Sometimes your savior isn't who you were expecting. (First fic I've authored- be gentle!!)Category: Completed Short Stories
I'm impressed with this as a first story. Sure, there's some stuff that could be explained more, such as why/how Draco's in love with her, and how she falls in love back, besides that he loves her and he rescued her, but I tell you what, this is about 10,000 times better than my first fanfic was. It was sweet, it was internally consistent, it was free of technical errors, and just in general was designed to put a nice smile on my face. Thanks for posting it here, and I hope to see more from you soon. :)
Summary ---It’s the beginning of February and a Slytherin has gotten their hands on Cupid’s bow and set of arrows. The plan goes awry and the arrows are being found all around school. Love is running amok and no one is safe. NO ONE! This fic will contain numerous ships.Category: Works in Progress
Squee! I love the tension in the Harry/Neville/Luna group, and the way that Hermione's managing to hold on to control - tenuously, but cupid's arrow has an awful lot of logic to get through before she and Blaise end up together.
My goodness. I never in a million years would have expected to hear myself say this, but... TheNeville/Harrybitwasreallyreallyhot. *^^* The Blaise/Hermione also - his intensity was just crackling. I'm so happy you updated, and I can't wait to see what happens next! :D
Ginny is surprised when Draco moves beyond friendship.Category: Long and Completed
Squee! One or two typos, and the bit about sixth year was unclear, but otherwise, perfection. I love, love, love devious Draco, and the idea that he's withholding sex to gain a wedding ring makes me giggle like mad. Thanks for posting, and I hope to see more soon. :D
Author's Response: Damn spellcheck and damn computer - I'm constantly plagued by one pop-ad that is driving me to distraction. How many more spyblaster and adware programs do I have to load!
I'll go back and edit - I hate typos. And sixth year will be more revealed in the future. I had almost a page more and then realized it was distracting from the actual exchange between Blaise and Draco.
Wah! I typed a big long review and the browser ate it! The shorter version is that I adore your Narcissa, and I think your Hermione is spot on, and the bits with the Weasleys seemed just as IC. Plus, D/G got married and are going to live happily ever after! *bliss coma* I love this story.
Author's Response: I'm so relieved you thought my characters were in keeping with canon (or as much as we know). I admire your work immensely particularly your attention to canon detail.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I can't even say anything coherent, because I am so very, very much in love with this fic. Bravo. BRAVO.
Author's Response: I am so thrilled you liked it. Consider yourself my Muse for this - I don't think I would have daren't write it without your encouragement.
I plan to leave it be for a bit, and then combine NJFA and Interludes into one cohesive story, fixing the errors, smoothing out some of the story line, and polishing. I'll post it again to the Archive then.
Eeeeeeehehehee, let the games begin! I find it interesting you're starting with Blaise being the one interested in Ginny - gives another obstacle to the path to true love for the ferret and weaselgirl, but I have faith. :D
Author's Response: I hereby give you permission to virtually smite me senseless should I ever deviate from the course of true love for the Great Ferret and the Girl Weasel. My happy endings do not include Blaise with Ginny, and I still have nightmares about fics that pair Draco with Hermione. I don't care how well-written they are, they're just wrong, and I feel vindicated by the fact that JKR has said so.
Cara:
Echo is not a nasty little stupid plagiarist. Therefore, Echo is in no danger of being banned.
--Mynuet, Head Bitch in Charge
Author's Response: Thanks. See? Told you I was friendly with her. She likes me cos I don't fic-thieve. That's why you got banned, Cara.
A series of glimpses into the first few months after Draco and Ginny take their relationship to the next level. Based on my story, Not just friends any more, be forewarned - these are not for children.Category: Long and Completed
Mmmmmm, yummy. It seems like it'd fit in with the regular story, but I'll take delicious D/G any way I can get it.
Author's Response: I'm glad you like the first instalment of your birthday present. It's my way of dealing with the challenge of trying to get every little idea in the story - I'd never get it finished then.
Draco's seventh year is coming to an end and plans are being made. While he's trying to determine where Ginny fits in those plans, she's trying to do what's best for him.Category: Completed Short Stories
*happy sigh* How did I not see this fic before? Or has my forgetfulness worked to my advantage for once, and let me have anew the lovely feeling of fluff that works, which is a nice way to bring a smile to my face. Yay!
The tragic death of their daughter has brought the Weasley family to do the unthinkable: bring Ginny back to life. Yet the risen Ginny is no longer the sweet girl they knew and loved. With the help of one Draco Malfoy, she lives the life she was condemned not to live since birth… and learns the ways of the darker side in the Wizarding community.Category: Works in Progress
Very interesting. I can't wait to find out why Ginny hates her family.
I love the almost dreamy way that you show Draco's obsession - I was going to quote specific lines, but I'd have to quote half the chapter. I also like the ambiguity of Snape's morality, and the almost vassal-like relationship he seems to have with Lucius and Narcissa.
Author's Response: I do see Snape as very ambiguous - he's been walking a fine line between both sides for years. And he is pureblood so he has that mentality. And I do see Snape as looking up to Luciusagainst his will; rich handsome and powerful - everything Snape isn't.
I thought it was interesting to look at Ginny's obsession, and to anticipate the way that it's going to clash with Draco's. The relationships between the various members of the Phoenix Division were really well done, and the friendship between Ginny and Hermione.
Author's Response: Thank you. I do feel that there is a growing bond between Hermione and Ginny that is only referred to in the books and not given much other attention.
Draco meets Ginny Weasley for the first time and she leaves an impression that he will remember for the rest of his life.Category: Completed Short Stories
Did I write a note when I accepted this? I don't remember. I did think it was a good story, despite my not being the biggest fan of the theory that Draco gets beatings. I thought that you did a superb job with conveying the unwilling yet instant and total attraction, the strangeness and excitement of, er, self-discovery, and his longing and bitterness. Did you plan for this to be a one-shot, or perhaps the prequel to something longer? Either would work, although of course the second one would make me much happier. ;)
In a tale of forks, golden tassels and cake, Ginny endures an uncomfortable meal at the Malfoys.Category: Completed Short Stories
Heeeeeeeeeeee! I adored this. Ginny's discomfort was so well done, and I loved how Lucius and Narcissa seemed to warm up to Ginny once she just started snapping. I was snickering throughout, but especially at the galleon in an uncomfortable place.
Mynuet's Birthday Fic. Dark Directed-verse ficlet set not long after the ending of DD. I pitched this idea to Mynuet on her birthday, and she said she wanted me to write it out, so I did. Sadly I got hung up on the smut, so it's a very late birthday present. I hope it's all you hoped for, Shar! Happy Birthday!Category: Completed Short Stories
I love my fic. *big cheesy grin* It really comes through that Draco adores her but finds it hard to talk about, so he has to show her.
A six-year old Ginny meets a seven-year old Draco in the Ministry of Magic while waiting for her father. An innocent friendship forms, and they remain playmates throughout their childhood—unbeknownst to their families. However, moving on to Hogwarts splits them, because they each have their own images and families to support—but they will never forget their childhood memories. Details what really happens behind the scenes between Draco and Ginny during the first five years at Hogwarts. Pairings: Draco/Ginny. NOTE: Temporarily abandoned until I find more inspiration. I did, however, halt my story at a good stopping point, which perhaps is why I'm so reluctant to begin again. Regardless, I hope you enjoy what is here, and I will write again when I have the time and motivation. ^^Category: Works in Progress
Great job with weaving the story into canon. Can't wait for more.
Meet Ginny Weasley, a girl who alienates herself from her family and house when she becomes friends with two Slytherins. One of them is her best friend, and the other is her family’s enemy; both are in love with her. When the war finally reaches its terrifying end, Ginny finds that she can't choose between them. Well, wars have a funny way of making decisions for you...Category: Works in Progress
A very good start. :) I like your use of Blaise here, and the way you manage to show Ginny as being alienated without going overboard into the "poor pitiful Ginny" cliche.
Author's Response: Aww, thanks. Actually, that's a pet peeve of mine - I hate fics where Ginny is pictured as pitiful. I mean, she was in the Dept. of Mysteries in OotP. So OBVIOUSLY she hasn't been ignored that much.
If you could send me the original file, I can look and see what's causing the problem. Offhand, I'd say it sounds like there's an open html tag in there somewhere.
Ginny receives a box of chocolates from an unknown sender. When she actually tries them, she's in for a treat.Category: Completed Short Stories
My God this story is hot. If the tension builds any further, you're going to have to put on a warning about potential spontaneous combustion.
*choke* And people say I leave evil cliffhangers? This story is tres sexy, and a good twist on the traditional secret admirer scenario. I sincerely hope it hasn't been abandoned entirely.
Part 1 of 2 in the Homecoming series. After coming face to face with the Dark Lord, Draco has second thoughts about the Death Eaters and flees to Hogwarts. There he finds sanctuary, an unlikely friend, and an alarmingly ambiguous future. Rated R for swears, just in case.Category: Long and Completed
I thought it was an excellent depiction of very solid reasons for why Draco would choose not to follow the Death Eater path. Good job, and I hope you write more soon.
Author's Response: Thanks, Mynuet! Having a positive review from probably my favourite D/G goddess of all time is fantastic! :)
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! *sniffle* I love how their relationship built up, and how the sudden shift in the nature of it was precipitated in a believable way. Is this the end of the first segment and the beginning of the next?
Author's Response: *pats* Thank you; I\'m often afraid I\'m barrelling into soap opera territory. Though, if that were the case, there\'d probably be a lot more slapping, flashbacks and convoluted scheming.
I’ve been mulling this over since I read Mynuet's essay, which by the way, Shar, was very well done. Mine is taken from a different angle. Just a bit of rambling, really . .Category: Essays
Dude, if I was kicking off everyone who believes in H/G happening in canon but likes D/G in fanon, the site would be pretty darn empty. ;) Me, though, I'm in denial. I like it; it's a happy fluffy land.
Author's Response: Isn't it though? :-) Thanks!
Written for a prompt by Sharlene once upon a time, this short story features, among other things, a tree-house, a new year celebration, and one-on-one naughty Quidditch.Category: Completed Short Stories
Eee! I don't remember this one, let alone the prompt, but I love it so!
