News Closing for the HolidaysThis is fair warning for everybody that the Cabal will get a holiday from December 22 to January 5, so submissions will be closed. I don't remember offhand if we can set it to allow validated members to continue posting - if we can, I'll do it that way. And if any of our stalwart Cabal members write any fic during their break, they can post anytime.Thank you for understanding that all these ladies work hard during the other 50 weeks of the year, so giving them a little time off to be with their families is a small price to pay. :) ETA: Submissions are now closed. Having a fic validated is different from being a validated member. Validated members are members who have consistently had their chapters approved on the first try and were recommended by a member of the Cabal to be able to skip the queue (a built-in function of the script—we click a button and voila). However, I misspoke before. Validated members (those who post without their fics first going into the queue) will not be able to post during the site downtime. However, admins (all levels) will be able to post. Sorry for the confusion; I mixed up validated with level 4 admins. I just checked on my test site and when the site closes to submissions not even validated members get to see the links in their profiles to add/edit fics, unfortunately. All admins will still have that power, however (in fact, this is the reason for the creation of level 4 admins, who have no other special features and are listed as regular members in their profiles). As far as I know there is no easy way to make give the ability to post to validated members when submissions are closed.
