THis was a beautiful and very well written story!

The only criticism that I have to make about this story is that it had to end. I found myself quite wrapped up in the beautiful language, the psychological character portrayals, and the world you created within the veil and the High Clan and the old powerful magic... I also thought it one of the most realistic romantic encounters between Ginny and Draco. I am slightly outraged that there aren't more reviews of this wonderful story. I hope you've posted it at other sites because it would be a shame not to share such a gem of a story with others.

Oh my god! My heart is pounding. I almost don't have enough patience to write this one sentence before running off to the next chapter.
Name: fallenwitch reviewed Temptation on Apr 20, 2005 04:23 am
Oh no! Ginny is falling off the C- L- I- F- F with Draco. I really do need to stop reading this story and get on with my real life, but I can't stop just yet....

I just loved these lines in particular: She was not attracted to him, and nor did she seek to ensnare him – she had no designs upon him, his body, his skills, his position, his power, or anything else at all. He felt safe in her presence. And that, he had discovered, was a very rare and precious thing. What a wonderful way to explore the beginnings of a relationship between the two of them.

Bravo! Well done. The hairs on the back of my neck are still standing up from the confrontation. They didn't break him. Wonderful.
Name: fallenwitch reviewed Strength on Apr 20, 2005 02:48 am
Ouch! Draco an outcast among the Slytherins. Great Chapter.

So that explains the veil. Just brilliant.

Doing a great job of slowly layering on the complexities of Draco's inner workings and of his changing personality. The scene where his rage finally explodes was powerful.
Name: fallenwitch reviewed Loyalty and Precautions on Apr 20, 2005 01:37 am
Powerful portrayls of all the characters. I just love that scene with Lucius and Finch. I'm thinking right about now that I need to go and read all of your previous stories.
Name: fallenwitch reviewed A Nasty Predicament on Apr 20, 2005 01:27 am
Wow. I really loved that. You did a wonderful job of setting the mood, the background, and a terrific job with Draco's psyche. I could just see him standing there alone on the pitch.

WOW. I was sooo amazed by the complexity of your storyline, it was just AMAZING. I must admit that parts of the story were a bit lengthy, and very detailed in terms of descriptions, but it was AMAZINGLY WRITTEN. Have you written anything else? This was definitely THE BEST fic I've ever read! And actually, I'm really happy with your ending, especially how you included the "Yes... my Lady..." part (I wa slike :O!!) because I thought that you would either kill off Ginny/Draco/Lucius! ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL STORY! Keep up the awesome work!
Name: Erised reviewed Epilogue on Apr 06, 2005 01:00 pm
This is Erised from ff.net but I thought I should drop a review here too because I love this story and how you focused mainly on Draco with the relationship between Draco and Ginny an intriguing side plot. You've created a world out of clan politics and I admire your ability to do that.

AMAZING I truly do not even have words. Everything was excetional from your writing to your unique but still in character portrayal of Draco. Oh how do you do it? Simply incredible.
Name: obsessedmadwoman reviewed Loyalty and Precautions on Apr 02, 2005 04:57 am
Oh gosh I LOVED it! So far, at least. Can't believe no-one's reviewed yet! The feeling of slight surrealness is magical :P Well, must rush, got to read the rest.

Well now that I have my two stories straight...........excellent work!!!! The last chapters were heart pounding in their suspense and the various players agendas finally reveled. The action backing it all up was exciting and thrilling. I loved that Lucius ended up in the muggle world walking away from it all..........and Narcissa finally got what she wanted in the end. Definately one of my favorites. TTFN Kelly

Dobby! No! He lifted the Veil!! It seems like everythings been rushed to this- and now maybe everyone will have to decide for once what side they're on. Hope you update soon! (because you left us with one part of a two-part chapter!)

You brilliant, brilliant girl. This is the story I read once before. How mean to make me wait to read it in it's entirety again. You write such an intriguing AU and I love the subtle layers that you weave. An excellent story and I am anxious to get to the end. As I read certain bits come back to me and it will interesting to see how much I remember. Sometimes when you read so many fics the fine points become coufused. I'm not sure if it is in this story that Lucius and Arthur actually meet and discuss the high clan.........like I said I can't wait to see if I'm remembering things correctly. Wonderful work..........an excellent read!!!! TTFN Kelly

I LOVE THIS STORY!! It rocks. I love it! Keep up the good work.
Name: Shriya reviewed Slytherin Courage on Mar 28, 2005 06:27 pm
Oh, bother, reading about Gandhi's fight for equality at the same time as I was reading about High Clan elitism got me all confused, but I'm still lured to your stories for some reason. The idea of Ginny being in so above her head makes me uncomfortable, but that's a good thing- I hate seeing a character I like so out of the loop and still blindly pushing forward. I'm curious to see what happens, and of course, power struggles are fun to read, so please keep updating! (I love this six-chapters-all-at-once thing you're doing- plan to keep it up?)
Name: slykat reviewed Slytherin Courage on Mar 28, 2005 12:25 pm
I absolutely love your story. I have read so many draco malfoy and draco/ginny stories most of them blur together, but I must say your story has surpassed my all time favorite, Unexpected by dracademented. The reason for that is simple: the way you portray Draco Malfoy. You have captured the true nature of his character. We see his thoughts and how he is not just so snotty brat nose kid as most portray him. He is something different, something more. You are the only author I have ever seen capture the realness of it. I hope you continue to update this story, as you now have your first truly faithful reader. slykat

This is a truly entriguing story. I've been totally drawn in. Yay for you having Lucius as a loving father, so many portray him as making Draco's life a living hell. Draco is truly fascinating. I think he might just possibly be a force to be reckoned with. The smile he gave as he refused to open the veil had me cheering. I can't wait to see how he and Ginny get together. I think you're setting it up nicely. Can't wait for the next chapter.

This story is great. I love how you've set everything up. I can't wait for more! When will the next chapter will be out?
Name: tkmoore reviewed A Denial on Mar 26, 2005 08:21 am
An absolutely brilliant story!!!! Have you posted this story elsewhere because I remember reading another that talked about the High Clans and the Veil that protected the Malfoy's. If this is the same story I remember that Draco and Ginny do marry and have a significant power struggle that Draco nearly loses but brilliantly pulls it off in the end. I do hope that this is the same story.......I know that I completely enjoyed it the last time. Unfortunately my computer puked and any stories that I had bookmarked were lost.......I would be estatic if I had once again found one of my favorite stories. Can not wait to see the following chapters. TTFN Kelly

Author's Response: Hi, thanks for your review. That fic you lost *was* one of mine, but not this one. You're thinking of 'Unforgiven', which is also on this site. But thanks for the flattering comments!
