As I've promised... I'm here to reviews this wonderful one-shot.
I've *really* loved it... I'm so deeply affected by it. I *want* a guy like this too... Ginny, you're so lucky and you couldn't see it! But, let's go on about your fic... I don't think you need an heart-breaked reader :P!
But, you know... your Draco is so damned sweet, even thought he still remains strongly IC. I mean, even if he's looking for stay with a Weasley, he's still hating Potty Potter! And, he's still proud of being a Malfoy, even if he has understood that money aren't everything in life. You have created a character with lights and shades, as he was a real person... I'm really impressed! Draco is growed up from Hogwarts, but there are traits that still remain.
Really, I think it is a good sort of "stream of consciousness", explaing his life throught some important images. I could *feel* his love for Ginny and I partecipated with his jealousy and his difficulty on saying that he *loves* her.
This final version is much more credible: Ron's allusions, Draco's suspects, Ginny's reaction and all the details create a realistic scene. And your descriptions are good as usual: you put the reader in a corner of the stage, making possible to see everything's happening!
Really a good job! (and the last sentence is the good end... and so typical of Draco :P!)

Was beautiful that. And very canon-esque coming from Draco, always thinking Harry is besting him, and then at the end still gloating. He never told her that he loved her! But I guess that is Draco-esque too, so its fine essentially.
Well, at anyrate, little one-shots, make up for the lack of On Fire updates. In any event, take your time.

Author's Response: Yeah, I tried my best to be IC for once. That's why I didn't have him saying he loved her - I just can't see Draco doing that in real-life (as though he HAS a real life :-P), although it would be awfully sweet. I'm glad you liked it!

Oooo, now I'm all warm and FUZZY inside. And since there's snow on the ground I don't feel bad about breaking out the hot chocolate.
Draco still didn't tell her he loved her!!!! But that is what makes him Draco, so I suppose I'll forgive him.
And I can always forgive you for taking a break from On Fire as long as there are ficlets like this to compensate.
