Reviews For Les Dragons Blancs

I'm awfully awful at keeping my promises to come back to read fics. I said I would re-read this months and months ago, and then I got busy, and then I just forgot all about it, and I do apologise for that. But then I got the update today and it reminded me of the brilliance of this fic and how much I loved it, so here I am reading it again.

This is such a great beginning to a story! I've read many (and actually written) fanfics where Ginny sees visions of Draco, but you managed to make this stand out from all of those. I know how good this fic gets as well, which makes me very excited to read more. Unfortunately, I don't have time to keep reading right now, but I will most definitely be back to review more!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked it enough to read it twice :D

I was so happy to see that you updated, and spent the day re-reading the previous chaps, and your fic is just as amazing if not more so than I remembered. I love the development of Draco and Gin's relationship, as well as all you wonderful secondary original characters; they have such wonderful personality and depth! Can't wait to see where it goes from here, as many of Ginny's visions from the first few chaps have yet to come to light...and I hope *crosses fingers* that you'll be able to update again soon!

Author's Response: Thank you! It makes me positively gleeful that someone out there takes as much pleasure from reading the story as I do writing it :D

Never meant to harass (well, maybe a little), but you must understand that I'm am addict and your writing is my drug.

Sometimes I think we forget that you writers have a life outside this... I'm sorry, I didn't want so sound "demanding"

Author's Response: No, it's cool, really! Someties I need a kick in the butt, and it's always great to know that at least one person out there is waiting for more ;) And trust me - you're more polite than some.

I was re-reading this one again and was wondering when you would update it....
It's very bad of you to leave the story at that point, you know. Best way to make up for it would be updating ;)
Hugs

Author's Response: I know, I know! I fail. But I went back to school this smester (it's been 2 years!) and with that on top of everything else, I'm doing all my little brain can handle with out imploding. I promise I've been working on it, even if it's just a little bit at a time. Thanks for the harrassment :D

I agree - your pacing is absolutely amazing. I often get lost in the midst of the action descriptions in these kind of stories, and I go all cross-eyed and have to scroll back up and re-read just to understand what's going on, but I haven't done that a single time reading this story, which is (yeah, I'm aware I'm repeating myself) absolutely amazing. +1 apple pie point! :)

Your characters are also very well fleshed-out. Some stories have the habit of whipping out OCs only when they're needed, and give Draco and Ginny all of the spotlight. Not that I'm saying I don't like it when they get their share - we're on a DG fanfic site for a reason ;) - but you gave them a really good background *and* balance. Your OCs are much more than paper cut-outs. You've also got your characterization down pat. +2 apple pie points to that.

AND your plot. Oh, your plot. Do not even get me started. (Too late.) I've read a couple of Ginny-is-a-Seer stories before, but I can honestly say that I haven't read any which makes use of that quite the way you do. You also proceed from one point of the storyline to another in a very progressive manner, and it's all very realistic. +one bag of jelly bean points, because I've run out of apple pies. ;P

I hope I've given you enough incentive to update quite soon, because I'm literally at the edge of my seat here. :)

Author's Response: *beams* Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments! Lol, though, now you know why I take forever to update. I'm having way too much fun with my OCs, I think, and I'm a total plot-aholic. I may even start a support group. Many thanks for the apple pies, and the jelly beans, and the kick-ass review. There are a couple of other things I want/need to finish first, but LDB is right at the top of my To Do list :D

I was checking if I had left a review before and saw that I had promised you some cookies. You definitely deserve them so let me know how can I send them ;)

Anyway, I'm from Compostela (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santiago_de_Compostela) and you're invited to come get your cokies whenever you want (and stay here, of course) ;)

Author's Response: Lol, thanks! Cookies are always appreciated, and then consumed with alarming rapidity.

OMG! I love this story and I can't believe I missed the last update! Imagine my surprise when I wanted to re-read this story and find that there was a new chapter dated from TWO months ago: I was ecstatic!
Love it as always. Hope you update as soon as possible!

Author's Response: Thank you :D I'm already working on the next installment! Yum, cookies...

I just got introduced to your story. Love the pace of the story. I find that many of these type of stories are too quick or too fast. Ginny and Draco are well developed. As well as most of the main secondary people. I am looking forward to more of this story. Thanks

Author's Response: Thank you :) I'm so glad you're enjoying it!

aah so i just read this entire story in one sitting. i couldn't stop. i love love love the characterization of draco. and the animosity between adrienne and ginny. and of course the draco/ginny relationship. i love how it's progressed and now they're all banter-y. absolutely wonderful writing. i eagerly and anxiously await the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you soooo much XD !!

I really, really love this story. The premise of Ginny being a Seer isn't one I've really come across before, and definitely not a central theme to the story. I really enjoy all the characterizations as well. The only critique I can offer is that some sections seem to "tell" rather than show, but I understand some of that is due to length limitations. Fleshing out some of the transitions might help with that. Otherwise, great story! I can't wait for an update!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review, an the critiques! Every little bit helps, and I'll keep your thoughts in mind :D

OH! I Love this fic! I was reading it over at Portkey, but I'll probably continue to read it here. I'm going to re-read and review all the chapters when I get time so that I can refresh my memory what's been happening. Sadly, for now I must do my work, but you can expect to see some reviews from me soon! ^_^

Author's Response: Wow, thanks! I hope your work goes swiftly so you can get to the fun stuff ;)

I'm dying here for an update, please, please, please. there'll be cookies for you if you update soon.

Author's Response: As much as I'm dying for some cookies, my computer is very, very broken (*tear) so I can't really say how soon I'll be able to update. Hang in there, darl! It's not been abandoned :)

Listen, I love you and I love the story. I do, I promise. But I need updates, and if I don't get them, I'm gonna snap. Please update before I go mad!

Author's Response: lol, I promise I've been hard at work on the next chapter, but these past couple of weeks have been overwhelmingly hectic and, sadly, I've been having a difficult time finding more than ten or fifteen minutes at a stretch to work on any of my stories. Add to that the fact that my computer was out of commission for nearly two whole weeks and well... you get the point. I promise it won't be much longer! Please don't snap!

uuuh, I sincerely hope that it was a very charming male distraction...then you would be completely justified... and you're welcome, I promise that I will harass you as often as I can!

Author's Response: He is by far the single most charming male distraction I have ever encountered ;)

buuuaaargh, no updates!! we hate Maine! Maine is evil! come back to us!! I could even accept a whining Draco at the moment...

Author's Response: LOL, I'm back, but I was a bit, er... distracted while I was up there. I promise I'm working on it though! Thanks for the harrassment :D There will be no whining Draco!

I think you have created enough tension: there is no need to tease us more... that almost-kiss...

I have never read a vulnerable Draco so into character. Draco is a very difficult character to portray and that's why in so many fics he's OOC. Congrats, you overcame that.

Amazing writing. Update as soon as possible, please

Author's Response: *blushes* Thank you! I tried really hard not to make him into some whiny, school-boy bitch ;) That bugs me too. Hopefully it won't be too long before I update again!

Maine's not really that good! I think you should stay at home and continue writing the story. :D It's really good, I stayed up after I got home from working till 2 am to read it.

Author's Response: Wow, thanks! I promise I'll be working on it while I'm there, though :D I'm glad you like it so much!
Name: burningdaylight reviewed 1. Oh For Crying Out Loud on Jul 19, 2008 12:48 am
ehy!!! aaargh, almost kiss!!!! I hate adrienne at the moment...and I think, altough the poor draco is completely clueless (but he's a man after all, what do you expect??) thatadrienne is interested in him romantically, soshe probably hates ginny now even more than before...
I liked the part in which he asks himself if he's like his father... very touching... it's good that he's wondering if he's loosing his humanity, it means that he still has a lot of it!
I hope your week in Maine goes well and that you will be able to write something (stephen king claims that Maine always inspired him, I hope it's the same for you!)... oh, and btw...Procustes is one of Theseus' enemies, not a very nice fellow...he used to do wicked things to his "guests" with a not very comfortable bed...(ah, I knew that all the hours spent translating greek in high school would have paid off in the end... where are mi cookies, now?? chocolate chips, please!!)

Author's Response: Cookies! Fresh out of the oven! Don't you just love how unabashedly violent the old myths are?

I adore Adrienne, but I'm not going to spoil it for you! You'll have to wait to learn what her malfunction is. I tried really hard to keep Draco in character for that scene. It's really easy to turn him into this whining, woe-is-me type when he's dealing with his daddy issues, and I hate that with a firey passion. I wanted him to be angry and bitter; I hope that came across well enough.

I hope Maine jump-starts my inspiration, too! It's very peaceful there, so I'm hoping to get a lot done. I'll try to have something exciting for you to read when I return! Cheers :)

Ahhh man! They were about to kiss! Granted, Adrienne had a good excuse to interrupt them, but it still upsets me because they were gonna have their first kiss. And you know it would've been mindblowing.
But I sincerely hope that Luc's alright. Somehow I don't think that that's going to be the case, but I'm going to be optimistic.

Author's Response: UST is fun to write *grins devillishly* They'll get their kiss soon enough!
