What's to know? I'm an avid D/G fan and nothing (and no one) will ever break up those two in my mind. They could both die in Deathly Hallows without every getting together (in canon at least) and I would rest assured that we loyal fans would find a way to rectify the situation. In my opinion, JKR's only mistake was not showing the love between our favorite Gryffindor and Slytherin.
