I loved the satire and sarcasm. Your essay was very conversational. I'm glad to find another person who couldn't stomach Draco Dormiens.

Awesome essay! Hopefully this will inspire more! :p I loved all the reasonings and how well organized this is! The only thing that I didn't like much is the bit of N/G and H/G bashing in the beginning. I may not like both of those ships, but I hate ship bashing. But other than that, I just wanted to say brilliant job and keep up the great work!

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I don't mean to bash those ships, especially considering that I sail the H/G ship in 'real life' (i.e., the canon). I just meant it's harder - for me, anyway - to find really *good* H/G fanfics that "rock my socks" the way D/G does. ;)

Loved your essay and your exploration of the plausibility/implausibility of the ship. It was organized very well and your points explored thoroughly. I'd forgotten that Draco speaks to Ginny about the Valentine. Very nice detail. While I did like Draco before the movies (I actually didn't see them until CoS came out - have a thing about movie adaptations of books), I can see your point about Tom Felton's appeal to many fans - even though I am over seven years older than him. I think of him a little more like Spike, actually - always have (am working on my own essay tentatively titled the Draco Malfoy Manifesto). But, I was happy to read your essay. I love to read other's explorations and wish there were more posted. I would like to read more of your thoughts on Draco's character, and Ginny's as well.

Dude, if I was kicking off everyone who believes in H/G happening in canon but likes D/G in fanon, the site would be pretty darn empty. ;) Me, though, I'm in denial. I like it; it's a happy fluffy land.

Author's Response: Isn't it though? :-) Thanks!

This was so great. I loved it! Everything you said was well thought out and true. I've been addicted to this particular 'ship for so long that I could hardly remember why I started loving it in the first place! Your essay made all the reasoning come back to me... As much as I would adore Draco/Ginny happening in canon, I doubt it will. I mean, come on, we aren't supposed to actually like Draco. And the enemy doesn’t get the girl in the end. Even if he is as hot as Tom Felton. (I can say that with a very clean conscience, thank you very much!) You got the bad boy thing dead on, that’s for sure. Anyways, great essay. Made me laugh, made me ponder…made me want to stop bugging you with this boring review and go out and read some D/G goodness! Unlogical pairings make for good fic! :-D --PC--

This was a well written essay. It echos what i think of the ship and expressed very well. (Although if you want to get technical- although the asides were entertaining the were irrelevant to the essay and did detract a bit from the flow of it) A well written piece none the less Just my 2 cents Shades

Brilliantly written!! Another Reason D/Hr (bleh) could never work out is that A) For it to work out in the long run Draco would have to make a total 180 personality wise...not happening or B) Hermione leaves the Trio, again, not happening. love the essay! xxxx
