This fic is really wonderfully written.

Though it's not the usual happy ending I do understand what Draco is feeling and why he chose that path in the end.

I honestky can't imagine giving up the luxuries in life even if i loved a person so much. I wouod think that giving it all up, would make me resent the other person in the end?

Am i making sense? And if i am, does that make me a bad person? Lol.

But anyway! Really nicely written. I tried going to you lj page but its only for regustered users so i wasnt able to find the companion fic. J hope you could post it here.

Thanks!:)

I would absolutely love to read the companion pieces. Is there any place I could find them on the web?

You should post the companion pieces to this. This one of my favorite fics and I'd love to read the rest...

of all takes of the ending given to us in Canon, this is my favourite.

I liked this a lot; it was really well-written. The shipper in me is sad, but for the circumstances, Draco's decision makes sense, and you give him such a clear and thoughtful voice. The secondary characters are done wonderfully as well, even though they only pop up for a little bit. I'd love to read the companion pieces.

Oh that's too sad! Of course I wish they had stayed together, but if this ship had been canon, this probably would have been the way it ended. :( Very beautifully written.

this really well done. i loved Andromeda and the way things are rationalized. it's a different kind of unhappy ending b/c unlike most of these i read it seemed to be much more realistic and it made more sense considering the character that all of us draco/ginny shippers want draco to be(i.e. someone who is not a coward). i liked it alot. can't wait to see the other installments! =]

I really enjoyed this take on the failing of a young D/G relationship, very original. I think my favorite part was Andromeda's line, "for those of us who were made for more, love is not always enough". It was great how Draco mirrored the line later with more certitude, but strangely when he thinks it it sounds very unconvincing. I'm very curious about what he said when he broke if off with Ginny, she wouldn't have put much stock in that argument, I'm sure. Anyhoo, great read :)

Very true to Draco and Malfoy characterisation -- although I of course hate the choice he made, you made it so that I completely understood the logic and "rightness" of it, given who Draco is. Well done.

Would love to see the companion pieces.

Well done...written with a level of maturity that transcends the usual "angst" piece.

This was a great story but it broke my heart that he ended things with Ginny. I loved the interaction between Draco and his Aunt Andromeda. I knew he'd realize he loved Ginny once he let her go. I'd love to read more. Thank you for sharing.

wow...just....wow.

that was beautifully depressingly amazing! It was so honest that i could feel my little heart twinge with the parting line. It was lovely. I don't know what else to say, my heads in a jumble!

wow. as much as i strictly read fiction for leisure, which means they're mostly 'romantic' or ideal, i love the way this was written. it appeals to my realistic side. it usually makes me sad how in reality, love is not always enough (andromeda). though draco was really lucky with his wife, he does not wallow or angst. he still loves ginny, he wonders what-if, but he knows where he is. he decided on what he can live with, he lives with it, and he's okay.

it actually made me feel good. i don't know, maybe because even if you can't have everything, life can be not too bad. and oh, i LOVE the last line. from when andromeda said it and as it was made the very point of the story (even if it's not true for everyone). it could be meant for someone like draco. :) good job!

You've written it in a great way that makes me understand Draco's decision (and maybe approve of it, slightly). It's very realistic, and very well written. :)
