I love this epilogue so much better. Scorpius? seriously? Made me want to puke.

Here's a possible explanation for JKR's obvious digs at Draco

"People have been waxing lyrical [in letters] about Draco Malfoy, and I think that's the only time when it stopped amusing me and started almost worrying me. I'm trying to clearly distinguish between Tom Felton, who is a good looking young boy, and Draco, who, whatever he looks like, is not a nice man. It's a romantic, but unhealthy, and unfortunately all too common delusion of — delusion, there you go — of girls, and you [nods to Melissa] will know this, that they are going to change someone. And that persists through many women's lives, till their death bed, and it is uncomfortable and unhealthy and it actually worried me a little bit, to see young girls swearing undying devotion to this really imperfect character, because there must be an element in there, that "I'd be the one who [changes him]." I mean, I understand the psychology of it, but it is pretty unhealthy. So, a couple of times I have written back, possibly quite sharply, saying [Laughter], "You want to rethink your priorities here."

There you go. Now it is quite clear that JKR wants to spoil Draco forever by saying that he has receding hairline. As if...

Another possibility is to simply keep the Boy Who Lived, dead, but which JKR quite hastily corrected because she feared the wrath of children. Make up your mind already! He was supposed to die! It made so much more sense than how he miraculously comes alive! Well, anyway, thanks for this balm to my depressed soul...

Author's Response: It\'s more than obvious she was trying to make us hate Draco because we don\'t love her precious Saint Potter as much as she does. She\'s entirely too close to her own main character to see that he really is a tosspot wanker toad. I recall her saying once upon a time that she couldn\'t understand why all the girls went for Draco when she\'d given them a perfectly nice hero to love. Uh, Jo, I do believe we like Draco because he\'s much more human than Harry will ever be. Draco gets into trouble and is punished for it, Harry does not. Draco is all talk up until HBP when he\'s under a lot of stress and Harry doggedly pursuing him and he snaps. Harry and mates hex Draco beyond recognition at the of OotP and stuff him in a luggage compartment... Harry very nearly killing Draco in the bathroom... Draco grows a conscience and listens to it. He does not become a killer because in his heart and soul he is not one. Harry doesn\'t grow at all - he\'s still the same self-centered, reckless bastard he was in book one. He shows little regard for his friends and even less for the girl he supposedly loves. Ginny would *never* be happy with him because he\'d ignore her in favor of Ron and Hermione\'s company. Ginny was just a means to end for Harry - a family and nothing more. She deserves better!

Nineteen Years Later... the Truth by Anise    (Reviews - 893)

What really happened in the DH Epilogue of Doom. Poor, poor Harry, so very clueless...

Chapter SIXTY-NINE quote of the day:

Ginny scowled at him. “You don’t know me very well.”

Draco shook his head, his eyes more sorrowful than ever. “No. I don’t. Eternity wouldn’t be long enough for that.”

“Why do I feel as if we’ve suddenly wandered into the set of a men’s cologne commercial?” complained Lucifer.

“Can’t you keep your damn mouth shut, Lucifer?” spat Draco.

“Please… really… I don’t think you should talk to him that way,” whispered Ginny.

why does it seem like that will NOT happen? sigh... It seems like foreshadowing for the exact opposite! Please let it end happily? Especially after JKR's sickeningly happy H/G epilogue?

I absolutely love this story; it's quite novelle to say the least. And this chapter was hot; young Draco and older Ginny! Phew.

So I'll confess my nerdiness; I went back to the chapter with Ginny's first time to see if there are any clues that Draco let slip in the heat of the moment(I refuse to even consider the possiblity that this might be their last time; there would be no point to it, plotwise) I would talk about time paradoxes but I do wish to confuse you or myself when talking about such things!

So anyway, in my journey to calm my fears, I found this:

“Can’t wait,” he panted in her ear. “Can’t. Can’t. It’s been so long. Let me. Ginny. Let me, I need it now, I need—“

When I first read it, I thought Draco just meant he hadn't had sex in forever, but now that particular line takes on a whole new meaning. It seems more likely that he meant that it has been too long since he had Ginny!

And then further on, he admits, "You feel lust for me because I know how to tease you, to play with you, to bring you right up to the brink without letting you fall over it. Those are things that make you ready to have sex with me, to want it, to be hungry for it."

Before I alluded that to Draco's "Sex Godliness" and all his experience, but if he had already explored her body, knew what buttons to push then,of course, he would know how exactly to bring her to the brink. He's not likely to forget!

And to top it all off, you mentioned in the A/N that it will all be congruent to the Episode of Doom!

So yeah, absolutely awesome. I would like to congratulate you on your ingenuity; it's difficult to craft a plot so tightly and with all those twists and turns, but still leave hints along the way for readers to ponder, so that they can say, "oh I always thought there was something strange about that!" or "Now I know what that meant," but not make it too obvious. When first it might seem inconsequential, it ends up having such great importance later. That is some fantastic planning and plotting, and I can't wait to find out how you resolve everything! Now i shall go off, excited by my discoveries!

*trying to admire crown on self but too distracted* So, I completely missed the major point when I assumed that it would not help the plot if Ginny and Draco did not become a couple after all (duh), but I still firmly believe that they will. Call it a gut feeling or wishful thinking or whatever.

You see, how possible is it to change 17 years worth of history; how do you manage that? There are many threads, and while you might take different paths, the outcome can still be the same. Nothing changes because there are too many permutations and variables. So as vainly as Ginny tries to change the future, this is not the way to go about it. Perhaps the point of the whole journey is to make her realise that she does love Draco after all. She needs to go back to the future to fix her mistake; not attempt to do so in the past. Some things are just unchangeable; Indian philosophy is very fascinating with respect to this. Ginny is afraid she will reveal too much that will affect the outcome of the future, but what exactly does she hope to change? She certainly cannot control Harry's infidelity and ultimately going bonkers. So she would have ended up in St. Mungo's. That is the crux of the matter. *light blub goes off* The reason that Draco actually visited Ginny in St Mungo's (I firmly believe that he only came to visit her; Ginny does find out that his mother was not there)is because these events make him believe that there is a chance; that a future with Ginny IS possible. He has already admitted to stalking Ginny, so after having this night with Ginny, he will only intensify it. So, of course, he'll know when Harry is out of the picture and when he can jump in. He believes that he and Ginny were together in some capacity, so he'll make it come true. So while Ginny might strive to contrive the opposite, she is actually cementing the past *satisfied smirk Draco style*

Of course, If Draco believed all that rot with Ginny being a slut, that is not exactly going to deter him. And it certainly makes sense why he would have been shocked to find Ginny a virgin. Can you imagine how he must feel after fucking an extremely experienced, sensual Ginny, and then fulfilling his fantasy by taking her virginity? He would have been out of his mind. Plus, if he found 37 year old Ginny that attractive, he would not be able to resist young Ginny at all!

So ultimately all roads lead to Rome (or heaven or more likely hell?);) I also see more smut in the works :) So keep them coming! And thank you for the wonderful chapter. You're still keeping me guessing, and I can usually figure out stories about reading half of it!

*wearing pretty crown with a vacant expression on face like pageant winners* I have gotten too many shocks to my system... I am still reeling after seeing the Dark Knight (which is mindblowing btw), only to read this chapter, and my senses are overloaded! Can't string together...coherent thoughts... I think I need to read the next chapter before trying to figure out what will be the reprecussions of this.

But really though, I didn't think Draco was capable of such cruelty (at least not towards Ginny) although I suppose the way he dealt his revenge on Harry should have hinted at his darkness. Still, can Ginny ever reconcile this Draco with her Draco when she meets him again? Draco will repent and feel sorry the moment this madness passes; that is why he would try to save Ginny from him, by getting her to reject him as her husband and by believing that he does not deserve to be her first. But, of course, our innocent Ginny would not have known about this side of Draco. Oh, how could you, Draco! Ginny is not exactly blameless. There is a reason why you don't awaken the sleeping dragon, if you know what i mean ;) Although, one thing is guaranteed, Ginny's release is going to be explosive, maybe one of those hour long orgasms or something :O (how would you like a roommate for that apartment in hell??)

*Shudder* You've rendered me speechless (I couldn't respond immediately, so I had to break for like half a day before coming back to review) Isn't nature so perverse (or at least authors :P)? Ginny wanted to know everything about Draco, and he had no choice but to answer her truthfully. However, she would never have been able to ask the questions that would have gotten him to reveal this darkness. Young Draco though has no such problems with keeping things secret, but she would much rather have not known about all of this. It's truly awful, and now I'm half convinced that Draco ends up in St. Mungo for his own treatment and ends up meeting Ginny there by coincidence (but only half).

So Ginny knows every deep, dark, disgusting fact about Draco and his thoughts and actions. But the fact that for the duration of their time together, she had no idea about this side of him is truly commendable on Draco's part. Perhaps the time has come for him to leave all his darkness and bitterness behind. Once Ginny reveals his future with her, about how he is kind and gentle and loving etc., then he can hope and dream about sunshine and butterflies and happily-ever-afters (at least for 19 some years). But the million dollar question is whether she will reveal that she damned him to eternity because she couldn't make up her mind about whether she loved him; that might push over the edge then after all. But that all comes later. Get him out of that damn self-inflicted torture spell!

P.S. I somehow never got into Hello Kitty, and don't see myself turning to it now. But stock market numbs the mind like nothing else :) And I must confess I don't know anything about QATD although I have read Slave... Pretty bracelet.

I hear that the form of sexual torture you described and the torture you inflict upon your readers by ending chapters where you do are quite similar! ;) Excellent chapter, and my theories are proving to be true! And it must be ever guy's wet dream to orgasm a dozen times continuously without waiting to recover! haha.

But now I wonder... what were the consequences of Lucius staying alive?! What rotten things is he going to get Draco to do? And I presume he can see Ginny because of his part demonic nature (but it's stronger than Narcissa's) Draco, however, has hope now (only to have it all dashed at the end of course). No wonder he was so shocked at the train station when Ginny could not bring herself to say that she loves him; she gives him hope by saying that in the future she will love him! Oh, she makes me so angry sometimes.

Gaah, I cannot stand the mention of a boy names Scorpius. What was JKR thinking?! Maybe he could go by a made up middle name, haha.

D/G will live on forever! Despite JKR's obvious attempts to squelch true love...

Author's Response: I don\'t love the name \'Scorpius\', but I don\'t claw at my eyes at it either. Doesn\'t really bother me either way. I seem to be waving a number of things in JKR\'s direction in my hatred for the epilogue, but we\'ll muddle through! :)

How could Ginny abandon her own child! She was so irresponsible in the way she left him alone... Of course, Draco has the biggest share of the blame. Although in many ways it seems like Ginny was the one who twisted the two Malfoys; she turned Draco into an heartless bastard and she abandoned Scorpius, condemning him to the same fate as his father. After all, she must know he would end up as cruel and heartless as Draco without her presence, but left him anyway. Oh well... I'm curious to see where you plan to take this. I'm confident we will see the reappearance of Ginny and the flashback to their brief love affair.

Author's Response: Mmmm, good point about Ginny. Thanks for being the first person to condemn her! LOL, nobody else minds that she left Scrap. You\'ll see in a later chapter why she wasn\'t worried about leaving him to become the same as his father.

I'm really enjoying this; Ginny's witty, sarcastic voice is really brilliant! It'll be interesting to see where it goes...

Just wanted to point out though, that it should be "Blaise and I" in the end, rather than "me and Blaise." I feel like poor Draco would rather commit suicide than speak improper English!

Author's Response: Thanks! And thank you for mentioning the correction. I just fixed it. =D I would never want my Draco to speak improper English!
