A very enjoyable tale, thus far. I'm looking forward to reading more when you post again. I'm very glad that i saw Anise's post on FB plugging the story. Keep up the great work and, as always, thanks for sharing. =)

Another enjoyable chapter. As for your chapter end note, I personally prefer reading lengthier chapters. Having said that, I am NOT a writer, but I know that writing fan fiction is not paying your bills, spending time with your family and friends, and taking care of the many responsibilities that real life throws at all of us. I don't like to pressure the authors to suit my tastes. I simply appreciate that you guys are willing to share your talent and time with us. So, write your chapters the way you're comfortable writing them, post them as you would like to post them and accept my thanks and meager pat on the back for a job well done and well appreciated.

This chapter was so much fun! But it needed to be longer.... :(

Okay, here's a word to the wise: for more reviews, post longer chapters. I'm not even completely sure why people aren't as likely to review shorter chapters, but believe me, it's the case. This is such a good fic, and I would hate to see you get discouraged over the review issue. You MUST post more!!

Anyway. There's something so easy and natural about this chapter; the interactions at the party don't feel forced at all. (Why do I think an anorak is a type of ski jacket?? Maybe that's another meaning of the word...) We really don't specifically know who Ginny's friends were at Hogwarts outside of Luna, so it's good to see them included here, and it feels believable. And Draco as Death! I wonder if he means it seriously in any way. You never know with him. ;)

Looking forward to the next chapter! And you're getting a plug on the FIA FB page. If you haven't checked it out already, please do.

The FIA FB Page.

Author's Response: I already said this in another response, but thank you!

Another good chapter! I love Draco's assessment of Ginny-- it's almost like he's trying to analyze his own attraction to her while simultaneously trying to deny it, and he's only willing to do this in terms of rating her against all of the other girls he knows. At some point, he'll have to admit that Ginny is more than the sum of her parts.

Blaise's party coming up... well, this could be good, bad, or in between (as far as what it means to Ginny.)

The Stephen material is interesting. Ginny has always seemed to me to be a character capable of a lot of passion and sensuality, but she would not give it away easily. I don't see her as being a girl who would have sex with any boy who attracted her just for that reason, or to feel that she was obligated to follow through completely with what a boy wanted simply because she'd been willing to do some physical things with him. So-- this really shows her character, I think.

Was the Stephen plot thread the addition? or was it something else?

Author's Response: Yes, I was referring to the Stephen plot. I fell to the temptation of additional drama, and I think it also helps explain some of her thought process through other chapters as well, to be struggling with some issues she refuses to fully address. I really appreciate getting feedback on that particular plot point, so thank you.

I really like the D/G/B interactions you're setting up here. Again, I think that Blaise's character is believable for the Hogwarts era; it's just that this is behavior that we didn't actually get a chance to see. Blaise could certainly say nasty things when it came to Ginny, but what you're showing could also have easily been another part of his character. This is the most interesting aspect of the Hogwarts-era fics-- exploring what was passed over in canon. Off to Chapter 5!

Another fun chapter! (Oh, what a dick Draco is.) I think you'd probably get more reviews with longer chapters. That's been my experience pretty consistently, anyway.

Okay, just ONE thing... pick a height measurement and stick with it. While we have readers from all over the world, most of us will stare at the metric system with glazed eyes. So feet and inches might be best, if you choose to go that way. OTOH, I think that you don't really need to use specific height measurements at all. ("Ginny could feel Draco towering over her... Blaise Zabini was tall, but still a little shorter than Draco..." That kind of thing.)

Great chapter, though, and I certainly look forward to more!

Wow, they're really nasty to each other!! But again... I think that this is believable for the Hogwarts-era Draco and Ginny. It's the type of interaction that we weren't going to see in canon-- JKR wasn't going to write the c-word, or passages about students checking out each other's butts. But if she HAD, this is what we might have actually seen. I especially like that Ginny isn't admitting any attraction to Draco AT ALL. Snerk.

I'm FINALLY able to get around to reviewing this fic!! The first chapter is really fun to read, and you set up your characters and situations very well. It's good to see a well-written Hogwarts era fic. (I totally admit that I can't write those, and I don't even try.) Draco is SO unpleasant here, but he's believable in terms of canon-- the post-Hogwarts and postwar fics can tend to soften him a little. That can be very believable in terms of which way his personality could have gone after canon, but when we're talking about the canon era... no. He was not evil, he was in the process of making moral choices, but he was not a pleasant person.

So, yay for you, and I look forward to reading more! :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your really insightful reviews, and thanks for the feature on the FIA facebook page! I really appreciate it. =]
