Yikes Draco and Ginny didn't get off to a good start did they? I hope during their next encounter they get to actually speak to each other.
Author's Response: Oh, they'll talk in their next encounter, but I don't think it'll help much.
"She's tolerable, but not nearly pretty enough to tempt me." Oh how I adore Mr Darcy.. with Draco, perfect combination!
Author's Response: Thank you! I really wanted to include the, "Any savage can dance" line somewhere but I couldn't seem to find a place to put it. I love when Darcy says that line. It's so demonstrative of his character.
Long live Long-haired!Draco....huzza!! I will now sing: yes, brace yourself.
Dedicated to you, my dear GoldenFawkes:
Gimme a head with hair!
Long beautiful hair!
shining gleaming streaming
flaxen waxen! My hair as Jesus wore it!
Hallellujah, I adore!Hair, hair, hair, hair,hair!
Flow it! Show it!
Long as God can grow it,
my HAAAAIIIIRRRR!!!!;P
Author's Response: You totally crack me up, Rowan. I'll submit to semi-long-but-mostly-short hair, but long? NEVER!
;P
Author's Response: Short hair! Short hair! ;)
i like this :) keep writing
Author's Response: Yes Ma'am. :)
Great idea!! I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with it. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm going to try to stay pretty close to the original plot (which is one reason why it's in the, "not naughty" column). Thanks for reading!
I am continuing to like this a lot... Keep it up! :)
Author's Response: Will do, VickyVic! Thanks for reading!
I'm loving this! Pride and Prejudice is amazing, I'm really eager to see the unfolding of your story :)
Author's Response: P&P is definitely Jane Austen's best book and it's an all-time favorite in my family. I've seen the BBC production SO many times and read it even more times. I'm hoping I can do it justice here!
It's been a while since I read the book, but this may have me going back to it. Great start. Stubborn Ginny... I'm looking forward to the party and Ginny and Draco meeting.
Author's Response: It's always great to go back and read Austen again. Except if you're gonna go and compare me to her, because there's no comparison. :) Thanks for your review.
As a Prdie and Prejudice fanatic,
I think I'll like where this is headed (:
Author's Response: DracoGinny is perfect for Pride and Prejudice, though it did occur to me at one point in writing this that BlaiseGinny would work a LOT better (his gold-digger mom as Lady Catherine? Come on!). But I'm a DG-shipper through and through, so that ain't happening. Thanks for your review!
i likey! cant wait for the next chapters to come =)
Author's Response: Thanks for your review!
Oh, this sounds good... I'd like to see more. :)
Oh, and I recognized: “You want to tell me, and I have no objection to hearing it,” - it was Mr. Bennet in the book. :)
Author's Response: You got it. More coming up... Thanks for your review!
Hmm...does this mean you plan on finishing this fic? I'm keeping my fingers crossed...;p
Author's Response: lol Rowan. Yes, I am hoping to finish it! Some revamping was necessary because I haven't worked on it since HBP came out, which made a couple changes necessary... Thanks for the review!
Mr. Bennet:“You want to tell me, and I have no objection to hearing it,”
That was invitation enough."
I really enjoyed reading the 1st chapter of your story. Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books and I am excited to see how you compared it to Ginny and Draco!
Author's Response: Righto! Very nice. Thanks for your review.
I love Pride and Prejudice! I wonder how you'll interpret that using D/G. So far, I love the first chapter! can't wait for the next!
Author's Response: Thank you for reading!
Hey there! nice to see some quality work.I really loved your style. The characterisations were so believable and true to the book. i guess Malfoy won't ever really let go of his prejudices, will he? :P but yeah great job. This has most certainly caught my attention. The first chapter of any story determines whether the fic will work or not but in your case i am happy to say that it will. your writing is flawless. and i will look out for updates definitely,i hope you update fast. this story ain't gonna be naughty at all ??? :( now dats a bummer!
p.s : it seemed a bit odd that Ginny and Luna would be friends with someone so ditzy like Lavender and Parvati. but i guess it works for the story..and what is Ginny's occupation in this story? she doesn't seem to be a Quidditch player in your story.some cushy Ministry job eh??? anyway, keep it up and plz update soon! :)
Author's Response: Will Malfoy change his prejudices... Well, if you've read Pride & Prej. then you have an idea of where I'm headed. :) I'm no good at naughtiness! I've never written it before. Maybe I'll have someone write it for me? Lav and Parvati are the two ditzy Bennet sisters from Pride and Prejudice, while Luna and Ginny are the two smart ones. I needed them to be flighty ditzes. You'll find out what Ginny's occupation is soon and, while it fits with the plot nicely, I actually originally chose it only to show that Ginny is a smart, strong woman. Thanks for the review!
wow a good 1st chap!!pride nd prejudice is among d very 1st books i had read!!a gr8 classic!!well its been quite long tat i have read P&P so let me take a wild guess at recognising its lines...umm rich as a queen??umm just a guess!!do tell me d right lines though!!:)must say its a differnt take on d prejudiced storyline!!would love 2 see how u take it along!!gud work:)
Author's Response: Nope, not "rich as the Queen." :) My plan is to stay true to the spirit of P&P, but I'm following a few interpretation and have taken some artistic license. Thanks for the review!
