Voldemort was a little un-exciting... can't imagine he'd waste one of his best follwers on a teenage boy of no apparent value. Other than that, I miss Draco's PoV and kudos on getting through Ginny and Draco looking at each twice without mentioning any variation of "silver orbs met brown..." Waiting for the next chapter :)

Author's Response: Voldemort wants to get Draco because he's a tad obsessed with punishing him. And he also ordered Snape to be a spy again, so of course he's not being wasted. Can you tell I wrote this when I used to hate Bellatrix? Now she's one of my favourites, and I wouldn't write her quite so pathetic. LOL people referring to eyes as 'orbs' is kind of scary, isn't it? Thanks for the review!

nah, evil Snape won't put me off. It
ll definitely be a change from what I normally read. But change isn't always bad. In fact, when it comes to reading fanfic... a little change is good. Keeps me thinking about things instead of keeping me in my little rut where I only read good!Snape fics and such. I'm definitely going to keep reading... I quite like where the story is going so far. Good luck with the writing :)

Author's Response: Well, that's good! I know what you mean about reading strange things, because I personally got so bored reading my normal ships that I went a read all the rarepairs… even the creepy ones. >.<

Hmmm. That's an interesting way to look at Snape I suppose. I'm generally a huge Snape fan, so I can't say I agree with the way you're portraying him, but I won't object either. It's an interesting take on things. I can't wait until they get that letter though. That will make for an entertaining (for me) meeting.

Author's Response: Well, this was written pre-DH, and it's better for the story for him to be evil. Thanks for the review, and I hope evil!Snape doesn't put you off too much!

Good start, your Draco is very IC and I loved that little speech of his - it just summed up the essence of his role in HBP do nicely.

Can't wait to read more of it!

Author's Response: Next chapter's in queue. I'm glad you liked it!

I'm really enjoying it so far, I actually really like the first person Draco's POV narration. Mostly because it allows Harry to be a mystery to me in a way that he isn't in the books, because we're always in his head. I like the angsty Draco speech on loyalty, so few other authors pay attention to the fact that Draco would have been raised to beieve that Voldemort was 'right' the same way Harry views Dumbledore, and how hard to make the leap to 'good' would be for him. I like the turmoil, he seems genuinely confused, not made an angel with a sudden epiphany, but dealing with the young adult problem of being who you are as opposed to what you've been told to be. Can't wait to see what happens when he opens the door!

Author's Response: Personally, I can't stand Harry, so anything that isn't from his PoV is always a relief. ^_~ Anyone, I think, would have ended up like Draco is raised in that environment, which is why he shouldn't be considered 'evil', because he definitely isn't. Thanks for the review, and I hope you stick around for the next chapters! Chapters up to twelve are written, so they'll be up frequently. Thanks for the great review!
