Oh, I wonder what Draco has in mind for our little Ginny. Poor girl! I hope it turns out alright in the end.

thanks for an original story. what a fresh idea. luv the long chaps and the well rounded story line. please update soon.

Author's Response: Thanks! I can't really take any credit for it, because the plot is based on the HYD plot, I just had to twist the HP universe to fit with it, but thanks! I hope you keep reading

What a great story and series. You've gotten me hooked on HYD, and I learned about Tokyo Tower in the process. I love your depictions of the characters and their interactions. Great job.

Author's Response: I love spreading the HYD love! I think it's actually my secret motivation for writing this fic, so that I could expose D/G fans to the awesomeness of HYD. I haven't seen Tokyo Tower, but I will be sure to check it out.

Wow, that night really sucked for Ginny. With Draco being so horrible to her, I was hoping she'd slap in the face after the party. Does Draco have any idea of Blaise's friendship with Ginny? If that light in Draco's eyes is love, is he holding it in because Gin's a blood traitor or because he doesn't realize it's even there? Great chapter, this story is a crackfic, I can't really seem to get enough of it! It's wonderfully written and I can't wait till the next chapter :)!

Author's Response: Thank you so much Draco isn't quite sure what he feels, and is completely unaware of what any of his motives might be. He's a bit emotionally immature, as we will see sooner or later... he doesn't have any idea about Blaise and Ginny's little developping friendship, but when he finds out... oh boy!

You inspired me to watch the live action version of HYD and it was so corny, but in that lovely endearing way that completely draws you in. (BTW, this corniness is totally not present in your story) I watched through episode five and couldn't decide if I should keep going or stop for fear of ruining upcoming chapters of this story, but it was decided for me b/c the episodes on youtube were eventually friend lock.=( Enough babbiling, just want to say thanks for introducing me to this sweet and sappy series.

Author's Response: HYD is SO corny, but I agree - there is something endearing about it that just sucks you in. I think it has something to do with the fact that it doesn't take itself too seriously, and when there are completely unrealistic things happening, it just aware of how ridiculous it is. I added an entry on my LiveJournal (the link is on my author's page) that details the where and how for downloading the series, if you do want to check out the rest of the series... which I strongly recommend, because I really love it, and think that everyone else should too! : )

I looked it up. There are 51 episodes of Hana Yori Dango! I ordered them through Netflix. I've watched the first few DVDs and now I am completely addicted. I want to chat about certain upcoming things...but I don't want to drop any spoilers, so I guess I won't.

I think because there is a lot coming, and it is a great story full of wonderful scenese, lots of angst, and sometimes very romantic, it was good of you to try to stick to the HYD story as closely as possible...otherwise it may get really complicated.

Author's Response: There are 51 episodes of the anime. The live action series only has 9 episodes, and it my first taste of HYD, which led me to the anime and the Taiwanese live-action, called Meteor Garden, because it was so addicting, I needed more! There is a lot more coming, and while there are certain important plot points that I'll definitely be sticking to, there are also some parts of it that aren't going to fit in well with the fic, so I will be playing around. Some things I just find too.. strange or cheesy to do (like where he, like, kidnaps her to give her a makeover) but there's some part of it that I love (in that scene, they have that awesome conversation about money and being bought, etc.) that I try to work in by making changes so that it works for me (in my fic, the scene in the Merlin room before the party is essentially my equivalent of the 'kidnap and makeover' scene)

this is all really good, but WHEN, I ask, WHEN is the *romance* coming?!?!?!

Author's Response: It WILL eventually come, but with all the hate going around, it's gotta be put off a bit, otherwise it might not seem too genuine or too much of a quick change... Give me a little more time, because it IS coming, I swear

i am so excited... mainly because you are using cho as blaise's love interest.

Author's Response: She makes her appearance in the next chapter!!

Okay, so I went and watched the entire Live action show yesterday and wow. It's only 9 episodes long, but I loved it! I'm guessing that there are only those nine episodes? It ended very sadly I thought but hopefully it doesn't have to end tat way here, right?
Anyways, I saw the differences between your D/G fic and Hana Yori Dango and I have to say that I'm impressed that you kept the integrity of the plot-line when switching it over to D/G.
I also have to admit that after watching the party episode I was disappointed that you did have Draco and Ginny end up like the two main characters of Hana Yori Dango. But I guess all in good tme right?
Update soon! I'm so addicted!

Author's Response: Just to clarify, the party in THIS chapter wasn't the PARTY at the end of Episode 2. It was supposed to fill in for the incredibly unrealistic and UBER cheesy scene at the BEGINNING of episode 2, where he has her kidnapped to give her a makeover, and they have that conversation about money and whether or not someone can be bought. Which means... there is still hope for what happens at the party potentially happening in my fic... *evil grin*

Wooohooo - this is turning out to be just fab! Can't get over the way u hit the nail on the head with regard to how much 'Hana Yori Dango' is like Draco and Ginny... slightly modified of course. Please do update soon!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Watching the live action series, it was the only thing I could think about!

I LOVE this story! You've done a fantastic job of creating a very realistic AU with one simple premise - what IF Voldemort had won the first war. Thats what makes a great AU - its not complex, it just makes one thing different. I haven't watched the show that you've based this on but I am loving it thoroughly. Can't wait for more.

Hm. Hermione certainly is wise, isn't she? I like the way that Ginny and Draco both seem to know instinctively what will hurt the other the most. And Blaise is still a wild card--I am looking forward to finding out what his role in the whole thing will be. Thank you for the update. I'm looking forward to whatever comes next. (I am trying to avoid learning anything about the original so I can enjoy this more, though the more I read, the more interested I get...)

Author's Response: The series is completely addicting and so entertaining... I deviate a lot, keeping only the really key moments, and even then, altering them a little to fit the HPverse, so I don't know exactly if it would spoil the plot, but I can't really say for sure. In either case, it's excellent and I highly recommend it.

Fabulous chapter! I really like this story -- it is a great take on HYD, and your writing is wonderful (as always). I can exactly picture Draco with one of those angsty Doumyouji stares as he watches Ginny. Can't wait for your next!

Author's Response: Hee!!! Thanks!

i never thought i would be so drawn into an AU fic. the very very subtle attraction between draco and ginny is great. it's so much nicer than when an author is like "ginny thought 'damn he's so hot. how do i control myself?'" this story is so good that i had to read the update immediatley despite my headache.

Ugh! They are so nasty! So, as Ginny said, they have certainly won this round. I can't wait to see what she comes back with.

Too bad this update wasn't a whole new chapter... :-( I can't wait for the next full update/chapter, because, as you know, I'm fully caught up in this story. You should have HEARD my manic squeal when I saw it on the 'recently updated' list.

Nothing too much to say, except that I'm glad Ginny got a chance to explain her morals to the idiot Malfoy. And, as I've said before, it's nice to have Hermione around, who certainly is able to see right to the heart of things.

Can't wait for the next chappie!!!

I can't wait for your next update!!
