Very good! I like the snowball stuff. I particularly noticed the 'heart of darkness' comment about the slytherin common room. an allusion to Conrad's novella, or just a coincidence? very cool. awesome job!

I would just like to say that is one of the cutest stories I have ever read. I liked everything about it, the writing, the plot and the characters especially. I can't wait for the next story from this author.!! Great job, especially for your first fanfiction!

That was lovely. Just lovely. Some more fantastic snippets. The last line obviously - I agree with everyone else. That was great. I hope the plot bunnies attack you and you are inspired to write another story. It would be a pleasure to read.

oh....what a wonderful ending..."a boy who could keep kissing you while he was falling was worth the trouble" (or something)...that's one of the best endings I've read in a long time! This story was wonderful - so sweet and uncomplicated...definately one of my favorites.

So sad this story is over now, I looked forward to reading it every time a new chapter came! I love the ending, I'm going to remember that line "A boy that could keep kissing you while he was falling was definitely worth the trouble" I love that line! I also love how you revealed the softer playful side of Draco that I love oh so much, lol, but while still keeping him in character, wonderful!

"Maybe that snowball had hit him harder than he'd thought." I LOVED THAT! Bringing it back to the beginning! *cheers* I really liked this. First of all, you've definitely ended my "Go with Draco! But...Harry's nice too!" mentality. That was done very well, how Harry was just miffed about his rival and not Ginny. Loved what you did with Euan! Good luck with chapter 7; I can't wait to see how it (might) come to an end!

What a unique take on Harry's feelings towards Ginny. The way you were able to express how he felt towards the Weasleys was very well done and, I think, extremely accurate. Great job on another wonderful chapter.

So....I love this story (yes your fans are clamoring for more, but we're patient too!). So lovely! and I love the characterization. The whole bit with Harry and Ginny and how his anger is directed more to her choice than the fact she is rejecting him is fantastic. I didn't get a chance to review the last chapter but there are just wonderful snippets of writing there - "If she'd thought his scent made her weak, Ginny would need to ask Hermione for some stronger adjectives to describe what it was like to kiss Draco". That was great. "[H]is lazy drawl was full of promises and intentions Ginny was sure were not entirely proper". I really, really like how you write. More please! :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much for that review (and for being patient)! I can promise that more is coming; I just can't promise when.

This is such an intriguing story and I really loved this chapter with the insight into Harry's 'pursuit' of Ginny. I'm looking forward to future chapters, and by the way, great characterization.

Assertive Ginny strikes again. Its great to see her go after what she wants. It was sad the way it ended in the last chapter but I'm sure you have some delicious way of making it work out for them in the end. your characterizations were lovely. Its always nice to see Draco in top form

Brilliant! From start to finish this was a brilliant read and I loved the interaction between the characters and the reason that Ginny spoke to Draco was very well done. I like the description of them as well and thought you were spot on with the characters. Keep up the good work!

She didn't wait for him? Interesting way of switching things up, but I would a happy ending (wouldn't we all??). Anyway, I like the story so far. It's got a light feel to it while still slipping a plot in there.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm thoroughly enjoying your story and I love the Ginny and Draco you've created. And Harry is actually a very good secondary character too. I'm just glad there is no short-tempered Ron raging around...A straighforward and relatively intellligent Harry is much better. Again, great job and can't wait to see where you go with it!
Name: swimchick1614 reviewed Advance, Surrender, and Retreat on Jan 04, 2005 08:39 am
nicely written...Intresting turn of the events at the end. I liked it. Wonder what he will do to get in her good graces, not that he really ever left =) update soon!
