Draco's Dangerous Dilemma by Anise    (Reviews - 1418)

All Ginny wants is to get the upper hand just once with drool-worthy hunk of man candy and callous playboy Draco Malfoy before he moves on to his next careless conquest. So how did this simple plan lead to time travel, nefarious plots involving the most infamous whorehouse in the wizarding world, and the teenaged Draco’s achingly sweet, chocolate-flavored kisses? Even Draco Malfoy was innocent once, as Ginny learns all too well…

Chapter ONE HUNDRED EIGHTEEN Quote of the Day:

THE LAST CHAPTER

The minutes ticked by, long enough for Ginny to know that against all reason, all common sense, she still wanted impossible things from him. But she would leave. Even after today, even when her body ached from him and for him, when she could feel that he had begun to shape her to him, she would turn around and leave him. I will, I will, she thought.

“You don’t understand,” said Draco.

“Oh?” Ginny said stiffly. “At least he hadn’t touched her, she thought. She would not be able to find the strength to pull herself away from him, and she knew it.

Aw, calling Richard Dawkins a schlemiel ? /sniffles. As always, a wonderful chapter that will keep me checking for updates regularly.

Author's Response: Thanks! :) And about Dawkins, sorry.... but he said mean things about Stephen Jay Gould, and he wouldn't include Richard Lewontin or Sean Carroll in that collection of Best Science Writing he edited. And I just don't like gene selection theory...well, anyway. ;) More soon.

What just happened!? I felt like the story took a complete 180. And it was different being from the first person perspective, so I hope the next chapter clarifies these recent developments...

Author's Response: I changed the other parts to first person, too. It made it easier with what I wanted to do for this chapter.

The Girl With the Taxi Driver by Anise    (Reviews - 49)

The war is over, and so is Draco Malfoy's world. He has run as far as he can, and now, as a taxi driver in a world that has no more magic, he has come to the end of the line... or so he thinks. But when he finds the former Ginny Weasley, he learns just how many mysteries remain to be solved... and how much hope can still be found.

Chapter SEVEN quote of the day:

At three in the morning, Draco turns off the sign on top of his cab and pulls into the parking lot of the pancake house. He sees her small figure tucked into a seat in the corner table. It sends a pang of something like fear through him when he gets an inkling of just how happy he is to see her.

Ginny slides into a molded plastic seat. “I’m hungry. Want to split some pancakes?”

She eats ravenously when they arrive, tearing apart the pats of butter in their foil wrapping, ripping the cover off the sealed plastic pouches of syrup. “I shouldn’t have coffee this late. I’ll never get to sleep. I never do before five or six anyway, so I guess it doesn’t matter.”

This casual Ginny. Flippant. She does not want him to feel sorry for her. She will not accept his pity. He admires her. He wonders just how many Ginnys there are. He wants to meet them all. That scares him, too.

I love that this is in Portland! I'm from the area so it was very neat for imagining the story. Looking forward for your next update.

Author's Response: Thanks! :) I'm not really sure exactly why the setting seemed so important for this one... but since I live here now, Portland it is! :) I don't think I could set it convincingly in Nashville anymore. And there's a very good reason why it's here, too. If anybody would have caught the hint, it would be someone who knows the area. I'm trying to be totally accurate as far as where places are and that kind of thing (although as far as I know, Draco is NOT here. I'll tell y'all if I see him. ;) So let me know if I get anything wrong! More soon.
