As long as Astoria had the same loose morals (I try to convince myself), I think I can accept Draco's character.
Author's Response: Well, there's always more to a marriage than morals, isn't there? Feelings for instance. Some of them selfish and some hurt.

My interest is more than sufficiently piqued. :D I do love a good old mystery story, and I love the dark, weary tone of this one - it's got this underlying atmosphere of urgency.
I like how you portray Ginny, especially how she thinks of Draco's position with regards to the murder - she'll be Gryffindorish and will do the right thing and be unbiased, but all the same she hopes that Draco's innocent. I like how you detailed Draco and Astoria's courtship, and their early marriage.
For the fun of it, I'm going to hazard a guess at Astoria's lover - right now, I'm leaning towards the possibility of it being Pansy. Seriously, I read the letter, realized something, reread it, and was like, "OH, it's *Pansy*!" :P Of course, I might be wrong, but it's always fun to guesstimate.
I shall be looking forward to the next chapter. :]

Omg! Brilliant! I've never read something like this before, so PLEASE UPDATE! The curiosity is killing =( My bets are on the Zabinis - Blaise seems too indifferent, and Pansy seems a bit jealous of Astoria.

I really like this, it's very suspenseful! At this point in time I don't even have the slightest inkling of who the actual murderer could be... Pansy would be too... obvious!
