Whoa. I love Narcissa! A lot of authors cop out and make her merely a fmeale extention of Lucius, but I think that you've done a great job with her here. Does this mean that you've found time to appease your muse and wrote more of the later stuff?

Author's Response: I haven't found time for much of anything lately. LOL I am writing chapter 26 (or trying) so I need to catch up. I have to write the second chapter of the prequel, finish outlining the sequel and then catch up on several people's fics - including yours! ;)

Wow! That is some pretty heavy stuff! Great chapter as always. I've been reading this for sometime but I'm not sure if I've ever commented. I love this story, and wow, I just keep coming back and after this chapter I could'nt not review! It was dark and spooky and wonderful! Vodemore,I think you got him very well. More please!

Author's Response: Thanks for the kind words...it's so inspiring to get good feedback. I questioned the way in which I did Voldemort in the beginning, but I just can't seem to help it. This is how I see him in my head. LOL ;)

Eep! I can't believe you'd leave us like this! I forgot entirely that Voldemort knew what was going on. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: Ah, but the story gets better...trust me! (and cliffies are a given. you have to have cliffies) ;) Thanks for the review!

Would you believe I screamed along with Ginny!!? How horrible you are to leave it right there! I printed this entire story and read it in one go. I should have been washing dishes and getting ready to go to the out-laws for dinner, but noooooooo. I was reading your wonderfully enthralling tale! Please tell us you have further chapters ready for posting. I am glad to see Narcissa standing up for Draco. She would have to have some steel in her backbone to have hung in there with Lucius for so long. Please post again soon.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the kind words. And have no fear...this story is always about 10 chapters ahead of when I post (I'm finishing #25 now)...so don't worry, I will finish it. Not to mention it is becoming a trilogy. I am also working on the prequel to it which will post upon this story's completion. Glad you're enjoying it!

Gah! GAH! GAAAAH! WHY is it one of the last times they will see each other?!?!! *diiiiieeeees!* Needless to say, you've created a great sence of anticipation with that last line. For the majority of the chapter, I was reading happily, with sighs of contentment, thinking "yes! they are back together!" and then WHAM - OMGWTFHAMSTER! It created a nice effect. Well done. The only thing I could criticize was that it seemed like they got back together so quickly. A little more angst might have been nice, perhaps looking in on Draco to see his own perspective, how his mother felt, whether he was angry, etc, etc. That would have built THAT tension up as well, so the chapter would be gripping from beginning to end and then give an added punch with the whammy at the end. Otherwise, though, excellent. I can relate to the ideas of starting to feel more 'mature' about a relationship once you've been through a bit of a rough spot, though I worry for them when the get back to Hogwarts! Those Slytherins can be nasty! But we shall see. Looking forward to the next!

Please continue this! It is a rare occasion on which I happen to stumble upon a story that is not only gramatically correct, but has an interesting plot and well-rounded characters. Keep writing- you're doing a great job!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I enjoy writing it...so I'm thrilled when I find someone who enjoys reading it, as well. And I have 22 chapters written so far - I promise not to stop!! ;)

Another great chapter! I love how your characters, even Narcissa, have depths and complexity. Can’t wait to see if her plan works.

The idea of dream travel is not new (some cultures believe that the dead can make contact with the living though dreams). You have taken the original concept, added some twists, and made it your own. I love your stoy and can’t help sneaking a look at the “pensieve” in you LJ. Now I’m dying to know what will happen in the Burrow that causes Ginny to break up with Draco. You clearly planned ahead in your writing, and everything is starting to fall into place very nicely. Voldemort made a comment on how Ginny had grown into a young woman. That seems weird to me because he never met her as a child - Tom Riddle in the diary did, and he was destroyed. It’s logical to say Voldemort didn’t know everything Tom did (Tom certainly didn’t know about his future self – he only learned about his defeat by Harry from what Ginny wrote in the diary). If Tom ever had any romantic interests in Ginny, those feeling couldn't be transferred to his future self.

Author's Response: You know...you have a very good point there. Now I'm wondering if I should leave it the way it is or make a significant change. Suggestions? (you're welcome to leave a comment in my LJ)

Name: imelda reviewed The Dark Lord's Lair on Mar 04, 2005 03:44 pm
Ooooooh. Very, very scary, for both Draco and Ginny. Draco, because he's been discovered, and Ginny, because of course Voldie's got some interest in her. At first I was groaning at the thought of Voldie finding out, but now I'm intrigued!

Name: rembrandt reviewed Ron's Discovery on Feb 20, 2005 06:46 pm
Whoa...totally different portrayal of Ron here.. Kind've a shocker really. I am rather used to the blowing-top-off-Ron, and seeing a Ron that can be able to think rationally, it blows my top! Hm..shall I be able to adjust from this? I dunno.. I'm loving this story, I keep seeing it about but I never actually started to read it till now. Great, keep it up!

Author's Response: I know Ron is slightly out of canon here, but it just felt like he should be slightly understanding. This chapter was a pivotal point and seems to bring the rest of the story together. I'm glad that you're enjoying it. ;)
Name: Losa reviewed Ron's Discovery on Feb 20, 2005 01:41 pm
What an excellent chapter! Ron is too often portrayed as a clueless older brother who goes on a rampage when he finds out about Draco. Here he is the voice of reason, despite being really, really, really angry. I think it's too easy to dismiss the close relationship between Ron and Ginny (as evident in CS) when writing D/G. You address that very well here. Love your writing!!!

Author's Response: My ego has been boosted! ;) Thanks for the great review. I really appreciate your thoughts.
