It's official, I HATE HARRY!! He knows Lucius killed Severus to save Ginny, either he's really delusional because he's convinced himself that Ginny still wants him despite of all that has happened, and I'm not even counting Draco in that equation, or he's a lying b@#tard. Blaise is one of my favorite secondary characters, I just love him. And Harry...well I often don't like him in Fanfic, unless he is already paired with someone. I especially don't like him when he has an entitled attitude, like he does here.
Author's Response: So glad you like Blaise. I love him too. And Harry, well, at least my version (along many others who share our ship) of Harry is very entitled, as you say. I think of him as taking Ginny for granted, which I think he does in canon, and go from there. He has a tendency to be tunnel visioned, too. Add in my never-ending war and the highly disfunctional relationships he's had as an adult, and you get this Harry who is willing to whatever it takes to hold onto what he thinks is right. ... Blaise is always one of my favorite characters in stories. He can go so many different directions. This chapter was great but it is almost as bad as a cliffhanger!! I want/need more!

I'm impressed with the turn this fic has taken. There's a reason why there are so few D/G "baby" fics of merit, and I really think a big part of the problem is that authors are just too tempted to fluff out into narratives about how utterly perfect everyone's lives instantly became. But if Draco has been a double agent for both the DE's and the Order, that simply wasn't going to happen here. The only way to be true to the reality of the story is to honestly deal with what would happen if Draco actually showed up at the Weasleys' home, Ginny and child in tow, after the events of the past few years. And that's what you did do.
Now, I do think that both Draco and Ginny were being unrealistic in imagining that they weren't likely to run into some serious problems by just popping up out of nowhere, but maybe that's what happens after being cooped up in the same house for two years. They'd both woven a fantasy for themselves by remaining locked away for the world for such a long time-- not saying that's good or bad, but I think that's why they walked into this.
Anyway, I have a tendency to stay far, far, FARRRRRR away from the baby fics... if you read the nightmarish first (and last) one I ever wrote, you'd understand. ;) But this one is interesting, and believe me, that's a big compliment!!
Author's Response: Well, first of all, thank you for this generous review! I know you are picky, so I really appreciate the compliments.And I agree with what you said about the baby fics. It was very difficult to keep the fluff from taking over part two of this fic. I think that's why I introduced the outside world then. It needed some contrast with the "normalcy" of their lives within the house. As for them being unrealistic, I did try to show their hesitancy in returning and a bit of the old Draco coming back through. I also didn't want to spoil the twist that was coming in part three.
I have not read your baby fic - though I am intrigued. Again, thank you! I hope you conitnue to enjoy it.
I like that you brought in Blaise instead of some no-name litigator. I love that Draco has people on his side now. Harry was a little softer in this chapter, and I almost found myself sympathizing with him. The way Ginny responded to him was great. Looking forward to more! :)

This is awesome! Can't wait for the next chapter. U know, now that Blaise has mentioned that Harry might have set him up, I might think that it's really possible. Maybe it's cos that he really din know that the place that hermione lost her baby was a trap. Harry would do anything to get ginny back. I can't wait for to c how this story will turn out! Although... I really have to ask, how many more chapters r there. As much as I like the story, I really want to find out if they'll get their happily ever after!

I loved the reunion between Narcissa and Draco, and I'm so glad she knows about Thuban. Like a true grandmother she loves him already. Hopefully his other grandmother will grow a backbone and stand up to Harry and Ron and help out Ginny.
I'm not sure what happened with the Horcrux site, but I HAVE NEVER doubted Draco for one moment. I can't wait to find out what really happened.
I'm glad George feels Pansy deserves someone other than Harry.

Some people (not really on this site) seem to think that the Weasleys and Harry are OOC, which I can understand to some point. But, I think that anyone living in war for years with no hope in sight, losing a child, and experiencing so much loss would have to be affected. Thanks!And I do agree that being finsihed is the way to go before posting. First of all, there are things people will say in reviews that give you ideas, and I think it is much easier to insert things or alter things if it is already planned out. But maybe not. I am new to this, what do I know? This fic is finished but it still needs some work in places, like editing and expanding scenes. I say vial, shmial. Maybe the ritual wasn't actually binding, but they went through it anyway because they were in love, and have been living as if it was because they believed it was. And I love George by the way, he'll at least be a voice of reason here, and that will go a long way.

Her heart was racing, and she wanted to drop to her knees and cry. She started shaking her head no, staring at the pieces of the broken vial, when her mother spoke the exact thought that she was trying desperately to suppress.
So powerful. The emotion was so artistically woven in the words at first it hurt to read them because you know something is bad is coming but like Ginny you are desperately hoping it's not true (great idea of taking meaning out of a breaking vial, I had never come across something like that). I even skipped the rest of this part after she falls and went down to read a couple other sentences before going back and reading it a few times. Loved it.
And I also loved this --I will be raising your son. He won't even know who you are.-- made me sooo mad I just wanted to jump up and throw something at his head for Draco but at the same time it made me kinda happy cause I want Draco to stick it to him ;)
One part I thought was a bit weak (at least in comparison to the rest) was when she steps out of the burrow. I think it was lacking a bit of detailing to make it more believable.
The last scene was a bit hard to get through for the mere fact I was screaming at George to go home in my head so loud! But that last sentence when he says he trusts him, gosh it was heavy in all the right ways! A great ending to a heart stopping, head banging, nail biting chapter.
Oh and kudos for your Ron cause every time he comes in or is even mentioned I stop breathing for a second just waiting for something, anything to happen, as I'm sure it must feels for every character that comes into contact with him. It happens every time. Every single time.

I think that once George finds the note Ginny left in his flat he's going to be furious. As for the broken vial, Draco was trying to remember the ritual it was always a possibility that he messed it up or did it wrong somehow. It doesn't particularly matter that the binding ceremony didn't work, they still love each other and the hopeless romantic side of me says that Narcissa will throw them a proper wedding once Draco gets out of custody.

I will be holding my breath until I find out what the deal is with the vial breaking! This chapter was wonderful (just like all the chapters before it). I love the way Draco and Ginny handle themselves in this chapter. I like George here, too. He loves Ginny, he loves Ron and the rest of his family, and he's supportive of the Malfoys as well. He really doesn't have a lot of information about what's going on just yet. He's just kind of a safe, neutral person who has everyone's best interest at heart. I think they all need that.
