Ok, I don't hate you at all, but how could you end it like that? Poor Draco and Ginny, just when I thought everything was going to be fine between them...
I'm lacking words to say how wonderful this chapter was. It's probably my favorite in the whole story. Their interaction, Draco's speech, Draco's thoughts and possessiveness about Ginny... Everything was just perfect - really well balanced.
And I know someone who should have been sorted in Slytherin you evil, evil girl! *grins*
I hope you update soon, and I really hope Draco and Ginny are ok.

Wow - amazing chapter. I love your insights into wizarding politics. I can so see this actually come to pass - if and when Harry wins the war... You have put so much of thought into this chapter and it really shows.
The twist at the end of the chapter was just perfect coz its so unexpected. To get shot with a muggle weapon, after attending a wizard political gathering. Gotta love the irony!

WOW...Never saw that coming...How could you let Draco get shot and leave it hanging like that. What meaness. All cliffies should die, painful fiery deaths. This was an amazing chapter. He was so full of life giving that speech. Loved Cissa going crazy for a bit, and how it even shocked Draco. Loved the fact that you made Gin susposed to be a Slytherin but went to Gryffindor. But who shot him? Someone who is against what he is doing? POST SOON

Well, I read this chapter long time a go, but couldn't find enough time to review, so here you go...
It. Is. Absolutely. Great.
Honestly, I think that you're the *only* fanfic author I ever met that doesn't write Lucius as a sadistic psychopat that Crucio's his son and/or his wife on daily basis, and/or Narcissa as a cold blooded bitch who married him only for the money, or because he cursed her, or because she loves him and he beats the crap out of her.
It's nice that someone understands that Draco won't just give up everything he grew up to believe and turn out to hate his parents and posibly kill one or both of them just because he found his True Love. Same goes for Dark!Ginny. They both care bout their families too much for that.
Or maybe I just don't read enough fanfiction...

I really must apologise for taking so long to get to reading this chapter! And it was, as always, fantastic! I love the theme of family you've woven into this one, and the look at both Ginny and Draco's families and their lives with each of them.
I was thrilled that Hermione stopped round, and Ginny's reconciliation with her family is taking another step forward ... and having Hermione and Draco interact civily, if not friendly-ish. A first step! Yay!

I read the prequel to this piece, and loved the way that you set up Ginny and Draco's relationship. I feel that they are difficult characters to place together in a relationship, and keep in relative canon. The aknowledgement of all of the difficulties is important, and the fact that their love is unconventional perfectly reflects how unconventional a pair they are. I've been a DG fan for a long time, but this story to me is really the essence of what they are all about. I decided to leave a review partly because I so avidly agree with your characterizations, but also because I found the last chapter so wonderfully romantic. It is easy for authors to laden the reader with lots of "fluffy" moments too early on, but you really space out the romance, making it feel painfully correct and heartbreakingly adorable. Keep up the amazing, amazing work.
Author's Response: I feel the same - I originally started writing this to convince a D/G-sceptic friend of mine that they could work as a couple *g* So I tried really hard to keep this realistic. Sometimes it makes for a slow story, because obstacles keep coming up, so I'm glad you're enjoying the pacing and the progress the two of them are making :) Thank you so much, I appreciate your comments!

Great chapter, this has really become my favourite WiP, always looking forward to your updates. It's nice to have some fluffy chapters as well from time to time to show why it's worth going through all the trouble, so this chapter is a very nice read. Can't wait for Lucius to show up (hopefully he will) so he can give some lovin' to Narcissa ;-)
