Noooo, it's not really Scorpius's fault when you think of it. He's just a very confused little boy! Please let Ginny come back to him! I'm curious about Draco too, why he hired her if he hated her so much or...he didn't hate her? Anyway, please let Ginny come back! For the child's sake!
Author's Response: Aww. I agree with you, actually; it isn't his fault! But such is life. You'll find out about Draco soon--but remember, he didn't hire her, Astoria did. Draco has had nothing to do with raising Scorpius, and I'm not sure has actually ever seen him before now.

I have to say that your summary intrigued me when I read it. Well, now that I've finished reading this second chapter, I'm hooked. It's going to be interesting looking at D/G from Scorpius's POV. I'm looking forward to the next chapter, and good luck with finding a proofer!

Very nice. Reminds me of the writing of Charlotte Bronte in Jane Eyre. Beautiful.
Author's Response: Heh heh. This review really threw me off for a long time, and is part of why I haven't responded to anyone for so many days. Jeez. Obviously I don't think my writing is anything like Bronte's, but... I'm *always* emulating her, usually unconsciously. Jane Eyre is my favorite book in the world. And just the fact that you thought of it while reading my fic blows me away, and is hard to process. Which is why it's taken me so long to reply. But in any case, thank you, thank you, thank you!

I didnt mean the story is horrible, just that if there isnt much D/G scenes, then I am confuse of what this story is focusing on...? I mean sure I like to see how Scorpius is growing up and understanding why he hate draco, but at the same time, it all tied back to Ginny. From the way you wrote chapter 2, it is hinting somehow draco like Ginny (or miss her even)...It just confused me more after reading your response. So there is no DG in story?
Author's Response: Whoops! Sorry, I guess I didn't explain myself very well. There is DEFINITELY D/G in the story. It is coming. You will see. The story doesn't necessarily focus on them, but they're a big, big part of it. Glad you don't think it's horrible!

Author's Response: Thank you! Those are very important questions, which will get answered next chapter (I think). Ginny and Harry most definitely do NOT have kids; this is my main departure from canon.

Oh, great. Draco has made Scorpius into mini-asshat like him. It's funny how a parents' influence on a child can have them turn on the one constant in their life. Draco, should be ashamed of himself, idiot.

You are so exactly right-- I think parents influence their children in a myriad of incredibly deep ways, even when they don't mean to, and even when they're hardly around. It's really hard to avoid having your opinions and beliefs changed by a parent, especially when that parent is someone with as strong a personality as Draco's. rnrnAs you can see, though, as Scorpius gets older he becomes a bit less of an asshat!You'll see more next chapter. Wow, this was such a sad chapter. I can't wait to find out what's behind Draco's hatred towards Ginny. It seems like there's a lot more going on than her just being a "Weasley".
Poor Ginny and Scrap, I could feel their pain so clearly. I could almost see Ginny's face crumbling from the words Scrap threw at her. Scrap's regret and lonliness made my heart ache for him.
I can't wait to read more.

oh...this is horrrible!! Ugh, I want some real D&G scene than they are fighting and then now she is gone =( I guess this does set up the scene...hoppefully ginny comes back in the next chapter (one can only hopes + dreams, right?)
Author's Response: Hmm...I hope you don't mean the story is horrible! I confess, it will be a long time before we see a real D/G scene, and they will be very limited. The D/G in this story is largely implied and serves as sort of background.

Author's Response: Hm, you're unlike the previous reviewer, who felt worst for Ginny. It's great that you're able to sympathize with Draco, though, because at this point he's still such a villain, but that will (very) slightly change.
