I know this is an old fic and you may not even read this, but I'm trying to be better about reviewing, so...

I liked this, rather a lot. It was poignant. I didn't terribly like how fast Ginny fell in love with him, but that's probably just my personal prejudice against "love" at first sight, probably better phrased as love in a moment. Obviously, it fit the story, though, and not just because it was necessary as a plot device. Her questioning its ease helped, I think.
The end was beautiful, heart-wrenching, and defiant. I haven't seen anyone comment on that last, but I loved it. It was so GINNY, to draw Lucius's attention to her action, to really drive home that it was deliberate. Victory was so close, he could almost feel it, taste it, and then - gone. And to see that blood-traitor in a loving embrace with his son before he was snatched away... I can only imagine the rage that ensued. While I'm sure they killed her family, and Luna, because of her actions, I think they kept her alive for as long as they possibly could, as punishment. It wouldn't take Lucius long to realize how she almost got his son back, their final act being an almost neon sign in itself, and it would have given him pleasure to deny her death's, and Draco's, embrace. Because Draco would have waited for her, at that border to Tartarus, until the day she returned to him. Even if it took years, which I'm sure it did, he would have fought the ennui of the afterlife so that they could be together in death as they couldn't in life.
Alrighty, kind of leading off into my own spin-off fan fiction, I suppose, so time to wrap up. All in all, loved your characterizations, loved the story and premise, and looking forward to seeing what else you have to offer.

So, this was written quite a while back I see. I have no idea if I've ever reviewed it before, but my god, I am stunned beyond belief.

That was just beautiful. I can't quite put into more words than what other reviewers have already said to be honest. But everything about it was magical, the descriptions were so life like, it was as if I was there and the moment they fall in love with each other?! Just one of the best pieces of writing I think I have ever witnessed. My heart aches for them, and I'm glad it ended the way it did, it feels completely right for it to happen (no matter how hard I wished for it not to)

Thank you for this xx

This was jsut so amazing. I am so moved right now. Everything was incredible, your pacing, your charecterization. I hate when draco and ginny fall for each other so quickly. But even when you made them fall for each other in a matter of seconds...well, I couldn't imagine it any other way. This is incredible, I can not thank you enough

OMG That was so powerful and amazing. I hate how it had a sad ending but I understand how it couldn't have been happy so I'm not mad at you at all. Good job :)

The "This is love, this is love, this is love" makes me want to cry every time! This is my third time reading this, by the way. :)

I'm afraid I never stopped long enough to review this piece, but it is absolutely breath-taking. Your mastery of the written language, as evidenced in all your fics, is superb. It is always, always a pleasure to read what you write -- and this fic is no exception to the rule. I really hope you will keep writing and will continue to grace the DG world with your splendid fiction.

I've never been this moved by a single story. You've no idea how good you are! A story with a slight twist at the end. In all honesty I've come across this plot line before so I can't give you credit for that but character development is a given. Hope you carry on writing with as much success :P

Owww
It is breathtakingly beautiful. Heartbreaking as well. I have no words to describe the feeling I am experiencing right now. All I can do is just thank you for giving us this fic to read.

wow, i honestly loved it, but not in the fantasy way, like i have with most of the d/g fanfics. it seems more... real to me. I'm agnostic, but the idea of an underworld, instead of heaven and hell, seems totally plausible.

all in all, great read i loved it, keep writing

Oh my god. This story hurts my heart and soul, but in the most beautiful way, ever.

Amazing. I really don't know what else to say... It just stands on its own as... amazing.

Heart-wrenching, brutal, and utterly captivating... The images provoked by your poetic writing were simply stunning and poignantly haunting.

I was completely sucked in from the start. The delicate “O” of Malfoy’s lips in the beginning gave him a soft, almost angelic look – hinting that there was much more to his story than simply being an evil Death Eater. Pulling his body ashore, “desperate for company of any kind,” was a particularly heartbreaking image. It seemed there was more to their relationship, or why would she look at him in the ‘tones’ that she did. “Dead, he looks so young.” That was a simple sentence that actually spoke /volumes/ about who Draco Malfoy really was.

The way you describe the underworld painted such vibrantly drab images in my mind. My breath caught in my throat when I first realized that she was, in fact, going to turn around; I could feel the pain (from them both) practically radiating from my monitor.

Honestly, there have not been many stories on here (within this category of angst) that have moved me to the depths that this one has. I immediately thought of Red Hot and went in search of the author, so I could reference the story. I’d honestly forgotten you’d written it! So it fits that these two stories conjure similar feelings for me and leave me with the same breathless, heart-broken ache for our main characters.

Exceptionally well done!

How is it that I absolutely adore fluff and abhor agnst and yet this is one of my most favorite DG fics I have ever read?

It was beautiful. I could say a thousand things about the perfect characterization or the heartbreaking imagres or your amazing, elegant style of writing...but I'll spare you, and just tell you that this is beautiful in every sense of the word. Thank you for such a beautiful, beautiful story.

No no noo you did not do that!! *sigh* you did. I absolutely adore Greek mythology, and how they play with desire and love and greed and vulnerability, and love Orpheus and Eurydice and Echo and Narcissus the most, so I wanted to read this as SOON as I saw it. And I was reading. And reading. And by the middle I thought maybe you’d loosely based it upon the original myth, just so you could have them fall in love in the underworld, and then Draco would decide not to live. But noo he said yes. So then I thought you’d let them live.
The “trial”, if you will, with Persephone and Hades was awesome. I honestly don’t know how else to describe it. I love how the gods and goddesses are made human with their relationships and deeds, and I love how you incorporated every bit of that, as well as Ginny’s questioning and the falling in love bit were every ounce believable and not too sugary sweet as all :D And then the smut scene (although I hate to use that word in this case) so ok, when they made love; ohhh beautiful scene. Usually the writer botches it up by making Draco a sex fiend for his first time, abd you didn’t!! I’m happy. So anyways then you killed Draco. Again. Gosh that was a great fic. Melancholy and sadddd but I thought for the briefest moment that you were not going to kill him. It’s probably better that you didn’t change the myth too much, although if you did write some sort of alternate ending…my email…you could send it…:)
Thanks for adding such a beautiful story!

what a beautiful story. i love how you incorporated the greek myths. it's truly brilliant.
Name: Shenna reviewed Under on Aug 14, 2007 02:34 am
oh my god, this is so sad! when i first read that you were doing a fanfiction loosely based on O and E,I was like yes! I actually really liked that greek myth. So I start reading and I liked how you wrote, but the further in I got the less happy I was at first, because I prefer the idea that Hades and Persephone didn't love each other at first but grew into it. So i was a bit non-plussed at reading that the reason why they granted the couple's the chance to leave was because Persephone wished she could have married for love and cause Hades wished she would love him. That definitely grated, but I was hooked enough that i kept reading on. I also like how you explored the concept of falling in love within a short time period. The way you drew it out in the story made in very believable. So I've now fallen in love with Ginny and Draco as a couple when you had to go break my heart. That is one of the saddest endings I read in a while. Having Ginny not only save/kill Draco a second time as well as doom her family and friends to death as well. All in one evil fell swoop. *CRIES* Then to add injustice to indignity you stopped the story there!!! What were you thinking?!!?!? I am dying of curiosity now!!! What happens to her family/friends now? What does Draco think about it all? What happens to Ginny? Does she decide to stay there with his ghost forever after? Does Lucius imprison her there by slamming the door? Does she drink from the river Lethe? So many questions and different ideas pinging back and forth. Please if your not writing a sequel, which would be great if it answered those questions, could you write me back and let me know what you think would've happened most likely.....or tell me you won't make a sequel/no I have no clue what happened in which case i might have to take matters into my own hands and write in my own personal happy ending for them. You are really good though cause I haven't ever gotten this worked up about a fanfic before! Thanks for writing and here is my email addy if you could be so kind as to reply, Nightingale_san@yahoo.com

Thanks Shenna
