Thank you for writing this wonderful epilogue.. I absolutely adore it !! How dare J.K. Rowling make Draco marry a nameless girl.. she should be informed of this newer and BETTER version of the epilogue.. :) Haha anyway, great job with writing this & I can't wait to read all of your other future fics! Well, this is certainly cathartic. It took me ten minutes of 'relaxed' breathing to put all right in my mind and Rhett Butler echoing comfortingly, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn". As far as I am concerned, Potter dashes off with Snape's memories and the lurking Hermione runs in to save her beloved Snape, Draco's hairline does NOT recede (cruel unnecessary blow)and he is happily married to GINNY and Hedwig simply suffered a concussion. How the Luscious Lucius swanned through the book with only some repairable damamge to his looks and ego, Heaven above only knows. Many thanks for this.
Author's Response: Yeah, well, remember she emasculated Lucius right off that bat and kept Draco as a coward. At least Narcissa held it together a bit! But all of it was so wrong!

Thank you so much for posting this! I'm really glad and relieved that I'm not the only one who thought that the epilogue was really, umm, not so great. It makes me think that, although it was fairly obvious that JKR was going to kill Harry off so that the series would be definitely closed, JKR had some odd change of heart and randomly decided that he should live and be given a lot of children. It seems to me that she really wanted the series to continue by creating a next generation. And I read in a post on this website somewhere about how JKR didn't like how attached to Draco we were, considering how 'evil' he was. She wouldn't have had him crying in a bathroom with Moaning Myrtle for comfort if she didn't like him at least a little too. I also feel that she, in her good graces 'allowed' him to live, and that he should be happy with a receding hairline and a child named :gag: Scorpius.
Author's Response: She just wanted Harry to have the one thing he never had: a family. So not only does he marry into a large family, he has three children with unfortunate names. And then she had to go take a last swipe at Draco because he lots and lots of fan girls! *snuggles Draco*

While I was fine with the epilogue, I couldn't help but feel a little down about D/G. I mean, did we HAVE to have an epilogue? Anyway, this certainly made me happy - I shall forever believe that THIS is what really happened :D

This was the just the right medicine for me after reading that horrible epilogue. I hardly expected JKR to write D/G, but the ending was sooo bad. Thank you.

From now on, this story is my canon!! Okay, this would never really happen in HP and I'm a canon maniac, but after JKR raped the canon she created herself, making half of the characters OOC, I really don't care. It's great. Amazing. I wish you're JKR.
