It's funny. I started rereading this story this afternoon, then it was magically updated at just the right time. I like the ending very much. It ties things together extremely well. I particularly like Ron's annoyance at the beginning of the chapter; it echoes the first scene of the first chapter nicely. Thank you for the story!

aw. i always thought lucius would never do something so unselfish.
i think you should explain why exactly he did it in snape's point of view. it would make more sense to me. :)
Author's Response: Or, you know, I could just leave it as it is - throughout the entire fic Lucius has been incredibly conflicted about what his life has become. He knew Draco would never kill him, and Snape didn't have the means, so he took control of the situation. He made his peace with his family, and had the opportunity to say goodbye.

Never would have pegged Lucius for that kind of a guy, but then you never know. I thought the chapter was sweet and lovely - just the way a homecoming should be and I am happy that they decided to talk through their issues immediately instead of just putting it off.
