After months of going through the motions, a simple peak through a window up turns lives.Category: Works in Progress
Great chapter!! I finally listened to this on @Voice with the voice that sounds EXACTLLY like Draco, which really adds to the experience... ;) I can tell that this fic is getting more and more interesting. We're seeing Ginny's insecurities, her unsureness about herself, and I always think that these Ginnies who aren't as confident as they seem are the most interesting ones. Anyway, looking forward to more!
I really love this fic so far. It's not just smut (not that there's anything wrong with smut, not at all,) but there's definitely more to it than that. Draco is an enigmatic figure here; it wasn't just that he happened to be spying on Harry and Ginny, but rather that he's isolated from intimacy, and he's feeling the first clues that he may not need to be this way forever. i really look forward to seeing how this turns out!
Author's Response: Ah! Such a compliment from you! You've got it spot on. Thanks so much!
There's a Chapter 3, yay! I'll read it this week. I always wondered if there was going to be more to this fic.
Ginny doesn’t trust the Malfoys, or their meteoric return to the centre of society, but a mishap at a party could change everything she thinks that she knows.Category: Works in Progress
So glad to see a new story! :) I'll post a real review later, but I just wanted to let you know.
Author's Response: Aw thank you! Can't wait to hear what you think a86;a039;
So even though Chapter 2 is up, I'm going to review the first two chapters now. This looks like it's going to be a GREAT fic. The conflict is immediately set up, and the questions are fascinating-- what's actually going on? Why can't Ginny leave? Does Draco actually not know anything about this? What about Lucius? The fact that the flowers were originally given to Narcissa by Lucius really makes me wonder if he's behind all of this in some way. He tried to use Ginny to get power once, so what's to stop him for trying again? So many mysteries! BTW... this is literally the first review of any length I've left for a D/G fic in years if you don't count exchange fics. So hopefully this is the beginning of a trend, because I really want to get back into this world again. ;)
Author's Response: I don't even know what to say, I'm so speechless at your review! Like honoured and also laughing devilishly at your theorising and then completely honoured that you're into my story! Thank you so much!
Even though Ch 4 is up, I'm going to review up to this point first... the fic continues to be amazing! ;) So many intriguing questions; so few answers. I'm very interested in the issue of who knows what. Does Narcissa know what's going on? I actually tend to think not. Does Draco SUSPECT something about those flowers and their connection to his father, even if he doesn't know anything specific? That seems a lot more possible. I do think that there has to be some kind of connection between the flowers and Lucius. So much to still be revealed, and on to Ch 4! :)
Author's Response: Oh man I'm so glad you wrote this down before chapter four haha I can't wait to hear what you think!
Yay, I loved this chapter!! It's so fascinating to see how this story is unfolding. Ginny is so wonderfully imperfect-- she's not going to give Draco the benefit of the doubt at all, but then, it's impossible not to ask... should she? In her place, anyone would have to be suspicious at some level of what his motives really are. Has he changed, or is he somehow trying to manipulate her? Even as she's being annoying, it's more than understandable why she's doing it. The plot trope of a magical object/spell/idea/etc forcing Draco and Ginny to be together in some way is a lot of fun, but there's obviously much more here. The parallel underworld adds a completely different level, and it's both attractive and sinister. Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Ah thank you! I tried to keep it realistic as possible personality-wise and Ginny's stubbornness has been so fun!
A few years after the war and Voldemort's fall, Draco: a former Death Eater struggles to recover his reputation as a decent and improved new man as a Ministry low-rank employee. Meanwhile, he gladly reencounters an also new Ginny Weasley. Despite his inner instincts to mock her recent break-up with Potter, upon meeting her opaque, beautiful amber eyes, he finds himself attracted to her darker self. But Ginny, just as Draco, needs more than attraction, she needs to find the fire she long lost, and, who would have thought that icy Malfoy would be that right man to rekindle her spirit?Category: Works in Progress
Thanks for posting! :) I'll leave a real review later, after I've read the chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you for responding!!! I hope I've made the right corrections and that you enjoy this fic ;)
This story picks up at the part in the 7th book where the group is cornered by Snatchers, but this time, someone saves them. This is an alternate ending to the series. There's still a Horcrux hunt and hallows, but we also see Snape and Draco as spies, Ginny joins the hunt, and the group works with the Order this time, instead of staying completely out of touch.Category: Works in Progress
This story is filled with action and a lot of plot twists. It's told primarily from Hermione and Ginny's POVs, with a little Voldemort and Harry POV mixed in.
I'm up to Chapter 12 right now (listening to it on @Voice,) and one major thing wrong with this story... is that it's going to end. ;) I think this is literally the first canon thing I've liked in a LONG time. There's so much that is good here-- the characters, the relationships, the feeling of groundedness in the storyline, the serious themes. Are there things we do, things we witness, things that we're subjected to that we can't come back from, which is what Draco seems to be asking? I sure don't know... when I figure it out, I'll leave the secret in a review. Anyway, I'll write more after listening to more chapters! :)
Author's Response: I’m glad you’re liking it so far. Thanks for reading!
So I'm actually listening to this fic on @Voice (android app, I highly recommend it) and I'll probably leave a review about every 3-4 chapters. :) So far, I'm really impressed. I couldn't even tell you when the last time was that I read a super canon-esque fic, but this reminds me of how good they can be. Every character is so believable, and it's fascinating to get so much of the narrative from Hermione's POV. Not going to lie, I had to skip through the H/G sex while chanting LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU, but I think that for this version of the characters, it's believable that it is there. This really is one way that things could have gone while being true to canon: Ginny got back together with Harry while people were pressuring her to do it, while the expectations were constantly there. But she knows it's not right. What this fic really reminds me of is just how annoyed I was by the pairings we got in the Epilogue of Doom-- they simply weren't right for the characters. Hermione and Ron weren't a match, and Harry and Ginny certainly weren't. That's not how the characters had been set up over the course of the entire series, but they were suddenly stuck together at the end. This is a fic that really takes its time in showing why these partners were wrong for each other and why other pairings are so much more organic and believable, while also telling a very involved, engaging story. Anyway... great start, and looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Thanks! I agree, the canon-relationships are a bit cringey, but don't worry, soon Draco will enter the picture and Ginny will be like: "Harry who?"
Ginny brings home a stray and Draco is not amused. But when has he ever been able to deny her anything?Category: Completed Short Stories
I love this fic! Sweet, ferrety fluff! :)
Author's Response: :D Thank you!
She was his downfall. At least he went down laughing.Category: Completed Short Stories
So much angst in one short one shot! There's an entire history between Draco and Ginny that is beautifully sketched here, and his final decision not to run leaves us with some hope. Maybe these two really can make it, eventually.
Author's Response: Thank you for your review! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Harry may have destroyed Tom Riddle's diary but a piece of him still lives in Ginny. Desperate to rid herself of the Dark Lord's presence in her mind, Ginny finds solace in the arms of another enemy--Draco Malfoy. Can she convince him to help her or will he turn her to a darker path?Category: Works in Progress
I'll leave a real review later but this looks great so far@
Author's Response: Thank you =)
Draco delivers something for Ginny in a dream. Can Ginny take it and use it for her advantage?Category: Completed Short Stories
Loved this fic! It's exactly the kind of spell that would exist in canon, and it's such a clever way to provide some kind of hope for a better ending for the wizarding world. And that last line! :) Really good, and I hope to read more from you.
Six years ago, Ginny broke a promise to Draco that ensured he would remain in prison for a crime he didn't commit. When she walks into his nightclub after all these years, they both discover that the end of their relationship wasn't what it seemed. But is it too late to start over?Category: Long and Completed
COMPLETE!
Yay yay yay! So glad to see this one here! It was such a great mixture of fun, intrigue, mystery, and Draco's hurt feelings. ;) And also smut, of course.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! :)
SEQUEL TO A BEAUTIFUL SACRIFICE***Category: Works in Progress
Draco and Ginny have to deal with the consequences of escaping Tom Riddle. Ginny has a secret that she swore to take to the grave, but it is a key to a puzzle she didn't even know existed. Harry is destined to defeat the Dark Lord, but everyone's destinies are tied together.
I LOVE this chapter! It just covers these characters and their situation so beautifully. It's hard to tell what's real and what isn't to an extent, and I almost feel like they grasp onto sexuality as a way to prove that things are real.... Draco is captured so well here. He's a teenaged boy, he's a spoiled rich man's son, but he's also lived through such nightmares and is wise beyond his years. So many of his actions make sense given the factors that have shaped him as a person. Lots ofD/G tension of course! ;) On to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Always love reading your feedback!
You know how much I love this fic, so I'm just going to say... I LOVE this chapter! ;) Can't wait until the next one!
Author's Response: Couldn't do this story without you!

Ginny was furious.
“Victory for Slytherin as they win the House Cup!”
Positively apoplectic.
”Malfoy’s off on his victory lap while the Gryffindor players run off the pitch in shame.”
Her hands shook with rage.
”What’s this? Ginny Weasley is—oh! Great right-hook! Almost took Malfoy off his broom in one swing!”
Quidditch rivals to locker-room hate sex. That’s it. That’s the plot.
Thanks so much for posting this! I'll write a real review this week, but it's great to see a new story. :)

Sometimes, what you think you want isn't what you need.Category: Works in Progress
Sometimes, what you need is the last thing you ever thought you wanted.
And sometimes, what you want and what you need are one and the same and you get lucky enough to realize it before it's too late.
Thanks so much for posting this fic! I'm in the middle of the summer fic fest right now, but once that calms down, I definitely will read and review. :)
Love this fic so far!! This just pulled me in immediately and made me want to read more. Great job.
Author's Response: Thank you! <3<3<3
When Voldemort captures Sybill Trelawney after the Death Eaters' disastrous raid on the Department of Mysteries, he alters the course of the war forever. Some say the power of prophecy is in the belief of those who hear it, but Draco Malfoy has always been a believer in fate. Can a pureblood witch with a pure heart undo the sins not only of her generation but of one nearly a thousand years in the past?Category: Works in Progress
Slow burn Draco/Ginny as main pairing and told largely from both of their perspectives, though other POVs make a regular appearance. 95% OoTP compliant, 75% HBP compliant, and we diverge from there. Some inspiration drawn from Sarah J. Maas' universes include ACOTAR, Throne of Glass, and Crescent City; Motherland: Fort Salem; and Senlinyu's "Manacled."
restitution (noun): 1) the restoration of something lost or stolen to its proper owner. 2) recompense for injury or loss. 3) the restoration of something to its original state.
in absentia (adverb, Latin): 1) in the absence of the person involved.
Hey Aradia, I'll leave a real review later-- but for now, thanks so much for posting the start of this fic! :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much! Happy to find a full site dedicated to this ship!
Love, LOVE this story! This is really reminding me of how great Hogwarts-era fics can be. I don't even know how long it's been since I wrote one, so it's easy to forget! But this is amazing.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! So happy you enjoyed it.
