I'm starting to feel more and more convinced about my theory :D To me it's obvious that Draco knows a lot of things Ginny doesn't, also regarding their relationship.. I really think she went back in time, polyjuiced into Marie, and eventually told him the truth.. And know he's making sure he'll get her in the future as well 'cause he luuuuuuuvs her :D

First, sitting around in wet clothes is the absolute WORST I don't know how he could sit in a couch for so long being wet. I'd die!

Second, I would like to present my complete disbelief in the "explanation" Draco gives Ginny. My analysis starts here: “Did you have to go very far?” she asked.

His smile twisted slightly. The dimples slid back even further. “Yes. I did. And I did get soaked, didn’t I?” He ran a hand through his blond hair, the shade a little darker now from rainwater. He filled her glass."

How far, exactly, has Draco been? The past? Hell? I'm thinking someplace like that, which would add to the depth and double meanings you've always got going on in your stories.

Next:
“They followed us,” whispered Ginny.
“Very good,” said Draco. “Full marks, Miss Weasley.”
“But how? I didn’t see them coming behind; they couldn’t have possibly tracked our Apparition traces.”
Draco looked away from her. The last bit of the smile disappeared. Ginny’s heart sank.
“Through the Imperius test link,” she said.
He nodded." He looks away, which makes me think he's lying and he just goes with the idea that Ginny presents him--the imperious link. I don't think Harry, Hermione, and the aurors were there at all--aren't they lost in the middle of Gringrotts? How could they possibly make it to Lyme Bay so quickly? He definitely had to deal with Lucius, and if he was out there the whole time leading Potter on a wild goose chase, why would he come back smelling of alcohol?

And lastly, I am so looking forward to the next chapter! Draco is such a calculated actor, it's unbelievable. And now I'm glad because Ginny is joining in on the game, which I'm sure will shake Draco quite a bit. Thanks so much for the update!!

Author's Response: Thank you for the wonderful review! :) Yep, sitting around in wet clothes is pretty awful, but in the interests of sheer deviousness, Draco will do it. ;) And very good analysis of disbelief in the explanation. To clear it up a little bit, Harry & co. really WERE there, BUT... there's a whole lot more to the story than that, as you've correctly guessed. Draco will be shaken and stirred in the next chapter, and I think Ginny's going to at least try to chomp him up in little bites... ;)

Ginny is such a joy to read. She's so neurotic and paranoid and somehow, super-randy. It's hilarious. I have no guesses or predictions at this time :(. Exams make thinking brain go ow...

Oh yay! Another chapter! Well, he obviously didn't tell her the whole truth (I led them to apparition point and fell??) but I suppose he also didn't tell a complete lie. Did he kill someone and threw them the corpse to keep them busy?
Also I noticed that we have Ginny in her dream or watever that was (the first time she was at the cottege) soaking wet and Draco telling her she should remove her closes because she's cold and here we have a reverse situation with Draco wet and Ginny suggesting he emoved his closes for same reason. Did you do it on purpose? And the searching look Draco keeps giving her in this and other chapters - it's really intriguing. What's he searching for? Is he waiting for her to figure something out on her own? Thank you thank you again!

I was hoping somebody would pick up on the wet-clothes parallels. :) And you're right; Draco didn't tell Ginny the complete truth, but no, he didn't completely lie to her either. He's giving her a searching look for a reason, but it's not exactly because he's waiting for her to figure something out. We will find out why in the next chapter!

So very glad you are safe! I live on the plateau and we didn't get near the rain y'all did. I have family that lives in Nashville, and they ended up with several inches of water on their ground floor.

Anise. Marie better be Ginny or I'll have to poke her little digital eyes out. The only one Draco's allowed to be that possessive over is Ginny herself. Grr.
Orrrrr, (this theory is striking me now), maybe Lucius drugged Draco with some uber form of Amortentia to make him forget Ginny, and fixate instead on Marie.
Wait! I just had a horrible theory flash! Is that really Draco entering the cabin? He's making Ginny uneasy. Maybe he's Lucius in disguise, and his Malfoy blood is allowing him to enter the cottage. However, I would like to think that Draco's wards are tougher than that.
Poor hormonal sixteen-year-old Draco. Although it's worrisome that he never got to his intended companion--or did he?
Anywho, I can't wait for the real sack-sessions with real Draco and real Ginny. TeeHee.
