Although I enjoyed the premise of this story, I'm just not convinced by Ginny's love for Draco. Yeah, given that she has forgiving heart and he's remorseful for killing her family, I don't understand how she can just start falling for him before she has even come to forgive him. And then it seems like she forgives him because she has come to love him. I mean, her whole family is dead. I'm just not convinced that given the circumstances she could have come to love him, especially if he uses terrorizing tactics to control her. Anyways, this is just my opinion. Don't mean to offend, but just felt like I needed to voice it. Maybe I just didn't read into her masochistic tendencies.

Let me begin by saying I did like the story overall.

However, it was littered with grammatical errors and inconsistencies and at times seemed unbelievable. She fell for him awfully fast, didn't she? Considering how little time they seemed to spend together.

At times, the story was tedious and somewhat repetitive. There were about four chapters I had to force myself to read, unable to absorb myself into the story.

Also, you used some words that seemed like you looked them up just for the story. Someone once told me, don't use words you're unfamiliar with when writing, because the readers can tell. If those words were already in your vocabulary, then my humblest apologies.

In regards to the pregnancy with the twins. It was somewhat unbelievable with some of the things she was doing, being as big as she would have been and off balance that pregnancy brings.

Anyway, I'm sorry if you take this review badly, it was not intended that way. Hopefully everything will be fixed with the rewrite you spoke about. Good luck on future stories!

P.S. Perhaps you should look into another beta whose strong point is grammar :)

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed it overall. My story was betaed by two people, so if you have any grammatical suggestions, please feel free to make them. Implying that I may not have known the meaning of the words I use is hardly justified or polite. Occasionally I do use words whose original meaning has evolved in recent years or that are rarely used in the contexts in which I use them, but I assure you that I usually check before leaving such words in the story. Lastly, please note that this is a 400+ pages story, written over the course of several years; inconsistencies are bound to have arisen, and I do apologize for them. I simply do not have the time to go back and correct them all.

When I realized this story was finished I just couldn't stop myslef from reading. I was like four chapters behind and I felt so guilty!

This was an amazing journey. Blonde!Ginny seems so far away now... And those chapters when we couldn't imagine how those two could be brought together again. That was cleverly handled. Thank you for this amazing story and for putting me on that list of reviewers.

Okay, so I have probably reveiwed, over and over and over, but every time I reread this story I feel as though I have to tell you that this is the best D/G story I have ever read. That's pretty much it..haha :) xoxo

I probably have reviewed about a trillion times by now, but I have got to say, this is probably one of the absolute best D/G stories every written. This was the first story that got me interested in D/G, and still remains my absolute favorite! Honestly, you should publish this somewhere. It's an injustice that a story this good is not in print yet. I have no words for how funny and adorable, but at the same time meaningfully deep this story is. KEEP ON WRITING!!!!!

XOXO!! :)

ahh I just re read this from the beginning and it was so amazing. I just love the end, the hapiness they ended up with and ofcourse the way you brought in the way the wizarding world was changing. Now gin can have harry as part of her life.

Epic story, just amazing!

Oooh yeah. That sounds exactly like pregnancy. I was the exact same way. I'm entering my second trimester and hoping to god it gets better. Very good job as sticking to the facts on that one.

Youu pushed alittle to far with the last few chapters of this story.
while draco overpowering neville is fine, hermione is pushing it and ginny to boot is over the top. between hermione's knowlage of oddball spells and ginnys temper one of them would have held him off, even if only for a minute.

Author's Response: That's a fair concern... However, Hermione hasn't been using magic in a 'fighting' setting for a long time and did obviously not expect Draco -- why would she have had her wand at the ready? As for Ginny, Draco does not overpower her so much as he threatens her -- would you risk the lives of your friends, and maybe the chance of raising your own children, by failing to control your fiery temper? I know I wouldn't!

as to your notes on the chaper "the willing bride"
the context of the white flower spell might be off. im not 80% sure in that order is reads as wing flower
as alba means both wing and white.
ex..... "alba albas" is read as white wings

Ooooh. Scary. The interaction between the characters is awesome in this chapter. I especially like Neville and Draco's interaction, and how you imply the worst of Draco (in regards to little Harry Arthur) and then turn around to show, ha, he's not really that freaking cruel and compassionless after all.

Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky. Just when you think Ginny's resigned herself to her fate, she pulls a move that so eloquently expresses her true character, her true mettle. Brilliant plot twist, brilliant characterization.

I really want to complement you in your use of the stylistic device of parallelism, zeugma and irony in the first section of the story (ok, now that my inner English freak is out, I'll stuff it back in the bag).
It really adds a dramatic flair to the beginning that really packs a whallop. Good choice. Reeeeeaaaallly good choice.
Name: Tatiana reviewed 24. Narcissa Black Malfoy on Mar 22, 2010 09:46 pm
I love the line in this chapter, where Nacrissa is defending Draco's behavior to Ginny: "Well, he's always been a jealous boy...". I think it exemplifies wonderfully the full extent of a mother's unconditional love, as well as shows how deeply this characteristic is ingrained in Draco's personality. After all, if you're mother willl admit you're guilty of it, well... And you did such a brilliant job introducing Draco's side of the story in a sympathetic light to both the reader and Ginny. Two thumbs way, way up.

Well, I have to say you succeeded in creating an atmosphere like the one in Gladiator. That's one of my favorite movies, and that one scene is a particular favorite of mine (perhaps because it makes my emotions go on the roller coaster of their lives). And I believe you've created that feeling.
I love the Draco you've written, and I can't decide if this scene makes him sexier than hell or scarier than shit. Maybe both. Your skill is marvelous, either way.

I love this story. I think it is my favorite D/G fic of all time. This story got me hooked on the genre, and even though it's not printed or anysuch thing, I'd even go so far as to say it's one of my favorite books of all time. Thanks for coming back to finish it.

I am delighted and yet sad that I have only just been able to find this story. I must admit that as the last chapters were posted I overlooked them for some unknown reason. Alas, it was my loss.

You've written a beautiful story here, I love the characters, their relationships with each other and the inventiveness of your own characters too. I don't know what else I can say to convey my love for this story except for the fact you've made me proud to be a D/G fan as IMO we write the best of stories.

Well done, and good luck for anything else you come to write
xx

This fic makes me smile every time I read it. I was so happy to see it finally completed, but sad all the same. It was such a beautiful mixture of the Potter Universe and mythology. Plus it was well written, and the characters were phenomenal.

The epilogue was very sweet, and I laughed at Draco's overprotectiveness of his daughter. It's exactly like him.

Thank you so much for writing such a wonderful story.
