Tears are rolling down my cheeks as I write this. This was a beautifully written story. My prayers go out to you and Danielle Elizabeth's family. Thank you for writing a story that touched and helped so many.

Heart-wrenching. I'm crying right now; this is a very touching story. When I read Katherine's second wish, I could feel my heart shattering. For a young life full of promise to be cut short is unbearably upsetting. No parent should ever have to bury their child. I thank you for posting such a moving story. I know that it must have been difficult to do so. My thoughts are with Danielle Elizabeth and her family and to all who have been in such a situation.

this is such a beautiful story, and thank you so much for posting it. It must have been extremely difficult :(. My prayers are with Danielle Elizabeth's family, and her in heaven, and you as well, and trust me I'm practically Atheist.
I nearly lost my little cousin last month, and lost another two years ago, and they barely diagnosed the both of them. My cousin who passed wasn't supposed to live to see 5, but she lit up our lives to the age of 11! So I've seen what this situation does to everyone, and thank you so much for having the strength to post this up. It was really heartfelt.

sorry if this is a little incoherent but I am crying right now.....this is a beautifully written story, sad as hell, but well that can't be helped. The only thing I can think of is to enjoy each day and all it offers and share a little of your happiness and joy with all the ones who've gone before and aren't here to enjoy living life.

I have tears running down my face right now. When I was ten, my very best friend passed away from some disease that was incredibly rare and had no known treatments, let alone cures. He wasn't supposed to live past age 5, and he made it to 3 weeks shy of his 11th birthday. This story brings out a lot of emotions from almost 12 years ago - excellent story. Beautiful.

My brother had Lymphoma when he was ten and my parents would know how Danielle's parents would feel. My brother is okay now since the past 5 years ,but my parents would never talk about it.
But anyway I felt the story and I think a lot of people could relate to it.
