Very exciting chapter. Fast paced, I'm very excited to see what this trip is bringing. A little nervous about Flint though. He seems kind of creepy.

Author's Response: Just a little creepy. :) Thanks for the review!! ~Ann

I am enjoying this story. I like that Lucius is not a letch but Draco is! I love that Ginny is great at an important and tough job despite her Rocky start. Hmmm...what to do about a certain clause in her contract?

Author's Response: Haha! I think that might have thrown everyone for a loop that clause. :) We shall see how that goes. Thanks for the review! ~ Ann

It's official, Lucius knows Everything! I can't wait for the next update.

Author's Response: You have no idea... there’s an upcoming scene in later chapters that will astound you at Lucius’s knowledge. Thanks so much for the review! ~ Ann

I LOVE LUCIUS! I really do. He is so hard on Ginny, and yet he does everything he can to make sure she succeeds.
This was a fun chapter. :)

Author's Response: Hehe. Yes, Lucius is pretty fantastic - if he does say so himself. ;) Thanks for the review! ~ Ann

So it gets better and better! I wonder if Ginny will have to work for Draco as well, while he is between assistants?

Author's Response: I guess we’ll have to wait and see! Thanks so much for the continued reviewing ~ Ann

Oh I totally called Marcus coming in (on ffnet lol) but I did think he was going to be less sleazy...and how does Lucius know about their kiss?? he's so sneaky!

Author's Response: Lucius knows all. Really, he does. Thanks so much for the review!!! ~ Ann

love, love, love this story. can't wait to see where things go! Lucius knows his son too well!

Author's Response: :) Lucius does know his son - so we’ll see if he’s right this time or not. He’s been hit or miss in that past. Thanks for reviewing!!

I absolutely love this story! I am always checking to see if it has been updated to read the next chapter. Yet, I find myself reading it from the beginning all over again.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I’m sure it may get old for you eventually, but in the meantime, keep enjoying rereading it! :)

Stepping on feet as a form of flirtation, nice. I hope Gregory won't be offended. Things are going better for her I can only imagine what disasters you have in store for her.

Author's Response: I don’t know that Ginny was so much flirting as she really wanted to cause him bodily harm. And just because things are on the up doesn’t mean that they’ll come down... well, there is that saying. Thanks for reviewing!

Lucis does know his son well! It was amusing and funny on so many levels: the toe stabbing episode, the powder room, the emergency bag, all coming together and creating a great ballroom scene! Thank you for the quick update, i am very much looking forward to next chapter:)
P.S. Will you do a couple of chapters or outtakes with Draco's POV?

Author's Response: So happy you enjoyed it! I would possibly think of doing some outtakes with Draco’s PoV rather than whole chapters because this is firmly from Ginny’s perspective. New chapter will be up shortly. Thanks! - Ann

Ginny's life is seeming full to the brim with stress. I don't know how she is handling it so well. I can't wait to see what you'll write next.

Author's Response: I know. She’s five seconds away from snapping, isn’t she? But she did grow up in a house full of pretty much all boys, she can probably handle a lot. :) Thanks for the review! - Ann

Ok, so my theory is that Narcissa is getting her ready for a different role, i doubt she spent that much time, money and effort on Romilda, so why Ginny?

Author's Response: Or it could be that Romilda was already rather put together so they didn’t have to spend time on her? Just some food for thought - or another reason to find my vague replies annoying. :) - Thanks for the review!! - Ann

I'm not sure why you were debating whether to post this story or not, because it is fabulous! I love Lucius's POV and the Lucius/Narcissa relationship. They are true partners - and Lucius's description of his relationship with his son and Draco's escapades are so fun. I can only imagine how frightening Narcissa could be and I wouldn't want to be Romilda Vane in her presence. I'm already addicted to this story and I cannot wait for Draco and Ginny to actually turn up. Great job so far!

Author's Response: I hope you enjoyed the rest of it as much! The Malfoys are pretty much the stars of this story right now and so fun to right - although I’m continuously worried that I will make a misstep with their characters. So far, I think we’re okay - I think being the key phrase there. Thanks so much for the review!!! - Ann

Oh, what a horror will await her in the morning! I take it she had a total make over as well? I do have a feeling that Malfoy elders have some desings on her, besides work:)

Author's Response: The Malfoys are a complicated family, and even writing this story, I sometimes don’t know what’s in store for Ginny. Things just happen to her and I go, “Alright, we’ll go with it.” :) Thanks so much for the continued reviews!! - Ann

I think what I'm growing to like so much about this fic is that it's such a slow burn, for want of a better term. You are not rushing these characters into anything. It doesn't feel like Draco and Ginny are just inevitably going to get together, and all that the readers are doing is waiting for it to happen. Your conception of the Malfoys is so fascinating-- they're not evil, but they're genuinely unpleasant people in a lot of ways-- and we can see that it is really going to take a lot to get our pair together. Looking forward to more!!

Author's Response: It’s funny, when I was planning this fic I knew it wouldn’t be a rush into the DG. I had to build the characters and mold them into what I wanted - I also kept thinking episodic. This is going to read very much like episodes (and I may have been watching Friends at the time). And the Malfoys are certainly rough around the edges, but I do love them. I can never see Lucius as pure evil so much as someone who knows they’re too good to hang out with you and just deigns to amuse the peasants with their presence. - Ann
Name: Anise reviewed An Offer She Can’t Refuse on Apr 04, 2015 05:01 pm
I think that by the end of this chapter, it was believable that Ginny would have accepted Lucius Malfoy's offer. Part of it, I think, it's that she's not totally out-on-the-streets level desperate. She had the ability to make her own choices. I don't think she has any illusions about him, but she has a kind of core confidence in herself that would enable her to take what he's offering. So we shall see!

Author's Response: I mean she’s fiercely independent, and after seeing her parent’s home life, I don’t think she would want to end up back there and encroach on them in their time of independence from all the children. So yes, she’s definitely in a good place to consider it and go through with it. Even if it’s to save so she can quit later :P Who knows? - Ann
