Wow. It's a sensible, compelling and sad stoty. But I can't think it in another way. I agree your opinion of rape fanfics. I don't believe a girl will love the person rape her without a disturbing transition, especially if this person doesn't have any regret. A special story, thank you!

Author's Response: Thanks! Wow, I didn't know anybody was still reading this. I actually planned a slightly different revised version... just kind of never got around to writing it, but who knows, maybe I will at some point. ;)

How have I not read this fic before? It seems impossible that I didn't read this before today...

Author's Response: I don't know. :) But, there you go.

Author's Response: It is... but thanks! :)

Alright, so I finished reading this a few days ago, and it's taken me until now to review because had I reviewed as soon as I'd finished reading it, I'm fairly certain I wouldn't have said anything coherent.

This was, by far, the most horrible, hearbreaking, appalling, depressing, obscene stories I've ever read. I still don't know whether I love it to death or hate it beyond reason. But whichever it is, I know this story is going to stick with me for a long, long time. It was too tragic not to.

Actually, it reminded me a very good deal of those ancient Greek tragedies, where the subject matter of this story probably wouldn't have been as shocking, because that's just the way they are (with the exception of the epilogue/chapter 10, of course).

But I really can't get over it. There was some perfectly appalling quality to this story that makes it hard for it to like. The tragedy was so absurdly tragic that part of me almost wants to mock it for being so unlikely. But the thing is, I can't. I can't, because it was too tragically beautiful, too romantic to be mocked. I don't think I can fully express what I mean by beauty and romance, because this was not, in any way at all, a beautiful or romantic story. But the thing is, all good tragedy is beautiful and romantic. That's just the way it is. So I suppose what I'm saying is that you did an incredible job at writing the most horrifying, depressing tragedy I've ever read, but I can't decide whether or not that means I like it.

I know for certain that I won't read it again soon, but read it again I may, because hopefully it won't hurt so much the second time.

This was honestly, truly amazing. I just wish I hadn't made the mistake of reading it directly before bed.

Author's Response: Wow, I never read this review until now... wow. What a review it is! Yes, this is a disturbing fic, and I honestly don't think that I knew how disturbing it really was at the time that I wrote it. Out of all the Dracos I have ever written, this really is the most unredeemable one (is that even a word? Well, it is now.) Even the QatD's Draco, as unspeakably creepy and not-quite-sane as he is, isn't as bad as this one. So I think that given what this Draco did, this is the only kind of ending that this fic could have really had. He could not be forgiven, and as often happens, someone else had to pay the price for his crimes. But then, for the rest of life, he paid that price too. The only part that is beautiful is that he realized just how profoundly he loved her, and she him. Anyway, it's the most depressing ending I've ever written. It's all uphill from here! :)

Not everything ends happily, so I like that this story of yours shows that. It was different from what I've read of your work. Darker. I loved it. You are a great writer. I have to admit, I'm a bit jealous! And I'm glad to see you finished at least one fic. All these half finished ones...*sighs* I get into them, and then there is no more. It breaks my heart, Anise. Please don't break my heart!

The first thing that comes to my mind is : you are a genius.
First because the fiction itself is very marvellous. The feelings, the thoughts of the characters are described in a wonderful, compelling way.
Second because the last chapter is pure genius. I don't know why, but it just seems right, to see Loki and Dream here, plotting with Draco's and Ginevra's lives. Reading your chapter just made come into my mind Dream, saying "Very Well, Loki. Let us talk..." and made me imagine Dream's planning.
You are a very talented writer. You can play with your characters and their emotions, with different scenarios and different stories to create something very intense. I really, really loved it.

Omg. You didn't confuse me more cuz now I see why there are so many AU's in your stories, but that all of them end badly? That's freakin' depressing!

Anise, you are a genius. I had to read your field guide, but I finally somewhat get it.

What I would give to have a slim part of creativity like you do. By god write some real books, get published, do this world some good by confusing them.

You're amazing. This story was amazing. All of your stuff is amazing.

It hurt as I was reading this, it hurt inside. It was a numb kind of pain. I'm not sure how to explain it but your fan fic was really good. You're works are very interesting to read.

Your Loki stuff is getting a little tired don't you think?

I've been reading your stuff ever since I first stumbled on JotH and I have to say, this is by far, my favorite work from you. Its dark and sticky and it sticks to my mind like syrup sticks to the plate after you try to scrape it up with your fork. I was disturbed by the earlier concept of Ginny's rape enjoyment and her decision not to call it rape. Its a little known fact that a good number of women who are raped actually do orgasm, (which causes no end of shame) because no one explains to them that its a biological response and not an admission of desire. But ultimately I felt you weren't telling a moral tale meant to solve the worlds interpretations of rape, but just a story about two people and their responses to what happened. It was brilliant and poignant and the last chapter made me cry and I'm not sure why. You are amazingly good at what you do, Anise. sangrevetala@yahoo.com

I want to see that alternate ending! But this one does clear up many things. Are you ever going to write the story in which it actually works out?

Wow! That was just brilliant! I loved it! Yes! Myunet should post her alternate ending! Even though Ginny died, I still love how Loki plays in and the mention of QatD, OotP, and HBP. Just amazing.

Hmm, all right, I think I'm starting to grasp onto the plot here. Ginny, Draco, Siruis, and I can't remember who else (Marie-France?) are the only people who can free Loki from his imprisonment, right? So he's making all these little worlds, hoping that in one of them, someone will agree to free him? Or do Ginny and Draco have to fall in love or something? Because otherwise he could have tried to convince Draco to free him after he killed Ginyn in this universe. Am I sort of on the right track? JotH is one of Loki's little universe's in a glass ball right? And QatD as well? TBBC and HC are in Canonverse, and OBSaC was just a dream in that verse. But is this also one of Loki's little glass balls? Loki said he was thinking about creating a universe in which Sirius goes through the veil, but that's already happened in TBBC/HC Canonverse, so does this story take place before that? Perhaps this happened before Loki tried his luck in that verse? Now I'm confusing myself. Can you shed any light on this without giving away the plotline? Anyway, I enjoyed this story regardless of where it fits in to the big timeline. It was dark and sad, and yet you couldn't help but root for these two characters to come together in their 'not quite' search for redemption and justice. Isn't it always fun to kill off a character because you know it's just an AU? :) Nice job, I loved it.

That's bloody brilliant! Now, I must read your other stories because I want to see the others world Loki created. But, what he is looking for? Why he is playing with their lifes?
Draco and Ginny could possibly free him from his eternal prison?
Well, at least, about the story, you ended it in a wonderful way: everything went as I exprected and there wasn't any deus-ex-machina who twist the story at the end.
What I found funny is how Loki talked about the end of Draco's life in that dimension: he could make it as if it was something stupid and of no-importance, completely distorting the POV. Before we were sharing Draco's grief and the moment after we were looking at all this with a cynical eye. Really, great job.
About your stories, there is a first one from which I should start?
