"I must have miscounted" lmao. Did you get the plot bunny from somewhere? I could've sworn I saw a movie like this...but with guys...I think... Regardless, I'm looking forward to it. I can't tell if it's going to be a showdown between Ginny and Hermione or Ginny and Pansy. Any way you do it, it'll be great. Prophetic Purple Platypus, indeed.

Yes, you're right, the plotbunny came from Tomcats (I have an eensy weensy crush on Jerry O'Connell lol) and I forgot to mention it when I wrote the story notes. Ooops ;) Anyway, I'm glad you like so far :D You'll definitely know who the showdown is between after reading chapter 2.

Oh My GOD! This is so funny. I was literaly ROLLING on the ground I was laughing so hard. 'I must have miscounted'. That whole conversation was an amazingly funny bit of dialogue. I cannot WAIT for the next chapter. Please put it out soon if you can. :)
Author's Response: Hee! Pansy is a pill, isn't she? It's too bad we didn't get to know the real Pansy in the books. I love to write dialogue so it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when someone tells me they enjoy that specifically :D If the forces of the universe quit fighting against me, perhaps the next chapter will be out sooner than later. *crosses fingers*

Author's Response: I... uh... don't know exactly how 'original' it is since I did take the plot idea from a movie, but I hope the way I chose to write it comes across as original in some way. Sometimes that's difficult in the world of fanfiction ;) Glad you've enjoyed so far though!

I love this premise! You really are the best! I can't wait for this story to unfold, as each woman has her advantages. Ginny could win because of sheer bullheadedness; Hermione may think her way to the top; Pansy is one crafty witch who'd get her way no matter what; and Millicent has the natural advantage of course! But all in all, Luna is in a league of her own, so my bet is on her!

Author's Response: Hee! The premise isn't completely mine - I've sort of stolen it (see chapter 2 author's notes) and I thought about stretching out the race, but that would limit Draco's involvement in the story and we just can't have that, can we? ;) I hope you continue to enjoy it!

What a great start! What a great idea and I fully approve of using canon as you see fit - can you make TOnks and Lupin be alive too please? Maybe they (and Colin) were all under the same curse that they thought they were dead for 3 hours. :)
Author's Response: I always worry just a bit that there are some who get very wrapped up in canoninity (yup I totally invented that :P) of stories and have gotten reviews pointing out the smallest of details that aren't totally compliant so I figured at least pointing it out will let people know that I am aware that I've fudged a bit on those little details. If I find a use for Tonks and Lupin in all this, I will insert them - in my mind they are all alive and well in any case. :D
