How very mean of you to hide this from me until now. (It's all about me, you know.)

I love the similarity to the night at Godric's Hollow, although I'm very glad Ginny escaped where Lily didn't. This story was lovely and fluffy, and hooray for happy endings!

Author's Response: I know how much you love Pollyanna fluff...;)

*squees* I absolutely loved it! My heart nearly broke when Kingsley was talking about how Draco'd been gone for 4 years and how Ginny had kept hoping and trusting and waiting.

And little Julian's so cute! Even though he's about 6, which really isn't that little anymore. I'm very glad that Draco came home after all and I think that Ginny's reaction to him is spot on. She would have a lot of things to deal with and would have to take her anger and confusion and hurt and all that from the past 4 years out on him... at least a bit.

I love a happy ending. ^_^

Author's Response: Thank you! Cute!Julian was great fun to write. I'm glad you like him.

Okay, I'm an idiot. I didn't realize until after I left that last review that there was a second chapter. The story is more satisfying as a whole than just the first chapter was alone (surprise, surprise!), but I still don't think it will be one of my favorites. Though I do like the bits from the unnamed Auror's point of view--that helps give a fresh perspective. And some of the little details (like Draco forgetting how cold England can be) give the story life. Once again, thanks for posting!

Two of the things that I like about this piece include the way Ginny's strength comes through, and the glimpses we get of Draco's character both through the Penseive and through Julians reactions. Both of those are extremely well done and set the mood of the story. And yet, even though I recognize that on an intellectual level, somehow this is less satisfying to me than many of the other stories and drabbles you've written. I'm having a lot of trouble pinpointing just *why* that is, though. Maybe there are less blanks that I have to fill in for myself? I don't know. Anyway, I like it, though it isn't really a favorite. Either way, I'm glad you posted it!

Author's Response: Actually, this isn't one of my favourites either. I think it's because there's no real or conflict or tension; Draco comes back and all ends happily. Maybe I'm just no good at writing simple, happy stories...? ;)

Ok, I have tears in my eyes. The reaction to his son really got to me. Good job. I'm a sap.
