It's hard to learn how to live without that one person you thought would be in your life forever. But Ginny Weasley had always been a quick study, and there are always certain grey-eyed boys to help speed up the learning process...Category: Works in Progress
I've read everything here before, and even favorited it, but I'm not sure I ever left you a review. I wanted to let you know that I'm going through heartbreak right now and I think this story will be very helpful. I will definitely be re-reading it and trying everything Hermione said. I'm not sure if you came up with the steps yoursekf or found them some place else, but I think they're brilliant and I look forward to being able to do them on my own.
Ooh, so what I can remember from LJ, I like this better.
Ha ha, I love the line about his misplaced fear of cats, and I really like that she had some time for personal reflection after that talk.
Well, I like this better than her telling him at work. She and Harry even made up!
I knew why they were here. This was the grave of the one who was supposed to have been the savior. The one who was to have been the hero. The salvation of the Wizarding World. He was supposed to be all of those things and more. But he had failed. He had failed and because of that failure, this was the first time in a year they’d been able to visit this grave.Category: Completed Short Stories
This is absolutely beautiful, and the song lyrics are fitting. I can't remember if I've read this before. I'm guessing the blond is Harry still disguised?
Draco brings out thirteen darn good excuses, but none of them seem to be working. Inspired by this site's "blanket" skin.Category: Completed Short Stories
That is so cute! :)
Author's Response: Thanks! :)
Ginny plots to get what she wants.Category: Completed Short Stories
Ha ha, such a funny ending!
Ginny takes out her Malfoy-derived frustrations on paper. The said Slytherin finds them. Trouble ensues.Category: Completed Short Stories
:) This is cute!
Author's Response: Thank you very much!
Draco is distracted by red hair in the library.Category: Completed Short Stories
It sits on the shelf, dusty and disused. Its owners have long forgotten that this old relic ever existed. Its pages are grimy and its ornate leather cover is inscribed. ‘Malfoy’, it says in a curly, almost unreadable script. It is a photo album.Category: Completed Short Stories
That was so adorably cute, and I did not see him being their grandchild. Since he's a Malfoy, they must have had a son eventually!
Author's Response: I've done some changes so that they do have a son (although it's only mentioned really quickly):)
Just because the war is over doesn't mean everything's okay. There are some things magic can't fix.Category: Completed Short Stories
I particularly liked how distant this sounded.
Author's Response: I'm glad you did - it was an effect I worked hard to achieve.
So, why was Draco sitting on the unmade bed staring intently at a pair of his rolled-up black socks? The reason behind this was really very simple. It was not the socks Draco was staring at, rather it was what the socks contained that were of interest to Draco. Inside the socks was a box, and inside the box was a ring.Category: Completed Short Stories
lol I love the last line.
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing. I happen to like the last line myself. :)
Ron and George were going to get a kick out of this. Their sister had been totally duped. And she didn't even know how bad it was until he told her who he was leaving her for.Category: Completed Short Stories
Just to correct a common misconception the other reviewers have- Catholic priests *can* have families provided they were married before they're ordained. The way they go in is the way they must stay. Most just choose not to because it's difficult to juggle the needs of a family with the needs of the Church.
Author's Response: This is true, but since he's entering without marrying Ginny, things aren't looking so good so far! But thank you for clearing it up for other readers!
When it came to giving up everything, no one would ever believed that Draco would do it. But if it mean choosing between Ginny and his family, well, he could only be pushed so far.Category: Completed Short Stories
That certainly is cute.
Author's Response: thank you very much! cute is what i aim for... oh wait.... i just stole that line from a band.... LOL
She was tired. Tired of hurting. Tired of trying to move on. Tired of wondering why. He was scared. Scared of the future. Scared of his past. Scared of forgetting. Mostly, they were lonely. Sequel to both "You Bring Me Closer to God" and "Reach Out and Touch Faith."Category: Long and Completed
You said previously that she and Narcissa used to get tea and gossip about the society ladies.
Author's Response: Ahh, I did! I've gone back and edited it correctly. This is what happens when you don't have a beta :/
Ron reflects on the life of his baby sister. Companion to outweighed.Category: Completed Short Stories
Wow. I had not seen her death coming. This was so beautiful.
Author's Response: I'm surprised that you didn't see it coming. I was sure the summary was too telling. That just goes to show you that you shouldn't judge your own work. I'm glad you liked it.
Draco and Ginny overcome the effects of war one moment at a time. A series of connected drabbles. EWE.Category: Works in Progress
An ongoing response to the 100 Days, 100 Drabbles challenge on the DG Forum.
"And she pretended she didn’t care about the answer."
I like this line. And I can definitely commiserate with all of Clothes. I was so nervous on my last first date, and had a mini freakout in the car that didn't fully subside until he saw me, and we were also meeting for the first time.
Author's Response: Yay! Glad that rang true. I definitely have the same feelings and insecurities when I dress up, even if it's just for a night out with friends. There's something about the effort that is pretty nerve-wracking in itself--never mind meeting someone new on top of that!
These are ridiculously good!
Author's Response: XD Thanks, Wolfie!
I think my favorite is Pain, followed by Test.
Author's Response: I think Anger might be my favorite right now. It's in the next batch. :)
“Until you pick a side, you can't look down on me for what I was forced to do!”
You're right, Anger is good. I really liked the end of Puzzle too.
Author's Response: Thank you! n_n
I really liked the tone of Discrepant. It's like Draco was trying to convince himself of something.
Despite his hate for all three of them, he didn't want to be their executioner.
and
He was not a murderer.
Were my favorite lines. The second is especially powerful, I think.
Nice job on bringing the Mirror of Erised in. I like that Luna was completely sensible in those moments. I think what my favorite thing most of all is, though, that all these drabbles tie together into one larger story. Sorta like snapshots.
Author's Response: Haha. I've been getting lots of different interpretations - or just plain confusion - for Mirror. I also think that Luna is a pretty sensible person with her straightforwardness. She just believes silly things because the only authority figure in life makes his living off of them. Which is a rather neat contradiction. Of course, that's just my interpretation of her character. I'm glad you are enjoying the drabbles though. I was a little afraid that the snapshot format of the story wouldn't give enough to it, but then again, it does highlight just the important points, without all the transition in the middle.
I enjoyed Questioning because I feel anybody who's suffered a loss has those same questions echoing in their minds. I certainly did. And I hope that Draco and Ginny's letters will help them get through their separate trials and recovery after the war. The way that drabble ended just seemed so poignant.
Emotions warred within him as he thought of it. On one hand, he was embarrassed to have spoken so highly of his father in the past, when now people only associated him with a criminal. On the other hand, he was his father, and nothing would change that. Draco still wanted to please him. He still wanted to admire him.
I think that was my favorite part though. I think sometimes people forget that some of our criminals were, in some ways, regular people. I liked how Draco sees his parents, especially his mother, in a new light.
Author's Response: I like writing the parts that were left out of the books, especially since there were so many repercussions from the war, but we skipped right over all of that emotional turmoil to get to the epilogue. :P Which was a legitimate thing for JKR to do, and totally leaves us lots of room for interpretation and creativity. Thanks for the review. :)
:D My favorite part might be why the trio decided to return to school. And the funniest bit is Draco's rainstorm. Poor him.
Author's Response: :D Hey. To me, Hermione does not seem like the kind of person to skip out on a year of school. And if Harry thinks that using a second-year spell to defeat Voldemort makes him a qualified wizard, he's more big headed than I thought. And Ron? I think he'd get bored and do whatever the other two do. :P Hopefully Draco's luck will turn around by the next batch of drabbles. :)
Aww, the little girl was so sweet! Heh heh, I'd like to see Molly's face too when the cake explodes.
Author's Response: I expect she won't be amused. 9_9 Thanks for reviewing! :D
LMAO Oh my goodness, the last line of Blue is just the most hilarious thing of the whole post! :D
Author's Response: XD Hahaha. Poor Draco. His mother has traumatized him. :C Thanks for reviewing!
