Reviews For Hit and Run

Yeah, this bunny totally had fangs. Big ones. I always hate the dark, angsty stories; obviously, however, I still read them. Maybe because, in some way, they are the most real. I don't know. Still hate them. Despite my prejudice, this was a good one; missing my HEA, and some needed apostrophes in 'its', but good.

I really like this, and I'm a big fan of angst. Your narrating parts were completely fine, but you need to work a bit on the dialogue to make it less of a run-on.
Thank you for providing a fic with a nice story that is well written; it was exactly what I was looking for.

Nice work. I half expected Ginny to kill herself at the very end.

This was pretty amazing. Such a different view of events! I hope that you can continue this? Maybe we could see what happens to Ginny after this? Does she go after Voldermort? so many questions......

This was a rather lovely short story. I could actually see Ginny as the assassin. Some people tend to fixate on the old Ginny, who was quiet and shy Ginny. Then there is the Ginny that some choose to forget: the self-righteous, dogmatic, pontificating redhead. I can very much see her blindly following the Order's 'orders', even if it meant killing her own brother for the greater good. She sees things in either black or white. Yet, I can also see her being seized with irrevocable guilt afterwards. She is an impulsive girl, in my mind, and impulsiveness leads to regret. I think you did a nice combination of past, present, and future world.

As for Draco, I really like the fact that you made him actually want to serve the Dark Lord. He is, obviously, someone who can see the shades or the grey in life. He is also worn, broken, maybe even defeated. He is somewhat of a shell of the boy he once was. His plight gives us pause to pity him for he is the instrument of his own downfall, in a literal and metaphorical sense. He both plays and is played upon. He is lost. It’s very touching.

While others may have been shocked at the ending, I saw it coming since the beginning of your story -- Draco wanted a 'break', an escape. Besides, it was the only fitting way to it, nay?

Well done. I’m glad you posted this plot bunny. ^^

Brilliant idea. I've never read a fanfic in which the war had taken this turn. Great work.
Very unexpected ending!

:(!!! Noooo (that was for the dead Draco). Great 'evil fanged plot bunny' story though. Very very dramatic :)

Oh my goodness. I wasn't expecting that at all. It's a brilliant story. There isn't a line that is out of place or that should be changed; it's perfect. I love the way it conveys the link that existed between Draco and Ginny without ever putting a label on it (when Ginny felt comfortable holding Draco in Myrtle's bathroom and he also calmed).

The last few moments is my favourite part of the story, closely followed by the end of the bathroom scene. I am in awe of how well you convey so many emotions with a few gestures and words (Draco gently grazing his hand against Ginny's jaw, almost reverently says so much about his feelings and hers).

I'll definitely be back for many re-reads of this story in future. It's also being added to my faves list. :) I look forward to reading more of your stories.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so happy so much got conveyed. Thank you again for being such a thorough reviewer. Its reviews like yours that really push people to continue writing. :)

That was not a nice ending at all, but the whole plot was genius.

Author's Response: Haha. I have yet to master nice endings, unfortunately. Thank you for the review!

Oh my God! I have no words really. Brilliantly done. I had a completely different picture of what this story would be when I read the summary. It was so full of twists and turns, kept the reader guessing till the end. I knew the ending would be something unexpected, infact, I thought that probably Ginny might die ,but Draco.... Well, tragic D/G is as beautiful as a happy D/G but still, it does break my heart to see Draco die in a fic :(
All in all, great work. Keep it up :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much!

Interesting story! The biggest point I want to make is the line "The lifeless form of Draco fell onto the floor." I think you're trying to build suspense by delaying his name, but it just sounds awkward. Going for something like "The body hit the floor. His face was peaceful..." would be easier to read, and also give suspense. Overall, though, good stuff. :)

Author's Response: I read that sentence over and over after you pointed it out, and it does sound a bit awkward. I've been rolling it in head trying to reword it. Thank you for the constructive criticism. Its really, genuinely helpful.

wow this was incredibly dark. i saw the rating and thought for a moment that it was going to be a smutty-hate-sex fic, but i really liked the path that you took with this one too. THe ending was incredibly sad, but I was prepared. I just wonder what happened to Ginny afterwards, if she continued on assassinating people or if she tried to start overe. good job!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad it left you curious at the end. I figure short stories are supposed to leave questions. :)

omg, ur so evil! i thought he actually murdered ginny, but draco sacrificed himself! :( nice story. i spose at least him kissing her will suffice my D/G appetite for this story...ahhh!!!

Author's Response: :) Im glad the twist worked! Thank you!

that bunny was very evil...

i was hoping, there was this very small hope in my heart, that ginny and draco would decide to leave the business together and be madly in love, but i knew that wasn't going to happen but other than that I liked this fic, it was like a darker mr. and mrs. smith

Author's Response: I know. I like happy endings, but it just didn't feel right for this bit of prose. Thank you for the kind words.
