a girl who will do well at anything she sets out to do, out of sheer bloodymindedness if nothing else, and so I'm glad that's coming through - or i think it's coming through - in her being an excellent assistant and trying her best as a model.

Ves says: She's certainly not phased by the little bumps in life's road. Besides...how could you NOT want to be involved in whatever Narcissa has dreamed up this week? The way we are writing her, I would gladly join her steno pool.

Awww come on!!! Don't stop there! I was just getting into the story!! Well...I'll just have to wait I suppose! Great story and lzz update soon! ^_^

Author's Response: Myn says: Is "lzz" code for "please don't"?

Ves says: I think it actually says LZZ....which means, "Ves, play more Playstation"....either that or "Can I have a sammich?". My "cat walking on keyboard" is rusty.

Myn says: Either way, we'll update sooner or later.
