Reviews For Quidditch

Excellent story. I don't think I've reviewed yet but I have been reading every chapter and this was excellent. I enjoyed the psychology that you explained in your note and the overall story was definately interesting and original. I like how you took a cliched thing (Ginny falling off her broom and someone catching her) and put a realistic twist on it. Excellent. For your hard work, you may have a cookie ;) lol

Author's Response: Thanks Rowena. It's great to hear from someone who's been reading all along and enjoying the story. Interesting and original. That's wonderful to hear!

woo! just read chapters 1 through to 8, absolutely fabulous. I was very worried before I started reading, the whole Quidditch thing has been so overdone... but that's probably the best rendition of it! The little Psych notes after each chapter were really interesting too, I kept finding myself going "oh yeah..." Pansy's character was great, people just don't give that girl enough credit!!! anyway... looking forward (with much anticipation) to the final chapter!

Author's Response: Your review blew me away! I was thrilled that you decided to take a peek at the fic, despite your reservations, and found it worthy. That's about the highest praise an author could ever hope to receive! You've managed to alleviate some of my anxiety over the whole Quidditch thing. I know it's been written about a lot. The psych notes were fun. If I ever write another fic, I might have to do them again. Thanks for your comments on Pansy. We are of one mind on that girl, and I'm glad you approved of my vision of her. Thanks again. Your review was priceless.

Can we spell 'sequel'? I know you can. It has Part II written all over the place. Another well written chapter. You can absolutly FEEL Draco's horror at his increasing attraction for Ginny. I can almost see her standing there sweetly thinking,"Oh, isn't he too precious when he tantrums?" He is going into this relationship kicking and screaming, but go he will. He can't help himself. I am wondering how you will wrap all of this up and how you will begin the next phase of their lives as they move towards one another. gotsnape

Author's Response: Well, I guess we'll be having a discussion about this one! Sequel? No, no sequel, but if anyone could talk me into writing one, it would be you. Thanks for your wonderful, wonderful comments and encouragement, gotsnape. You're the best!

Loved it. I love how the plot is developing it's really becoming interesting. I like the way Pansy is portrayed in this can't for the next update.

Author's Response: I'm delighted that you like the Pansy in this fic. I think she gets the short end of the stick in too many fanfics, and I really wanted to do something different with her. Thanks for the review!

fantastic characterisation btw! Poor Draco, - so much angst to deal with! loved the apology bit from the trio - nicely done. can't wait for the next chapter fallenwitch- i'm sure it will be as good as this one!

Author's Response: Wow. Thanks JuliusCaesar. I really hope you like the next chapter!

Suuuure he couldn't care less about the crimson package! Squee! This story is just too good! I can't believe it'll end with the next chapter, no! *cries* And chance for a sequel? :P

Author's Response: I'm flattered that you'd bonded with the characters to the point that you'd want a sequel. However, and please don't kill me for this, I don't think there will be a sequel. The reason for this is simple. Draco's psychological conflict will be resolved by the end of the next chapter and so the story will have no place else to go. Sorry! Thanks for the kind review, Lirie.

Only 1 chapter left? That makes me terribly sad! This story is so good. I really love how you portray Draco. Poor Ginny! Tries to be brave and stick up for everyone's favorite Slytherin and gets smacked around by Ron the Mighty Git instead. ::shakes head:: I'm sure Draco can make her feel better! ::wink:: Nice job.

Author's Response: Well said. Thanks for the great review!

wonderful... I think I want to make an icon with a pic of Ginny and Draco and the words 'Beautiful Nightmare'. I'll make sure to cite your story though.

Author's Response: I am honored.

i love that you did the research about draco's problems. and the story is incredibly pasionate (in a emotional way).

Author's Response: I am thrilled that you found it to be emotionally evocative. Thanks for the review.

Innnteresting. I'm so sad that Draco lost the match; I feel as sad as he does because you do such a good job of communicating his emotions. I love how conflicted he is in this--the identity crisis moment was great. But above all, the best scene of this update was Draco lying in bed, watching Ginny slowly examine his room. So real, and so subtle.

Author's Response: Wow. It's always great to get this kind of review, to know that the story is communicating what I had hoped. Thanks for the review, imelda.

hot damn she falls a lot...i know this waaaaay off base but it feels like harry had her play cuz he knew she'd fall and he'd catch her (::sigh:: my anger with harry after book 5 manifests itself in the most inopportune moments). anyway, nice chapter, expecially the morning after scene

Author's Response: What? No, Harry would never do that! I'm trying to make my characters as close to cannon as I can in this fic, and so the wizarding world's boy wonder and hero would never stoop so low. He doesn't have to with his unnatural Seeker abilities. We are of one mind about book 5 and Harry. What a git. Glad you liked the morning after scene, and thanks for the review.

Yay. I love Draco's voice in this fic; he's very ornery and it's quite funny. I also think it's great that he calls Ginny The Nightmare. As for them ending up sleeping in the same bed...I thought it was a bit contrived, but it certainly was cute that he finally got to sleep.

Author's Response: Point taken. Sorry that it felt so contrived to you, but I had to do it. As much as his sleep problems are Ginny related, and with her prominent position as his Nightmare, I felt the story would have been incomplete without some sort of bedroom scene. Thanks for your thoughts and your review!

gotta love a cliffhanger...especially an adorable one with Draco not being a git!

Author's Response: Agreed. Thanks!

*pats self on noggie* Who's a smart girl? Who's a big 'ol smart girl? Yes, you are! Now that I have that out of my system... A truly lovely chapter. The addition of the morning after deepens our understanding of how Draco and Ginny are functioning. This is more real than some of the fic that I have read. Most authors would have them shagging like rabbits, Ginny dashing after Draco as he walks away, something along those lines. You are forcing us to be patient, just like in real life. Things in our pasts have taught us, and your characters, to react slowly, reflect upon the choices and events and not dive in and hope that happy ever after has been stretched below to catch us if and when we fall. Goodness, but your Draco has a nasty potty brain. It should be removed and boiled for sanitation. I flinch each time my eye falls upon the "F" word. I just hate that word, but you are putting it to good use, I suppose. You keep on writing. I am hooked and in with this one until the end. What have you decided for your next work? You are good with light humor. You should give your talent a good work out. I think you have it in you to really shine in that department. gotsnape

Author's Response: What can I say? *blushes* Thanks, gotsnape, for the incredibly thoughtful and insightful review and for making this story much more than it would have been without your help.

That was really well written. I'm glad you added the first part so we could see their reactions to waking up that way. Poor Draco, the boy never wins against Harry :( I really loved the scene at the end with him and Ginny. I kinda wish she would have just snogged him senseless - to show her thanks you know. Awesome work.

Author's Response: I think if she tried to snog him senseless, he would have reacted poorly. He's still in too much denial to respond appropiately. This is unfortunate because that certainly would have been nice. Thanks for the kind review and your thoughts.
