Once at a dance two children met;
a Weasley and a Malfoy.
A girl and boy who never thought
That the other would make them feel so coy.

Ginny, the girl, of the Weasley clan
And the tall, blond Draco Malfoy.
At the dance they stared, ‘til Ginny said,
“So d’you wanna dance with me, boy?”

So Ginny and Draco swept onto the floor
And waltzed together all night.
They danced and danced and danced and danced,
Until began a fight.

“He’s got my sis!” poor Ronald cried.
“He’s probably hypnotizing her!”
“Relax,” the smart Hermione replied.
“They’re dancing without torture.”

So all of Hogwarts watched the dance,
Unexpected as it was,
While into the others eyes they stared.
Brave Ginny and bold Malfoy.

Ron clenched his fist as he saw his sis
Dance with his family’s foe.
For the Weasleys and Malfoys don’t’ get along
As anyone magic would know.

The Slytherin team just hissed at the pair
(They saw Draco as a traitor),
but Draco Malfoy just didn’t care.
He could deal with all them later.

Hermione smiled as she saw the pair.
She must’ve had some secret.
For she was the one who was fine with it all.
The love with dance as an outlet.

So later that night at the end of the dance
Where in the air floated love and bliss,
Ginny and Draco did something astounding:
They shared their very first kiss.
