Intriguing! His last words to her (?!) are curious, but in terms of this as a one shot I think it does end nicely, with the reader able to imagine the next pieces as they see fit. Great little fic.

Author's Response: Gonna be honest, those words were just a reference to the inspiration song. But I do have a headcanon that Draco fell in love with Ginny first, in general. I don't feel like it's something you typically see in stories, but I'd argue there's canon evidence to support the idea. Anyway, thank you so much for taking the time to read and review! I really appreciate it!

So much angst in one short one shot! There's an entire history between Draco and Ginny that is beautifully sketched here, and his final decision not to run leaves us with some hope. Maybe these two really can make it, eventually.

Author's Response: Thank you for your review! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The one shot is sweet, rebellious and passionate. Just the way Draco and Ginny's connection should be. Thank you for the story!

Author's Response: I'm glad I captured that feeling between them well. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

This title was so perfect for this story because it was definitely sweet (Draco not knowing how to comfort Ginny while she cries--doing it correctly anyway) and you definitely got the sense that Draco and Ginny are each other's downfall, like eventually they would have made other mistakes concerning each other leading to their relationship becoming revealed. It feels like they are so happy together, so good together, that it's easy to forget how much people would not be able to accept their relationship, and that's how Ginny slipped up. She was too happy, and Hermione noticed. :( I imagine a happy ending for them, once Draco's spying is done and her family can no longer have any objections. And I thought Draco saying "I loved you first" was so interesting! When and how did he love her first!!! I want to know!! But I don't need to know. That line perfectly explains the history they have together and the depth of Draco's feelings. ;o;

Author's Response: I like to imagine a happy ending, too. :) I also like to imagine it's a sort of ongoing argument between them about who loved who first, along the lines of "I love you more!"| "I love you most!". Couldn't really fit that in, though. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review!
