Excellent cross-over! You hade me gripped from the first paragraph... I have to admit I've never read a cross-over between Firefly and Harry Potter before and I never would have believed that the two worlds could combine into such a great story! And the icing on the cake was having Wash on the bridge and Zoe being able to talk with him at Hogwarts!!!
Author's Response: I love both of these worlds, and when I saw a challenge on LJ to blend them, I *had* to do something. And I had to mix my favorite characters. :) I'm glad you liked it just as much as I did.

Jayne and River... Now there's an interesting thought. :) I absolutely LOVE this story. I could totally picture all the people on Serenity. Only problem I saw was how you didn't really flesh out any of Ginny's relationships. She kinda showed up on Serenity, said how great friends they all were, but as far as you knew, she'd barely spoken to any of them except Kaylee and River. However, your most excelent writing totaly makes up for it. Rock, rock on!
PS. I don't know if you realised this. Maybe you've never heard the song, maybe you did it unconciously, or maybe you did it on purpose (in which case you should say so) but River's line "You could be my unintended choice to live my life extended" Is right out of the saong unintended by Muse.
PPS. Always remember I love you and your sernity/potter ways. woot!
Author's Response: I'm such a Rayne shipper, so I can't help but add that in somewhere. :) I fast-forwarded through a lot of Ginny's time on Serenity. I had just finished a 52 chapter epic, and I admit that I didn't want to repeat that. So I did take a shortcut on that and just mention that she'd been in the future for three weeks.
And I didn't realize that at all. I must've picked it up from a fanmix somewhere, since I don't usually listen to Muse. I'll go back and credit that. Thanks!
