I like the idea of Draco being thrown off kilter and not being able to come up with a good comeback. With Ron he can make the "you're poor" jokes and get a reaction but not so much with Ginny. I think you did a great job of showing that because she didn't fall for his snobbery, it intrigued him to the point he dropped the act and became more interested in her as a person.

Very interesting insight!
1a. I will admit I am a sucker for this. There's just something about the build-up and then the climax that gets me every time.
2. I also notice a lot of stories where Ginny has decidedly very Slytherin qualities. While I don't mind it, it always seem a bit OOC to me.
5. I don't think it's weird to think that Ginny would be a virgin, especially in stories where they are younger. What drives me crazy is #9...
9. Draco!ManWhore. At 16/17 he would certainly not have that much finese AND I would like to think (for the sake of having to see their peers each day not to mention their teachers knowing more than they let on) that any student who is hooking up is a bit more discreet?
Notice none of this stops me from reading these stories, but you're absolutely right.

This was written very pretty. It was almost like reading a monologue in a book or play... like not only do you get the face to face conversation but also their inner thoughts as well.

The tension grew more and more every passing second, to the point where it was suffocating, as both sides waited to see who would strike first.
