Maybe I'm a bit harsh, but I don't like Ginny in this fic. Draco is waaaay too good for her. And I totally want Draco to be with Ginny over Harry, but Harry here seems so OOC. Didn't like him either.

Author's Response: Sorry you feel that way. This Ginny is very difficult to like mainly because she doesn't like herself. She has been broken and never took the time to fix herself. Draco is not completely innocent in this fic, but he does get a lot of undeserved grief from Ginny. My take on Harry in this fic was built on his treatment of Ginny as a trophy, which I think he does even in canon. I would like to think that Harry would never cheat on Ginny or manipulate her the way my Harry does, but I do think even canon Harry is 'human' and capable of making poor choices. While canon Harry hates the limelight, we don't know how he would react to finally experiencing the freedom the end of war would provide. It could go to his head a bit. I don't think that's too much of a stretch. Anyway, I'm not sure if you read all of this fic or not, but I do thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. No one in this fic is really a villain - not even Harry. They all have their reasons for making bad choices and Ginny does eventually deal with her problems. Thanks again.

Charcoal and Paint by jessica k malfoy    (Reviews - 56)

He looked at the wall for a long time. “I can paint anything I want?” he asked finally.

She nodded. “Anything.”

“I want to paint you.”

This was written for the D/G Fic Exchange over at Livejournal and yall... I won FIVE awards. FIVE!!! I can't even believe it! I'm so elated! I can't even fathom how this happened! *faints* I won Best Overall Story, Best Fluff, Best Kiss, Best Portrayal of Ginny, and Favorite Line. I can't even comprehend this. Okay I'll shut up now so you can read it!

Very different from any other D/G story I've read, and it was amazing. Great concept and excellent execution!
