Beautiful story, Sunny! It had such a nice, refreshing feel, and the emotions were so poignant. Ginny's fear was agonizingly relevant and clear, even if muted because she was trying to push it away, and I love that Draco was the optimistic/hopeful one of the two. I just love redeemtpion stories for Draco so much, and this baby would be his redemption. ;___; Ginny's too, maybe. I love that he recognizes that and still has room to hope for more with Ginny. I really enjoyed the story. Thanks so much for sharing!

Author's Response: Thanks, Jess! I too love redemption stories for Draco. That theme tends to run through many of my stories for him. I didn't write this with it specifically in mind but now that you mention it, it's true that this baby could be his redemption. He'd certainly strive to do right by the kid. Thanks again for the R&R. Glad you enjoyed!

Love it so much! The characters were very mature and thoughtful in the wake of such a life changing scenario. Tugged the heartstrings for sure :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed it. Definitely was going for the more mature angle for the both of them here, so I'm glad that that part came across convincingly.

Made me sad and hopeful at the same time...I do hope they end uP together .

Author's Response: I do too, and with their maturity and honesty with each other, I'm optimistic that this Draco and Ginny could make it. Thus I'm tempted to write a follow-up to explore their ensuing journey - if anything, the reveal scene for the Weasleys could be great fun. XD Thanks for the R&R!

You know I love this fic!! :) It's not a pat happy ending by any means, but we really have hope that Draco and Ginny can work things out between them and can mesh their differences. They're honest with each other, which is what really makes it possible. And thank you so much for participating in the challenge!

Author's Response: Thanks, Anise! And thank you for running the challenge. It was fun to write for and to read the fics written for it.

I liked this story! I loved that this was really just the beginning of their story, before they fall in love. It surprised me that Ginny was so quick to run away from everything, but I think it worked in the context of the story. Good job, as always. :)

Author's Response: Indeed that was the note I wanted to end it on, a note of possibility for a beginning for them. I'm somewhat tempted to write a follow-up to explore how it'd play out, haha. Thanks for the review!

This was really sweet and awkward. Awkward as in the situation Draco and Ginny are in now, not your writing, which is beautiful. How you play up their nervous apprehension is brilliant.

"You know, here's where you'd insert a jab about Gryffindor courage, defuse the situation and all that."

"It's...understandably a bit hard to find humor in said situation."

She nodded glumly.

"I could also make a dig at the Weasley fertility, except it'd also be at my expense."

Lol! This was my absolute favourite exchange.

What I do really enjoy about this fic is that both of them are so reasonable. They've really matured and it shows, yet the personalities that we know and love still remain intact and recognisable. :)

You did a great with the prompt, darlin'.

Author's Response: Thanks, Lia! The bit you quoted was one of my favorite bits as well. I was definitely trying to go for a more mature interaction between them for this prompt so I'm glad to hear that that showed through.
