I read your story in the Exchange. It was truthfully my favorite of all of them, and there were quite a few remarkable in the bunch. I am very happy it won in a category. I loved Ginny, I especially loved Draco and the last part of the story where they are left alone was simply beautiful. (This coming from someone that has been reading HP fiction for 7 years). LOL... I just hopped over and read this on the exchange. But I'll review it here. :) This was amazing. The writing was top-notch and vivid without being disturbingly graphic. The characters are captivatingly human and believable and their situation tugged at me with every paragraph. Excellent job. Just... wow.
I read this for during the exchange and it had me in tears. It was so sad. Bittersweet and perfect.
I have to say, I read this when it first came out on LJ for the D/G fic exchange and the end made me cry. It's a beautifully written piece that tugs at your heartstrings the whole time: when they had gotten the wand and were trying to bring down the wards to get out, when Draco slipped the venohex leaf to Ginny when she was trapped, and finally at the end when Ginny died in her sleep and was looking down at her dead body and waiting for Draco.
