D/G cliche love.Category: Essays
Ah the dirty little not-so-secret fantasies of DG Fan Girls and their cliches! The only one that I find truly annoying is the perma-impassive mask that Draco never lets slip and only Ginny can see through. If someone were so continually blank in the face, eventually people would cease to comment on it. But I've read fics where is appears and it noted by the 'speaker' in every other sentence! Argh, the guys has facial muscles and eventually (even if against his will) they HAVE to move!
Ginny and Draco both begin the new year at Hogwarts with hesitation for what lays ahead in their future, not aware that they have a lot more in common than they realize.Category: Works in Progress
I enjoyed getting Ginny's point-of-view for events that are pretty much cannon, its nice to step out of Harry head sometimes! I liked the characterization of her being traumatized but still able to function, too often Ginny is painted as either a conniving emotionless Slytherin-type or eyes-a-fluttering girly girl, this Ginny seems more real. That said, I can't imagine her ever making a joke about Ron being the "ultimate Weasley" because he was turning red with anger! I think she would want to pick up where the twins left off, she'd just never say anything like that. Liked the slip into the flash back and then the snap out of it, very effective.
Hehehe, this chapter is really funny. Ron one-liner about Hermione is so true to his cannon character! The evolution of Draco and Ginny's relationship is really interesting and subtle... its seem to be progressing much the same way an actual enemy turns in to a crush. It feels very real, I can't wait to read more! In fact I don't think I will, chapter 3 here I come!
Draco Malfoy watched Ginny Weasley for years. Now, ten years after leaving Hogwarts, he has his chance in the world of big business.Category: Works in Progress
"A smouldering bastard." Perfect description. Draco is quite a piece of work in this story. He's pure evil and its so much fun to read. I love that Ginny is very much grown and leading her own life but still delicate. Keep writing, I really want to see what happens!
Hogwarts is closed, and the trio and Ginny are staying at Order Headquarters. Draco came one night, and has since became trusted—mainly because of Harry's word. With the trio always gone, Draco and Ginny remain. They become friends, even as Draco tries to fit in and Ginny worries about her weakening feelings for Harry.Category: Works in Progress
Unbeknownst to either of them, The Dark Lord sends Bellatrix and Snape on a mission to find and kill him.
Begins November of what would be Draco's seventh year at Hogwarts.
I'm really enjoying it so far, I actually really like the first person Draco's POV narration. Mostly because it allows Harry to be a mystery to me in a way that he isn't in the books, because we're always in his head. I like the angsty Draco speech on loyalty, so few other authors pay attention to the fact that Draco would have been raised to beieve that Voldemort was 'right' the same way Harry views Dumbledore, and how hard to make the leap to 'good' would be for him. I like the turmoil, he seems genuinely confused, not made an angel with a sudden epiphany, but dealing with the young adult problem of being who you are as opposed to what you've been told to be. Can't wait to see what happens when he opens the door!
Author's Response: Personally, I can\'t stand Harry, so anything that isn\'t from his PoV is always a relief. ^_~ Anyone, I think, would have ended up like Draco is raised in that environment, which is why he shouldn\'t be considered \'evil\', because he definitely isn\'t. Thanks for the review, and I hope you stick around for the next chapters! Chapters up to twelve are written, so they\'ll be up frequently. Thanks for the great review!
Voldemort was a little un-exciting... can't imagine he'd waste one of his best follwers on a teenage boy of no apparent value. Other than that, I miss Draco's PoV and kudos on getting through Ginny and Draco looking at each twice without mentioning any variation of "silver orbs met brown..." Waiting for the next chapter :)
Author's Response: Voldemort wants to get Draco because he\'s a tad obsessed with punishing him. And he also ordered Snape to be a spy again, so of course he\'s not being wasted. Can you tell I wrote this when I used to hate Bellatrix? Now she\'s one of my favourites, and I wouldn\'t write her quite so pathetic. LOL people referring to eyes as \'orbs\' is kind of scary, isn\'t it? Thanks for the review!
Scorpius Malfoy's parents were never around, and left him in the care of his nanny, Ginny Weasley. He grew up blissfully under her care, brought up with the Weasley ideals of courage, honor, and loyalty. Then when he turns 7, his father comes home, and Scorpius' simple world falls apart.Category: Works in Progress
Wow, Scorpius POV! This is really really cool... can't want to find out what's coming!
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'ve just uploaded chapter 2.
Selling herself into a marriage contract, Ginny finds herself playing a deadly game, ultimately pitting her husband against her lover and a father against his son. Many twists and turns, depth and evil characters - and a long story of sweet and true love.Category: Long and CompletedNew! Epilogue is up! Yes, I know, the story has been "complete" for a couple of years, but this ending has been partially written for a long time and it ties up some loose ends.
Its really cool so far, nice set up!!
Wow! Talk about things picking up! I'll be waiting, while tapping my fingers ceaselessly on every available surface, for the next chapter :)
Author's Response: Hahaha! So glad that this chapter has really got folks eager for more! :)
Draco doesn't remember their past together, and now she's just a Weasley to him. Ginny will do anything -jump through all the hoops, pose as an interior decorator, tap dance -ANYTHING- to break the spell that erased his memory and make him love her again.Category: Long and Completed
It's a very cool idea, I like the story a lot. The characterization is my faoritve part, it's really good. Clear yet subtle and already showing that they're multi-dimensional. They're also entertaining without needing to be widly against cannon or fantastical to the point of distraction. I especially love Draco finally understanding how Harry must've felt by now being a hero who doesn't feel heroic. Great stuff :)
Author's Response: Oh wow, this is the kind of review that writers pray for! I love that you've detailed your enjoyment of what I've written. Thanks so much, it really means a lot to me! ^_^
Oh, my heart is breaking. Draco's tears while wishing he could remember their love is crushing and beautiful. I wish I could read it again for the first time.
Author's Response:
Wow, thanks so much. I'm always worried about making Draco cry...it's hard to pull it off realistically! The fact that the scene moved you means that it was done in character, so I'm extra-glad to hear that. Thanks! ^_^
"The day began just like any other for Astoria Malfoy, but it didn’t stay that way for long."Category: Works in Progress
Ten years after the DH Epilogue, Harry Potter dies and everyone else is left to pick up the pieces.
Most of us simply ignore the Epilogue of Doom, a fully compliant D/G romance is really cool. Can't wait to see how it ends!
Convicted and incarcerated after the war, Draco is unexpectedly given a new lease on life.Category: Works in Progress
I really like this story so far, read all 3 chapters in one sitting :) It's a cool story, I don't think I've seen anything like it before. There are some really great moments in the writing and it's pretty funny given that the topic is serious. I think my favorite was Draco's pacing in his cell. Anyhoo, can't wait to read the rest and see how D and G get together!
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm glad you're enjoying it. I had originally intended to keep the tone of the fic serious, but I do have the tendency to write humour, so that's been seeping through even when I don't want it to!
A knock sounded at her door, and Ginny smiled slightly. Five years of absolute closeness, yet Draco refused to be ‘vulgar.’ Knocking on the door, he said, was more honorable than simply bursting into her home or appearing in her fireplace. Giving her the privacy she needed, he said, was more upstanding than forcing his company on her when unwanted.Category: Works in Progress
This story is great so far :) The banter between Draco and Ginny perfectly sets of the darker elements. I can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you!

Hehehe this is hilarious! The banter is just perfect, can't wait to keep reading :)
When you are made for more, can love ever be enough? Draco seeks out a most unlikely character to get advice about his engagement to Ginevra Weasley.Category: Completed Short Stories
I really enjoyed this take on the failing of a young D/G relationship, very original. I think my favorite part was Andromeda's line, "for those of us who were made for more, love is not always enough". It was great how Draco mirrored the line later with more certitude, but strangely when he thinks it it sounds very unconvincing. I'm very curious about what he said when he broke if off with Ginny, she wouldn't have put much stock in that argument, I'm sure. Anyhoo, great read :)
Nothing is Incurable except death itself and no one knows that better than Healer Weasley.Category: Works in Progress
I really like this so far. Draco is horribly in character throughout and I can't wait to see how he and Ginny manage to get together.
Trying to escape the pain of her daughter's death, Ginny runs to Pennsylvania to start anew. Almost six years later, a man from her past walks back into her life, reopening old wounds and setting in motion a journey of discovery, sorrow, and joy.Category: Long and Completed
This is a cool concept for a story, usually it's Draco who doesn't know about his and Ginny's love child. I'm desperate to see more of the Malfoys but I especially loved Serena; she's a great mix of haughty and demanding like Cannon!Draco and caring and spunky like Ginny. I absolutely love the evil grandmother bit, I admit I cackled just a little when I read that :)
Please please update soon! I can't wait for Molly to get her comeuppance and Ginny's reaction to Serena.
Bless you and your frequent updates! This story is evolving really nicely, I like that Draco truly doesn't have any interest in Ginny. Now when they do hook up it'll be awesome and wonderful and beautiful and not too fluffy. Great job, please keep writing!
Author's Response: It will be a hook up like no other. I'm kidding. I probably won't be able to write an epic hook up. I'll try though. And what more can one ask for? I guess you could ask for perfection...
Yay! Bring on the first date :)
Author's Response: Well, the first date will certainly be memorable.
