That was incredibly good! I don't think it would be as good, really, if you made it into a story. There is a sort of rhythm, a movement to it that flows in and out of the reader's mind and heart and emotions that would break off if the work was not written in verse. I love the ending. You've managed to make this into a complete story, almost, with a twist at the ending that one does not expect. I particularly liked the repitition of the lines "Underneath the blankets of night..." and those following. Actually, the first part, before you brought up the Monster, reminded me of one of my fics, in the descriptiveness of everything. It was interesting to see how you began with a similar intro and then evolved an entirely different plot. The whole thing was very beautifully done, and I hope that you post more, whether verse or prose- you obviously have talent.
