Wait wait! Marie is Draco's companion! Is she not? Let me see...Draco actually never saw Marie before really meeting her, the night of their...hmm encounter, right? so portrait Draco could see his companion but only as an illusion. So if Ginny was the only one to have contact with his portrait, he wouldn't have known it was her...but something in her stirred up something? he both hated and loved Marie...maybe because she showed herself as a very different person from the actual Marie!? (maybe that's why he called her Marie so many times...)Let me know if i'm in the right track at least! my mind is racing!
Author's Response: I can't answer a lot of questions about Marie yet... ;) But they DO get answered eventually, and the Marie-issue does end up being very important later on. But yes, you're accurate about everything you've said so far. ;)

Author's Response: Everybody seemed to say that about this chapter.... okay, okay, nothing actually HAPPENED. But the other thing is that I defined the legal wizarding age of consent as 16 for this fic. Barb was a very well-known author who did her own definition for the *Triangle Prophecy*, and SHE went with the age of 15 (so at least I didn't do that!)
I too read Darwin's theory of evolution...or tried to at least, it was logical alright...but never actually got to wrap my head around it, but now that I've read it from ginny's pov...thanks! I get it know! :)

Maybe lemon cream would be nice. :) Nobody knows WHAT is going on with this weird migraine-ish thing yet, but coffee and chocolate are always sure things to stay away from. Anyway. Draco is finally just losing a lot of his ability to stay cold towards Ginny, even though he knows just how selfish he's being by doing so. He really can't keep it up anymore. We will get the see the process throughout the Ball! ;) The dress is an accurate example of the ones that were common around the beginning of the Regency-- in fact, some women used to wear transparent muslin gowns, dampen them with water, and then not wear any undergarments. And then go to balls. Now, about the film... okay, just as long as H/G isn't all we're crying about... ;) Anyway, more soon!
