I'm really enjoying this story a lot, and I'm glad you're updating so frequently. Although this chapter had a lot of exposition, it flowed well and kept the story moving, which is a definite sign of good writing. Hope to see more soon! :)

Author's Response: *dies happily.*

You know, I really, really like this story. It's an underappreciated gem. It's quietly getting everything right-- Draco's reactions, Ginny's inner life, Harry's attitude, everything. I truly believe that this is the way things would have gone if HBP had had this ending.

Now, if you want more reviews... a word to the wise... think about upping the rating a tad. Just a suggestion. ;) You know, more D/G smut in the world is always a good thing...

Author's Response: Thank you, so much. Haha. There is plenty of time for D/G smut to come, no worries.

WHAT a cliffhanger. Great chapter, the flow from the dream to reality was nicely done. Thanks.

Author's Response: Thank you! I was really worried about that, so I'm glad to see that it was understandable and worked well.

i think that draco and ginny make a perfect couple.harry probally won't like it.is it true that harry and hermione are boyfriend and girlfriend?

Author's Response: Most people here think Draco and Ginny make the perfect couple, lol. No, Harry and Hermione aren't dating. I strictly prescribe to the Harry sees Hermione as the sister he never had than anything else. Ginny is meant for Draco, and Hermione is meant for Ron. And that's just how it goes, in my mind.

*smites Harry* He is so annoying! I guess I can kind of see things from his point of view -- he needs Ginny safe and doesn't need the distraction he'd feel if she was out fighting too. But he's being awfully selfish about it. Ginny isn't a possession. She's a human being, with feelings and needs too.

I want Ginny to just dump him on his arse and let him go, so Draco will have a chance. *sheepish grin* I love that she banished him to a safe place in a whole piece and that she has that kind of power. Take that, scarhead! :P

Author's Response: Hahah. Ginny is one of those people that is seriously underestimated; I think. Of course, I'm sort of going to an extreme with it here, but yeah. Thanks for the review!

I think I reviewed this before. I really like this. I Hope you update soon.

Author's Response: I believe you have, on hpff. I mean, this is a better version (or at least, it's more beta'd than that one), but same general story line. Thanks!

fabby...
I think you mean Qu'ran in the first chapter, not Koran, but this really is a faby fabby start. Harry is an idiot and powerful Ginny is interesting... Can't wait for more

Author's Response: *bangs head into table* Geez. I wonder what koran is then, because Word didn't let me know that it's not real. Or what I thought it was. Hmmm. Anyhow, thanks for the sweet review.

Wow, great chapter, and great start in general.
Harry is annoying, the twins are so cool and I love how you are portraying Draco, not to mention Ginny. I was a little sad to read that Luna was dead I've always hada an especial fondness for her.
Well keep up yhe good work :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I enjoy Luna as well, but, well, she really does kind of work better as a haunting memory here. I find that I'm not good at converting her random, abstract line of thinking to serious situations.

Ok, so far I see that everyone is going mad for a bit because of the war. Is there going to be a time when Fred and George ask Draco to look after their sister? Will Harry see how he is driving Ginny to Draco?

Author's Response: I think that Draco would have to really prove himself before the twins would trust him to look after Ginny, but I also think that they're in tune with Ginny enough to trust her judgement. I don't think they'll ever stop seeing him as the perfect opportunity to try out their latest prank though. Harry's kind of wrapped up in Harry right now. He's eighteen and he has to save the world, cut the guy a little slack.

Well written chapter... Ginny's powers are very interesting and I loved Draco's snooty sounding snort. Patiently anticipating the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you! I really don't want to create a 'super' Ginny, despite the fact that she does have a sort of magical 'edge' on everyone else... so I'm glad she doesn't come across that way. =D

*loves Hermione* She's so with it! Obviously I'd be sitting there with my mouth agape going, "And what has that got to do with the price of eggs?", then about an hour later, you'd hear this random 'oohhhhhh!!! *Horcruxes*!'. :P

I love hearing about Draco and Ginny's spats. It makes me smile and Harry makes me want to throw a chair at him.

Can't wait til the next update!

Author's Response: I'm almost certain the RAB clue in HBP doesn't have anything to do with Regulus Black (it's entirely too easy), but I can't resist the idea of 'what if it is.' It's just too good to pass up.

This chapter was great. I can imagine that Ginny would be closer to the twins. In the movies she was almost always with them just watch GOF. Brilliant start cannot wait to see where it goes from here.

Author's Response: Thanks! I always pictured Ginny as a 'twins' kind of girl - mischevious and all that. The war dance she does with them in GoF really just sealed the deal for me.

Loved it! And can't wait to see what you do with it!

Especially loved Draco -- "Boy Who Lived to Bug the Living Shite out of Everyone Else"! We D/G shippers like to manipulate "the Boy Who Lived" anyway we can, don't we? Right on! Even though Hermione laughing at it, is kind of questionable. A twitch of the lips, maybe, but I think Hermione has enough Hufflepuff qualities to not laugh just for Harry's sake.

Author's Response: Sigh. Hermione and I have issues, haha. I can't ever seem to get her just right. So, in defense from the top of my head, I'm going to say that the laugh was really kind of from the ridiculousness of the whole situation. Draco's comment was really just the icing on the cake.

Great so far, can't wait to see where this is headed! I'm proud of Ginny for holding out as long as she did before snapping at Harry - I'd have been ranting at him long before!

Wonder why Ginny waited so long to tell Harry off... or was it all just building up and did Harry's thoughtless line just break the camels back?

What a fabulous start to this story. I can't wait to read more.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I probably missed the mark when I wrote it, but this is really the first time since the beginning of 'the horcrux hunt' that they've had a chance to be around each other. I think she was caught up in the notion that things would 'go back to normal' and clearly, they haven't. And then if you add in Harry's thoughtlessness... you've got it.
Name: PaleRaven reviewed Prologue: In Essence on Nov 02, 2006 01:39 pm
Ooh... I think this could be good... Can't wait tell the red storm hits and she tells off Harry. But it does seem odd that she waited a year to decide that.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! As for Ginny, the way I was thinking of it wasn't that she can't make up her mind, but rather this is the first time that she's been in the same area as Harry for any real length of time to see where their relationship stands.
