Story notes: Written for the D/G 2008 fic exchange, winner of “Best Portrayal of Ginny Weasley”, also nominated for Best overall fic, and Sweetest fic. Get out your toothbrush, because it really is sweet and fun. Thank you to whoever nominated and voted for me. I am humbled.

Note: there has been some rewriting to clean up rough areas, but the plot is unchanged.

The story follows canon, thru DH, but is not epilogue compliant, with one major exception: Fred Weasley lives, because the world is simply wrong without darling Fred.

Disclaimer – Characters and universe for this story are borrowed from JK Rowling and the Harry Potter universe. I own none of that, and receive no financial compensation for this work. I only play here.

I mention a horrible American accent In this chapter. For those who wonder what I'm imagining... well, I once saw an interview on TV with a British fellow who had been living in Nashville, Tennessee for a number of years. It was the most atrocious mix of accents I've ever heard. That is what I'm thinking here. Hope you can work it in.
