That is sssooo not right and you know it . You just have to write more to that story. You cant end it like that. I lllooovvvvveeddd that story!! Nnnnooo! Dont end it !!
Author's Response: Lyndsie Fenele wrote a companion piece to this if you're interested! Thanks for the review.
Tash! Finally, my long overdue review of this absolutely lovely piece. I read this a long time ago, like I told you, during a time in my life in which I was completely disconnected from D/G and had a sudden hunger for it. I wandered around the site until I came across this, and from the first few sentences I became totally hooked.
There is something very graceful about narrative in this story, and there are many instances of beautiful writing. This was a pleasure to read. I loved your characterization of Ginny and Draco and even Daphne. And I'm especially struck by how beautifully constructed Draco and Ginny's relationship has been.
I think this is my favorite line in this story:
He was drawn to her like a moth to a flame...a Draco to a Ginny.
Someone should make that into a tshirt!
The ending is of course, bittersweet, and I love that it's left open for the possibility of a future together, when all wounds heal. Or maybe not.
Beautiful story, Tash.
Author's Response: Ha - did you respond to this before you discovered you'd reviewed it on FFN? *snickers* I'd wear that t-shirt. Forum merchandise? ;)
This story is so amazing, and I absolutely adore it...please write more
so deliciously sad covered in chocolatey goodness. so beautiful :(
i loved this fic from the beggining
it felt wonderful to read
the scene in the kitchen was amazing
i was kinda sad they moved so quickly to the bedroom
and would like some chocolate body parts covering
;)
but it was truly grand
i wish you had done it to continue, not to end there
Draco should meet his child, should be with her
it would be grand
i like the bittersweet end, but prefer the overly sweet one
Can't you be kind enough to wirte and alternatie ending? (with Daphne and the child dying, of ourse)
or atleast a cookie with them being together?
=)
this was amazing!
Really, i love the fics where one of them can cook (and it's not only because i go to gastronomy college)
;)
kisses
Interesting. Very well-written. I'm not one for bittersweet endings, however. I like happy endings. I won't ask for a sequel, though, because I can tell that you've finished with this story.
I knew from the time you wrote, "your favorite" that it was based on chocolat!
great story, very VERY good! i wish more authors wrote like you!
Author's Response: Thank you. (:rnrn
that was adorable... it made my day!
Great! It's slightly bittersweet, though. What about a sequel?
Author's Response: Lyndsie Fenele, wrote a sort of sequel to it...you should check it out :)
Wow! I loved the whole thing! Its not like some one-shots where there is exciting, sad,or shocking parts at the end. This was absoultly all of it throughout the whole one-shot. I really loved the way you charcterized Ginny its new and refreshing. kudos for you and I mean big ones!!!

I love this line,"Three months after her husband had been unfaithful to her with his soul mate..." It makes something wrong right. Sad ending, but in my mind, I like to thing that Draco found her and they lived happily ever after. Also, I like how right after you mentioned Daphne's and her child's death, you mentioned Ginny and her pregnancy. Like, every death is reaplaced with a birth. Thanks for a lovely fic.
Author's Response: Yes, I wanted throughout this fic to make people understand Draco did love Daphne, was devoted to her in everyway - but nothing prepares you for the meeting of your soulmate.
Wow, never have I been so compelled to leavea review. but your story was amazing! I have never read a story D/G or other that elicited such a response in myself and suffice to say I will be renting Chocolat post haste. The only bit of criticism I have is that this is a one-shot. Though it is perfectly finished, the conclusion is a swirl of completenes that begs for more (an oxymoron yes but I can't think of a better description) I have never been an advocate of the 'less is more' saying. More is really more and every part of me wants to make this my new favorite fic to check for updates I can't, so that's my criticism, lame and whiney, but there you are. Just as the title states one taste was not enough and if you have or will be writing longer stories I would love to read them. No one else has written a Ginny with the passion and wisdom of yours or a Draco so innocent, dark, and a little fluffy without straying to far into the Mary Sue catagory as yours are here. So thanks I guess for dangling this beautiful albeit lng oneshot in front of us who crave great writing like yours in novel length form, you tease!
Author's Response: Heh. Wow; what a gorgeous review. =]] I'm sorry it finished too suddenly for you. . .but yep, you're right, as the title states one taste is not enough, and that's the feeling I wanted to readers to have at the end of this. I have a fair few fics that I'm slowly, but surely, posting up on here. The ones that're "novel length" and that I'm currently working on, are "The Raging Quiet" and "Painting Her Portrait". They should be here soon - keep on the look-out! =]]
I really wanted this one to keep going. The plot line progressed exquisitely. It seemed to flow naturally. It didn't have lot of "down" time in it, so it kept it interesting. Although I would like it to continue.
It was good, but kind of sad.....
loved it! sad ending, but a great read!
I really really liked this story. I loved the characters and their personalities. And I really loved all of the chocolate descriptions and have the sudden desire to find a small chocolate shop somewhere.
But I think I wished I would've just stopped reading before the last paragraph. Or that I just knew what would happen with their baby and to Draco and Ginny themselves.
I adore this to be honest. I read it and then a few hours later I had to come back and read it again.
Author's Response: Aww, thank you. Your review just made me smile =]] c
amazing. well done. i loved it!! congrats
This is an absolutely beautiful story! I nearly shed a tear at the end. And I love your writing style. Maybe I should go watch Chocolat sometime....
wow! brilliant. i could tell it had been influenced by chocolat, but it was different and very good! great job! =)
I loved it! I think you should write a sequel.
Good, kinda sad ending, kinda wanted Draco to find her and the baby... But I understand. Very good... Makes me want chocolate.
